  1. I see. Thanks. Those have nothing to do with the Brickmaster subscription.
  2. Or how about an M-Tron gunship or AT-TE to carry it!
  3. An episode with Ahsoka and with the word "dead" in the title? Sounds promising!
  4. Yeah, I guess that's fair. But how soon is soon?
  5. Dammit! I missed the pics! Oh well, at least they sound good. Since you had to remove the pics, can you at least tell us which price is for which set? Also, were the USD prices given or are they just translated prices from the Yen prices?
  6. Hey! I simply said that I'm not very excited for these sets. Is that reason enough to kick me out of this thread? And even if it was, you're not in the position to do so, so shut up. That's exactly my problem: They clash too much. It would have been fine if the good guys were somewhat cartoony too, but like this, you can't take the baddies seriously. And what are heroes without good villains? Good luck with that! You might want to practice for when the time comes and join the reviewers academy. Point taken. But these guys are more cartoony than anything in Star Wars. Squidman is even more cartoony than Jar Jar!
  7. Oh, good! That's what I thought. Thanks for almost giving me a heart attack, Thok!
  8. Edit: Oops! Double post.
  9. Wait... It's $40 A MONTH?! I thought it's just $40 for the whole thing! If this is true, you are right - that is WAY too much money for six crappy sets and some other stuff!
  10. Thanks for yet another great pre-release review, Svelte! Initially, I was kinda meh about this set, but now after reading your review, I might get one of these after all, if only for the neat minifigs and bike.
  11. Well, I am not pumped at all. No, seriously, this line doesn't interest me all that much for some reason, even though I like the spaceship designs and love the Classic Space references. I think it's the overly cartoony baddies that ruin it for me. That stop-mo teaser is nice, though. I like how that guy punches the camera.
  12. Now see, that's the type of replies I was hoping not to get. Sorry for excluding you, rest of the world, but I created this thread to get honest opinions on BM and not to get the usual "Boohoo, we can't get BM!" responses. We (Americans) know it's unfair and we feel your pain, but there's nothing we can do about it, so please get over it and don't vote in this thread. Thanks. Care to share why not? Don't forget the two $5 off S@H coupons. That's good to know, thanks! Can you please also tell us if the tickets have expiration dates? Check the EB frontpage.
  13. Hello there. I was wondering who of you have (or have had) a Brickmaster subscription and what your experience with BM is (or was). Please also briefly explain your votes. Thanks. And yes, this thread is for Americans only! Or to be more specific, everyone with a BM subscrition and those who have the priviledge of being able to subscribe to it, but choose not to. Sorry for excluding you, rest of the world, but I created this thread to get honest opinions on BM and not to get the usual "Boohoo, we can't get BM!" responses. We know it's unfair and we feel your pain, but there's nothing we can do about it, so please get over it and don't vote in this thread. Thanks. I for one never had Brickmaster. It always seemed like a waste of money to me as most of the sets that you got with it were nothing all that special. However, with the quality licensed minis that you get with it now, I am quite tempted to change my opinion... So, what do you think?
  14. The Power Miners' heads are great for pirates (the mean side, not the scared side ). They are sort of modern pirates after all! And Castle is obviously a treasure cove for piratey pieces and minifig heads.

    Star Wars day

Yes, of course I did. I just don't know where it came from (like a special event or something). But I guess it simply originated from that force/fourth pun. Wookieepedia says that this is a day where SW geeks get together to watch all the movies and have lightsaber fights.

    Star Wars day

Happy Star Wars Day! This is the first time I have heard of it, and I still don't know what it is. But any day dedicated to the galaxy far, far away is welcome to me!
  17. I'm pretty sure the Strider thing was just fan art. Btw, if you like that, then you will love this!
  18. No problem! Oops! I guess that's partly my fault. Sorry.
  19. I disagree. Just imagine that you are a minifig living in one of the other themes and want to take over the SW theme. All you have to take it over with is bricks and pieces from your own theme, so you will have to use them. And in order to be able to conquer the awesome power of the SW vehicles, you'll have to "fight fire with fire" and make your own vehicle look like one of the SW vehicles. Makes sense, no?
  20. Aw maaan! Guess I'll have to make up my mind now. Oh well, I wont have the time to make multiple entries anyway. Well, it wont do me much good as I will have finals around that time. But why not. Any extra time is welcome!
  21. Alright, I get it! Thanks for the title! You're welcome. See, there's nothing wrong with discussing things. Actually, I would love it if the deadline would be extended too. At least until sometime after June 20 because that's when my summer break starts. I already am skipping food, friends and sleep, and I still don't have any time. I'm in college after all! Alright, well, I guess I have to honor my title as Mr. DIA, so here is another question: I don't see any "Only one entry per person" rule. Does this go without saying these days, or does it mean that we can make as many entries as we like? It would be great if we could, because it's hard to decide on a single theme to base your entry on. Sorry, but I think it says that staff cannot enter this contest. And yet, there is a space for staff entries in the entry thread...
  22. Well, after my nineteen months of membership, I finally got a title! Apparently I annoyed KimT here. The "MR DIA" stands for "Mr. Discuss-It-All". It refers to me being very specific about stuff, especially contest rules. The "GAT Maker and Royal Steamship designer" refers to my prize-winning GAT moc and my Royal Gunship moc, the only two MOCs that I posted in the Star Wars forum. It probably also refers to the fact that the only MOCs I ever posted on these forums are contest entries. I should start posting more regular MOCs... Kinda creepy that I got a title now. Just the other day I was talking to other members about not having a title via PM...
  23. But then it wouldn't have much to do with SW, would it? But yeah, I see what you mean. Yay! My MOC is an inspiration!
  24. Haha! What a fun idea for a contest! It's almost like a perfect response to this thread! Some fun entries are starting to materialize in my head. I'm not sure if I can find the time to build something, but I'll try. Just one question: What do you mean by "existing or non-existing Star Wars fighter/vehicle"? As in SW vehicles that have and have not been released by TLC?
  25. Well, you were wrong. We split up because we tried to confuse the enemy and got back together because Jim saw Grievous. Nobody ever said anything about the relic being in pieces, and even if it was, we wouldn't know, because by the time the Dooku stole the holocron, the Jedi masters probably weren't even done decoding it. Everything clear now? ... since it will be ignored anyway.
