  1. Haha, that's what you get for making me drop my sweets again! You may call me The Talented Mr. Turkoglu from now on! Sorry, maybe you'll have better luck with Frankfurt. I can adj for you guys. CF, I believe you promised to duel me next, so lets do it! CM, are you still down to adjudicate? Is CallMePie still playing? I'd love to duel Carlos again sometime too.
  2. Yes, that was an interesting bit of info. I think it makes sense. I always wondered how such a busy senator such as herself found the time to stick up her hair into such elaborate shapes on a daily basis. Agreed, especially since they don't provide any official timeline for these episodes. It just gets everyone confused. Well, as they said in the episode, Coruscant hasn't been attacked in a while, so there's not much else to do for security I guess.
  3. Good observation! So, in the Ninjago franchise there is going to be: Spinning tops Trading cards System playsets A Brickmaster book A videogame A boardgame A movie Anything I missed?
  4. Thanks, Grogal, especially for that pic of the elusive ATV. But where are the minifig pack pics you've promised us? @ Delta38: I don't think the underside of the tops comes off, it's the way they're manufactured, I think.
  5. Woohoo! A HP contest at last! And a new skin to boot! Does this make it a semi-HP month? Either way, I'm very happy! The new banner keeps nicely with the not-in-Hogwarts theme and looks nice. Too bad the thing in the top right corner covers Fenrir and Bella up. Nice idea for a contest, and very generous prizes! I have so many ideas... There's no overhang limit, right?
  6. I was just at my local Lego Store, and all the PQ sets were sold out aside from the magnet set and the BP. However, they did have something else: A PQ Coin Bank! It looked like a tomb of some sort with the Cursed Cobra head towering over it on a Technic structure. When you put a coin in front of it and turn a wheel on the side, the cobra head stretches forward and pulls the coin into the bank with its teeth, I believe. While nothing special, it's the best coin bank to date in my opinion, assuming the mechanism works. It's $20 though, so not a great value for about 160 pieces. I took pictures with my phone, but my phone is old and crappy, and I can't figure out how to transfer the pics to my PC. Sorry.
  7. Ready! I'll send my DS to CM now. (Not sure how long I can keep this up; I don't have that many Death Stars to give away. )
  8. Oh, my bad. Good for you! Go Hufflepuff! Enough adjudicating for me for now; it's time to get back into action! Anybody wanna duel me?
  9. OK, commanderneyo, let's pretend your theory about Savage being Ventress is true... How do you explain this whole "Secrets of Darth Maul Revealed" ad campaign? I mean, what the heck does Ventress have to do with Maul? EDIT: Man, what a lame episode. Barely any action, very predictable, and nothing significant happened other than the clone production being halted for now. My faith in this show is dwindling. And now they make us digest this crud for a month until they finally show some actually interesting episodes. Great. It was nice, though, to finally see at least one of Padme's handmaidens again; I was wondering what happened to them. Oh, and now that his mother is dead, I think it's pretty safe to say that Lux wont have a relationship with Ahsoka.
  10. Haha! Very good idea, I like it! Why haven't I thought of that? It reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command Christmas episode! The design is very simple, but it's good enough. The alien goat is kinda random, but it keeps nicely with your sigfig's theme. I should get working on some Holiday Star Command MOCs myself...
  11. Ollivander Dippet VS. Frankfurt Flashburn Round 3 Ollivander__________________________Frankfurt Low - 1______________________________Mid - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 ______________________Stupefy - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________Low - 1 High - 0______________________________Expelliarmus - 0 Expecto Patronum - 0__________________High - 0 Health: 1____________________________Health: 3 Determined to turn his luck around, Ollivander shot a well-aimed spell at Frankfurt's feet. The Hufflepuff tried to get back at him, but missed. He then tried stun Dippet again, but Ollivander disarmed him before he could finish the spell. Ollivander tried to use this opportunity to hit Flashburn again, but he dodged his attack and recovered his wand. Frankfurt shot a spell at Dippet's legs which made him fall. From the ground, Ollivander tried to fire a spell at Frankfurt's head, but the Hufflepuff yelled "Expelliarmus!" and Ollivander's wand flew out of his hand. He went after it and reached it just in time to counter a high attack from Flashburn with a patronus. The two spells collided, ending the third round. Ollivander lowered his head and left the hall. Hufflepuff had beaten him yet again. Winner: Frankfurt Flashburn! Congrats, Frankfurt! You're almost a Magus! Too bad, Ollivander, but you fought bravely. You'll get us Hufflepuffs eventually.
  12. Agreed. This is actually a pretty neat game. And the posters are very nice rewards! All the figs look great and totally need to be made, but I don't think they're any indication. Thanks, but I can't find the code. Since those posters are so awesome, and because I'm nice, I have uploaded the posters on my Flickr for all you lazies who can't be bothered to collect them on your own. Please do check out the game, though, if you have the time! It only takes a couple of minutes to play through.
  13. Ollivander Dippet VS. Frankfurt Flashburn Round 2 Ollivander__________________________Frankfurt Expecto Patronum - 0__________________Mid - 0 Low - 0______________________________Low - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 ______________________Expelliarmus - 0 Mid - 0______________________________Low - 1 Silencio - 0 __________________________Stupefy - 1 Health: 2____________________________Health: 4 As the second round began, the duelists stared each other down, waiting for the other to make his move. Then, Frankfurt raised his wand to make an attack, but Ollivander, fearing it might be a powerful spell, quickly summoned his patronus again. The white labrador appeared and jumped ferociously at Flashburn, who got so scared that he missed his shot. The patronus disappeared right in front of Frankfurt's nose. Ollivander cast a spell toward Frankfurt's legs, but he dodged it and fired a similar spell back. However, Ollivander escaped it just like Flashburn did. Then, both of them simultaneously yelled "Expelliarmus!" and the two disarming charms shot through the air, passing each other, and hitting their targets. With a double "BOOM!" which echoed off the walls of the hall, both duelists got catapulted backward. They shook off the pains in their backs from hitting the floor and got up. For an awkward moment, the two duelists stood there without wands. Then, they raced to their respective wands. Frankfurt was the first reach his, so he shot a spell at Dippet who immediately tripped and fell. Lucky for him, he landed right next to his wand. He shot a spell back at Flashburn, but missed. "Is that all you got?" said Frankfurt mockingly. Ollivander got furious and wished to shut the Hufflepuff up, so he raised his wand and said "Silencio!" However, Frankfurt anticipated that and quickly yelled "Stupefy!". The stunning charm was powerful enough to break through Ollivander's silencing charm and hit the Gryffindor right in the head. He stumbled backwards, befuddled. When he came back to his senses, the second round was over. Nice comeback, Frankfurt! Don't give up, Ollivander, you still have a chance! Send in your Round 3 DSs please!
  14. Nice Bat-MOCs. The Batmobile looks great, but I'm not so sure about Croc's car. The sand-blue seems out of place (I'd use the front part of his jet-ski if you have it) and I don't think Croc is the type who would use guns. He's mostly about brute force, so how about reinforcing his car instead, like a post-apoc vehicle without guns. Also, it might be a nice idea to make his car into an amphibic vehicle by adding a propeller in the back. I also like your Scarecrow design. Reminds me of the Arkham Asylum game. Out of curiosity: What do you need so many Penguins for?
  15. Yes. Check the forum index, there are reviews for both the seabed strider and ocean speeder.
  16. Sure, but I thought those were old news. Forgot to mention the red column piece though. Good idea! Can't wait to see your creations! Just two more pearl-gold fishes attached to one of the new nunchuk handles. You can kinda see it here and here. Hehe, yeah, gotta love that. Uhm, I already explained it.
  17. Yup, looks like every ninja has his own dragon, but I doubt we'll see all of them as sets unless there are like 3-4 more waves.
  18. Yup, they're from Swash Buckler's excellent Black Pearl MOC. The prices are pretty much what I expected them to be, although I was hoping Isla De la Muerta would be a bit cheaper, but oh well. Now all we need is pics!
  19. Wow! Thanks for the pics! This set looks beautiful! So many great parts and play features! Looks like turning the key causes the stickered podium to open and the hoplite to emerge! I'm so getting this set! There are some interesting pieces in that set as well, such as a pearl-silver unicorn horn used as a drill on the little robot, and what appears to be red 3-plate high cheese slopes right behind the canopy. And I agree, these two sets are so much better than what we have seen in this theme so far (except for the portal) even though I liked lime better than yellow.
  20. It's a tough decision, but I think I'll have to go for 7593 Buzz's Star Command Spaceship. Being a huge fan of the Toy Story trilogy and its spin-off cartoon Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, this set was an absolute must-have for me ever since I heard the first rumors about it! It's a fun, swooshable, and retro-looking spaceship with two great minifigs and a cute rover! However, the Pizza Planet Truck and Garbage Truck, as well as the new Hogwarts are great, must-buy sets as well!
  21. Sorry for the delay, I was very busy with school and setting up Xmas lights today. Ollivander Dippet VS. Frankfurt Flashburn Round 1 Ollivander__________________________Frankfurt Mid - 0______________________________Low - 1 Low - 0______________________________Expelliarmus - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 ______________________Stupefy - 0 Expecto Patronum - 0__________________Mid - 0 High - 1______________________________Low - 0 Health: 4____________________________Health: 4 Having found his last duel against a beginner not challenging enough, Ollivander decided to duel a fellow adept again, so he challenged Hufflepuff Frankfurt to a duel in order to get back at him for defeating him back when they were practitioners. Frankfurt gladly accepted, hoping to beat the Gryffindor again and get one step closer to Magus status. The duelists stepped onto the dueling platform... Ollivander shot a well-aimed spell toward the center of Flashburn's body, however Frankfurt ducked and cast a spell at Ollivander's legs, making him fall to the ground. Ollivander immediately tried to hit Frankfurt's legs as well, but the Hufflepuff was ahead of him again and quickly disarmed him. Ollivander ran after his wand, avoiding a stunning spell from Flashburn. Once he recovered it, he pointed at his opponent and yelled "Expelliarmus", causing Frankfurt to loose his wand just like he did a moment ago. However, Frankfurt was quick to pick his wand back up and shoot a spell at Ollivader. To protect himself, Ollivander summoned his patronus. The white labrador bravely jumped in front of its master, taking the hit for him. As his patronus disappeared, Ollivander saw Frankfurt crouching down to make another low attack, but this time he was prepared. Leaping out of the way, he cast a spell right at Frankfurt's head, thereby evening out the score between them in time for the end of the first round. Who will tip the scales in the next round? Send in your Round 2 DS's when ready, and we'll find out!
  22. Again? Thanks, but I can't take all the credit. My source was Tim Steff from FBTB: LINK Now if only there was a CW Obi Wan Alarm Clock... That would be kinda sweet. It's strange though that there still hasn't been a sign of the Luke clock.
  23. Yeah, I like the Clone Wars too, but I don't think I could sleep with such eyes looking at me in the night. Oh, and sorry for posting it in the wrong place; I still have to get used to this 2010/2011 split.
  24. Since when is Brickipedia a reliable source? All these rumours are rather sketchy in my opinion. By the way, two more alarm clocks have been found: CW Yoda & Anakin. edit:sniiiip check the 2010 topic for the picture.
  25. I suggest that you watch that movie again without your nostalgia goggles because if you look past the visual effects, you'll see it's actually a clever, unique story about the concept of physically planting an idea in a persons mind by entering dreams within a dream and the quest of a troubled man who tries to fight his feelings of guilt to regain the life that he had lost, and it makes you think about whether the world you hold for real is real or just a dream. I don't think there has ever been a movie like this before.
