  1. Don't you mean playability? That's intentional. I was trying to make it fit into the theme. Only four people voted for me. Looks like I should stick to System MOCs.
  2. Great work again, Penguin! That hairpiece works amazingly well for the Riddler! Not so sure about the Penguin. And no offense, but I like the regular mime face better than what you made. Yours is just a bit too creepy.
  3. Okay fancies a duel. Anyone up for it?
  4. Episode 20: Death Trap OK, here is the beginning of the big Boba Fett season finale that everyone was so excited about. Somehow young Boba has managed to sneak into a group of clone cadets who are headed for the Venator Mace Windu is on. The first part of the episode is spent showing how great Boba is, demonstrating his mad skills with a gun during target practice and his detailed knowledge of the Venator during a pop quiz. Then he goes off to plant a bomb in Windu's quarters, but before Mace enters the room, be is called away, and a clone gets killed in his place. So, Aurra Sing, who is remotely working with Boba, orders him to sabotage the ship. He succeeds, and the ship starts getting pulled toward the planet below, but everyone still has enough time to escape. Boba finds himself in an escape pod with the cadets and somehow sabotages the pod simply by pressing a button so that it floats out into space. There, Aurra Sing picks Boba up in the Slave I and forces him to jettison the cadets back out into space. However, Anakin and Mace find them. The episode was good for what it was. It made Boba look like a skilled boy, but also one who is struggling with morals. I really liked it when the sad chorus kicked in as he shot the cadets off into the unknown; it added to the drama of the scene nicely. I also thought it was clever to have Boba sneak into the Venator as a clone since he looks exactly like them. However there are some plot holes. How did he meet up with Aurra and Bossk? How did he get into the Youth Brigade? Why is there a "Sabotage" button in an escape pod? They are just minor things and don't distract from the episode too much, so it works as it is, but still. 8/10 There's not a whole lot of new stuff in this episode, so we'll focus on the new characters. Obviously, one of them is CW Boba Fett. The minifig that we got of him in the Jango's Slave I set wasn't bad, but it was yellow, and we all know TLG can do better. A clone head with Dastan hair would probably do the trick, but I'd like to see a more accurate hairpiece. Young Boba Fett And while we're at it, why not get some young clone cadets too? They don't look particularly exciting, but they might be good for some new hairpieces too. Clone Youth Brigade And then there's Aurra Sing and Bossk. Aurra is a bounty hunter who briefly appeared in TPM, and she's an interesting character; very evil. We already got Bossk and I don't think a CW version of him would be much different, so the only one we want is Aurra, but it looks like we're already getting her, too, in the next wave. Here is a comparison (I believe the Aurra image is okay to post now?): The admiral of the Endurance was kinda neat too. He had a Scottish accent and went down with his ship which is respectable. Shoan Kilian We also saw a clone gunner with a pretty cool paint job (and nickname). Sergeant Fury Lego ships appearing: Anakin's JSF, Venator, RGS, V-19 Torrent, Republic Attack Shuttle, Jango Fett's Slave I Lego Wishlist: CW Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, clone cadets, Shoan Kilian, Fury
  5. Relax, guys, it's not even been a week since the last review. def and I are on it, but we don't wanna rush it, and we have lives too. I'm working on the next review and it should be posted soon. Patience, young padawan.
  6. Nicely built entry, though the subject matter is a bit strange for an everyday life contest. What?! I deny having had any part in this pedophile incident! By the way, I saw that you entered this in a contest over at CABG too. Is that allowed?
  7. Borders has a 40% off one toy coupon that is valid through Monday. Also, they're having a "Lego Party" on Nov 6th at 2 pm with "games, building activity, Lego Atlantis giveaways, and more". Might be worth checking out.
  8. Agreed! It's not the best Bruce Willis movie, but one of his best in a while! Sure, it bombs in terms of realism, but it's based on a comic book after all, and that's just the humor of this movie.
  9. You forgot the light jet hinted at by the end of the trailer!
  10. Here we go again - people seeing what they want to see in such simple promotional vids: new sets and minifigs. Though I can't blame you after we saw the new ARC-170 in Quest for R2 before it was released. I certainly wouldn't mind a new Jabba's Palace set with a printed Jabba and Gamorean guard, and maybe even the new Boba. Not so crazy about the We-Only-Know-One-Song band. Back on topic: As always, I love all the little details they put in this, such as all the signings on Vader's casts. My favorite: "Who's old now? - Obi Wan"
  11. Good, you still owe me a double-scoop sundae! Thanks, CM, DS sent.
  12. Actually, I think the freezers are the only things that you'd have to downscale aside from the cart, and that wouldn't even be that hard; just remove the first layer of bricks above the dark grey plate and they should be fine. For the cart, try making it 3-wide or even 2-wide, and use droid arms for the basket.
  13. Very nice entry, but it feel rather empty to me, though I do understand your scale problem. It would be much funnier if there was somebody there to push him, possibly another Jedi Master such as Mace or Obi Wan, and maybe some other shoppers who are giving Yoda weird looks. Therefore, I'd recommend to give the down-scaling another shot. I'm sure it's possible. One thing that might help is replacing Yoda's legs with something brick-built in order to make it look more like he is sitting. Also, how about giving Yoda one of the Mexican's maracas as a rattle?
  14. Ah, nice duel, Frankfurt! I finally got you! But remember, it's still a victory for Hufflepuff. What's the matter, Carlos? Ran out of performance enhancers? Congrats, Ollivander! I'm available if anyone needs an opponent or adjudicator!
  15. I like 'em long and slick!
  16. No, the TS arms clearly reach below the waist of a minifig whereas on the gorilla they are still somewhat above it.
  17. I doubt it. The dragon is from the Ice Dragon set in the NinjaGo line and is clearly Chinese themed, so it wouldn't fit in with Kingdoms anyway. And the small dragons weren't made for the Kingdoms line either, they're from Harry Potter. I don't even think they're supposed to be real dragons, just gargoyles and paper weights etc.
  18. Looks like we're being treated to it a little early! Enjoy! So much for it premiering on you guys' birthdays!
  19. Very creative idea! I hope you'll be able to finish it. That Aragog ride is a good start! Hm... How about a carousel with Hippogriffs, Thestrals, Centaurs, and brooms?
  20. Round 1 DS sent. Perhaps I'll get involved in the adjudicating business too. Until now I have been holding back since it says that only experienced players are encouraged to do it, but now I think I got the idea.
  21. Another behind the scenes video about the making of the score. Less than two weeks to go!
  22. Finally got the Burrow, at 30% off MSRP from Borders using a 40% coupon and 5 borders bucks.
  23. No guarantees. Ah, thanks. I have no clue about sports, so I couldn't know. Who'd like to adjudicate for me and CM? Don't let KDM do all the work!
  24. Yay! Thanks, KDM! And good job Fox, but in the end, you were no match for me again! Frankfurt, would you like to be next? I still have a score to settle with you! 'Puff Power!
  25. It's a bit misleading though when you say "here is what you see when you open the box". I was confused at first too. So, does it beep every time you hit the head? That sucks.
