  1. They are, actually, although each one has its own unique flavor to it. Because it's tied to the movie release, and LSW3 was originally supposed to be released this year, but it got delayed for some reason.
  2. I can very well imagine the Islanders having the old Islander hairpiece with one of those new small bone pieces (as seen in some 2011 Police and NinjaGo sets) stuck on top of it. I hope this is the case!
  3. Thanks, but where did you read that about a Lighting Dragon? One thing I noticed: The description of the fortress mentions a giant spider, so I'm guessing that big skull with tentacles can be detached and used as a spider. There are four red "lamps" to indicate the eyes of the spider.
  4. What a nice loot! But weren't you expecting more Spartans? You're very lucky indeed as most of the rest of us can only dream of getting so much Lego (and in some cases candy) for free! Enjoy being a TFOL while you can. Have fun with your presents, but watch out that you don't mix the minifigs up with the candy! Yes. It was me.
  5. Yeah, saying that every movie made in the past 30-40 years is a HUGELY generalized statement. I doubt that you have seen every single movie to be able to say such a thing, and even if you did, you'd really have to be heartless not to enjoy marvels such as the PIXAR movies or thought-provoking exceptions such as Inception. And I think everyone should stop naming Twilight in this topic. It's just redundant.
  6. Yeah, those fins look much too thick, and according to that definition chart, it's supposed to be a single tail anyway. Otherwise, this looks great, even though it's kinda hard to see.
  7. Well, you can duel each other (I can adj again in that case), or one of you can duel me if you dare!
  8. Yeah, that would be great! Can't find them. Help please?
  9. I'll be honest: Yes, I've done it before, and yes, as long as the item you're returning costs more than the one you're keeping, it works. The ethical question that comes along with it is a different thing. With TRU's ridiculous mark-ups, it almost seems fair, but it's still cheating.
  10. Source? Hm, so the rumor of an earth dragon set just might be true.
  11. Please keep the discussions in this thread to Season 1 & 2 episodes (for now). Everything else belongs in the Season 3 discussion topic in the Multimedia forum.
  12. That's the spirit!
  13. Thanks, I do my best to honor the writing quality of Miss Rowling. I changed it for you. Ollivander Dippet VS. Lelith DeNomolos Round 2 Ollivander ___________________________Lelith High - 0 ______________________________Protego - 0 Mid - 1 _______________________________High - 0 Expelliarmus - 1 _______________________Protego - 0 Low - 1 _______________________________Mid - 0 Expecto Patronum - 0 __________________ Protego - 0 Health: 4 _____________________________Health: 0 Ollivander was the first to break the dramatic silence as he fired a spell at Lelith's head, but she quickly blocked it with a shield charm and shot a spell at Ollivander's head in return. However, with his Quidditch-player reflexes, the Gryffindor dodged the attack and cast another spell which caught Lelith by surprise and made her stumble backwards. Ollivander used this moment of confusion to disarm his opponent. Lelith cried "Protego!", but she lost her wand before she finished the word and fell to the floor. She desperately grabbed it and fired a curse in Ollivander's direction, but she missed. "All too easy," said Ollivander and cast a spell that drained Lelith's last bit of will to fight. Knowing he had won, he summoned his patronus again to tease the young Slytherin girl, but she cast yet another shield charm to keep the white dog away from her. Lelith got up and left the Great Hall as fast as she could, trying to avoid the disappointed and taunting looks of her fellow Slytherins. Clearly she had not studied enough... or was it just practice that she was lacking? Winner: Ollivander Dippet Ouch! Tough luck, pedro, hopefully you'll do better next time. Congrats, CF! Two more wins 'til Magus status! Please update your profiles accordingly.
  14. Thanks for the pics grogal! Keep 'em coming! I knew it! Nya does have a normal face! And do I spy small bones on Garmadon's helmet?
  15. Happy Birthday, mate! Hope you had a great day! Here's a little present from me! Sorry, couldn't resist! Don't forget to post a pic of your B-day loot!
  16. Nice review, thanks, but I would have liked to see more real photos rather than close-ups of the box art. I like the bi-plane. I've always loved bi-planes that look rounded and cartoony, and this one reflects such a personality perfectly. Sure, it's not as large and detailed as the IJ bi-plane, but for an affordable little set, it looks very good. Much better than the old adventurers planes anyway, which may have been cheaper, but also more <insert that tiresome argument>. As for the rest, yes, it would have been nice if there was a secret compartment or something at the base of the obelisk, but the fact that it comes with two of the flying mummies makes up for it. Other sets of this price range in themes such as Atlantis and SP3 usually only come with one baddie. The minifigs look great, especially Jake who looks better than the Series 3 Pilot in my opinion. And the addition of the feature with the grappling arm is neat too, although I'll probably mod it out to improve the look of the bi-plane.
  17. It was confirmed a while ago that there wont be an elf theme, at least not for a while. Elfs wouldn't fit in with the current, more realistic Kingdoms sets anyway. Therefore, I don't see much of a point in this thread.
  18. Ollivander Dippet VS. Lelith DeNomolos Round 1 Ollivander ____________________________Lelith Low - 1 _______________________________Mid - 0 Expelliarmus - 1 ______________________Protego - 0 High - 0 ______________________________Mid - 1 Expecto Patronum - 0 __________________Protego - 0 Mid - 0 _______________________________Mid - 0 Health: 4 _____________________________Health: 3 Since her first defeat in the Dueling Club, newcomer Lelith had not been seen again. She had spent all her free time in the library, trying to learn as much as possible to avoid failing again and dishonoring her parents' last request of her becoming the best Witch of all. After weeks of studying, she felt that she was ready to take on anyone, even an adept! One might say there was new hope born in her. And so, she accepted a duel with Ollivander Dippet, a Gryffindor who prided himself on being the only one to have ever beaten Lelith's fellow Slytherin Carlos Peerce, the dueling champion. Lelith decided that this fool needed to be put in his place, so she stepped forward confidently. She aimed her first spell right at Ollivander's chest, but he was able to dodge it in time and shot a leg-locker curse at her. Lelith immediately fell over, and to avoid getting hit while removing the curse, she cast a shield charm over herself. However, Ollivander yelled "Expelliarmus!" and broke through her shield, sending her wand flying. Ollivander tried to take advantage of the moment and shot a spell at Lelith's head, but she leaped out of the way toward her wand. Once she had it in her hand, she quickly fired the curse at him that she tried before, and it hit him right in the stomach, causing him to fall on his knees and vomit all over the floor in front of him. Trying to overcome his nausea, Ollivander mentally visited his happy-place. As Lelith got ready to cast another spell at him, he remembered the feeling of defeating Carlos Peerce and said "Expecto Patronum!" A glowing white labrador emerged from his wand and jumped toward Lelith, but she cast another protective spell. The labrador collided with the shield and both disintegrated in a puff of smoke. With their sight impaired by the smoke, the two duelists made blind attempts at hitting each other with spells, but they both missed. As the smoke cleared, Ollivander and Lelith stood there staring at each other, wands pointed at one another... The first round ends with both duelists hit, one more than the other. Send in your Round 2 sheets when ready! (New-born hope - Get it? )
  19. Wow, Nya looks great in her final version (from what I can make out)! Plus she comes with two black lightsaber handles with golden spear-point blades! If she also has a double sided head with a version of her face without the mouth cover, I'll definitely get her!
  20. I thought you got toughness when you became Magus, not divination! An exciting duel indeed! And huzzah for my ice cream! It can rest in peace now. Not so decent then, is it? Sorry to hear that. I'm slowly settling old scores. Would you like to be next, Carlos? (No, I'm totally not trying to take advantage of your situation. ) EDIT: I can adj. for you, if you want, CF. I think it's time for me to get into the adjudicating business too.
  21. That would be the only reason for me too since I don't plan on getting the pyramid, but I prefer the old printed ones anyway, which I have plenty of.
  22. Right, because constantly doing stuff that provokes people is very smart. And I don't "hate it when someone see things differently"; in fact, I agree with you. Shyamalan movies are terrible, and Knight and Day was pretty bad too. It was basically a middle finger to all guys who went to see that movie, because it had a cliche romantic comedy plot and most of the action sequences were shown from the POV of the character that was drugged to near-unconsciousness at the time. Some of the scenes were kinda funny though.
  23. Well, according to the review, it's 11€, so I'm guessing it will be 10-14 USD. I agree with xwingyoda that this is not a very good price, considering you get a lot more for the same price with the Staff set. I think I'll pass.
  24. See, this is what Walter is talking about. Perhaps it didn't live up to your expectations, but do you really want to unsee it? I think not.
  25. Sigh. This thread is like boomerang; just when you thought you got rid of it, it comes back around to hit you in the face again. Ironically, it was revived by an Aussie. (no offense) Admitedly, they were alright, but forgettable, which is not supposed to be the characteristic of a Disney movie. Bernard and Bianca 2 (aka. Rescuers Down Under) is a great exception though as it is one of my favorite Disney movies, as are all the Aladdin sequels, especially King of Thieves which I just love! Genie is absolutely hilarious, and the story is great! I agree, there are some movies being mentioned in here that are bad, but not so bad that you'd need to unwatch them. However, regarding Plan 9 and the SWHS, I'd say they don't belong in this thread either. There's bad, and then there's hilariously bad, and I think these two movies fit the latter quite nicely, making them enjoyable in an unintentional way.
