  1. That's because BDs are hardly being shown on this show anymore. Filoni & Co. are too busy introducing more and more new kinds of droids. While some of them may be cool, I do miss the good old times when it was just clone troopers vs. battle droids...
  2. Hi everyone. I don't post much in this forum, but this is a battle mech that I wanted to share with you before I take it apart. I built it years ago, and I based its look on the mechs in the MechWarrior series of videogames. The cockpit can open to reveal the pilot (MechWarrior) at the controls. At the top of the mech there is a maintenance hatch. Behind the energy cell on the back there is an escape hatch for the pilot to exit through the rear (Boy, that sounds wrong! ). The arms of the mech can be lowered or raised by turning the red knob on the back. Also, the guns (or forearms) can be tilted 90 degrees manually. That way the MechWarrior can shoot down any enemy air support. I hope you like it. You can find more pics in this brickshelf folder.

    MOC: SCATT

Greetings, Space Rangers! This is the latest entry in my series of MOCs based on the old and underrated cartoon Buzz Lightyear of Star Command! The SCATT (Star Command Armed Troop Transport) features six large, individually shock-absorbed wheels for ultimate grip and flexibility that allows the vehicle to drive any kind of terrain. Here you can see the shocks in action! On top of the vehicle there is a turret that can rotate 360 degrees and aim up and down from where XR can shoot down any attacking enemies. The rear hatch of the SCATT can open up to form a boarding ramp. All space rangers to your stations! The top part of the SCATT opens up to reveal the interior. It seats six Space Rangers comfortably, including the pilot. An overview without the rangers. The interior features a cargo container and several storage compartments. The equipment of the SCATT includes a monitoring station with a radar and other scanners for detecting suspicious activity. The container that goes next to it can be easily removed. On the other side there is a weapons rack with various heavy blasters. Of course every Space Ranger has a standard-issue wrist laser built into their suit, but sometimes you just need a bit more firepower. A small corridor connects the troop bay with the cockpit. Inside the cockpit, Buzz Lightyear drives this beast and operates the two laser cannons. I don't have any reference of the actual vehicle from the show unfortunately, but you can briefly see a part of it in the intro to the show, being chewed on by a giant purple monster at 0:37. And here we have Buzz Lightyear and his heroic team of Space Rangers! As you can see, brave beings from all over the galaxy join Star Command! Who is that handsome human next to Buzz? I'd like to use this opportunity to show off the accurate Zurg blaster I built. Also, I made some of his robot "Hornet" minions. Some more views of the blaster. Sadly, the barrels can't rotate, but at least it looks a whole lot more accurate than TLG's. You can find more pictures in this Brickshelf folder. Please let me know what you think! To infinity... and beyond!
  4. I think the problem here is that there is no active regulator for the Licensed forum, so there's no one to keep such a thread up to date. Therefore, we'll have to make do with the discussion threads that we have now. I'll do my best to keep all known rumors in the first post of the SS and Disney threads.
  5. Not if they do what's on everybody's mind: Collactable Superhero Minifigures!
  6. Oh where to begin! For Marvel, I'd want Venom (comic/animated version, not the horrible movie version ), War Machine, Nightcrawler, The Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom, For DC, I'd want a new Nightwing, the Flash, and any Bat-villains and Lantern Core members they can give us. That's just the tip of the iceberg that is my wishlist though. Boob mold anyone?
  7. Sweet! Thanks for all the votes, everyone, and congrats to my fellow winners, Doc and Penguin! Seeing as I am a proud Atlantian warrior, I think it would only be suitable for me to be awarded with the Key of Atlantis! EDIT: Do we also need to say which tag we want it to replace (since we can only have 5)? If so, I'd sacrifice my ostrich tag, in order to replace one theme month tag with another, so to say.
  8. I agree, a fanon vehicle needs to have some association with other "official" vehicles, be it color scheme, shape, or just certain design elements. As for the M-Wing, I don't really get FBTB's obsession with it either. It has some NPU, and it sorta looks like an M from above, but aside from that it's really not that great IMO.
  9. Hm, your best bet is probably the V-Wing. It's nice, small, and swooshable. The Geonosian Fighter is very sleek and swooshable too, but it may be hard to incorporate in a non-SW theme. Also, Cad Bane's Speeder is very good and swooshable too, but it's not a space ship in that sense, so you might have to do some modifying.
  10. I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere yet, but I found 30080 Ninja Glider at Target yesterday. They had it by the registers, and there was only one hanging among a few Atlantis promos. It's a pretty cool set, so if you're in the US and are looking for it, that's where I would check.
  11. Great work, everybody! Especially you, designholic! My local Lego store had dozens of these figs in the Build-A-Minifig station, due to all the unsold copies of Lego Universe no doubt. That inspired me to take this picture.
  12. This one is not really a Funny, so I'll post it here: Bob the Stormtrooper finally graduates from the Imperial Academy. Lord Vader himself presents him with his certificate. One can only imagine his excited face under that helmet. EDIT: Looks like Wayno already had a similar idea. I didn't mean to copy him.
  13. Nice scene, but I agree with Nick that the part of the wall above Ms. Norris is too empty. I'd follow one of his suggestions of fixing this. I'm also not a big fan of how the wall just ends at the top. It looks unfinished. I'd at least lay some tiles onto those studs to have it match with the overall smoothness of the rest of the MOC. Also, Harry doesn't look very much in a hurry. It looks more like he's just happily walking down the hall. I'd at least turn his head to the serious face and try to pose him in a better running pose. There are other things that puzzle me about this MOC (like why is Harry running away from the cat? It's not like he's broken any rules, has he? And since when do Hogwarts students carry suitcases into Transfiguration class?) but that would just be nitpicking. So with a few small modifications, this could be a great HP MOC, so keep up the good work!
  14. The finale sure looks epic. Here are some more teaser images:
  15. Actually, it's not clear who that commander was supposed to be (although Bly would be the best bet) and Masked is making fun of that.
  16. I have created a new topic with all the information we have for now.
  17. ARE YOU READY KIDS? I CAN'T HEAR YOUUU! OK, since the other Spongebob 2012 threads seem to have disappeared, I'll start a new, semi-official one. So here are the confirmed sets: 3817 The Flying Dutchman $24.99 / 29,99 € 3818 Bikini Bottom Undersea Party $49.99 / 59,99 € Discuss!
  18. Oh, I see. Yes, you're right, the gattling gun piece is trans-yellow and and that armor piece is trans-orange. And I'm pretty sure that's just a lightsaber with a radar dish, which is indeed not bad at all. I highly doubt that. When did Bruce Banner ever wear a gun-metal colored shirt? I'm still holding out hope that those are just preliminary stand-ins and will be the right color in the final product.
  19. I think Joker's gun is just Iron Man's gattling gun in trans-orange.
  20. Or maybe Scooby-Doo? Lego-dooby-doo!
  21. I think it's a neat idea. A haunted house in the style of the Winter Village or the modular buildings could be a great set, and I think it would be much more popular with kids than the Xmas themed sets, if only for all the monster figs included. They could make use of all the monster figs and molds they created for the CMF series and maybe even introduce some new ones. A well-executed Frankenstein lab would be great too. But I think this should go in the town forum, unless you want this to be an action theme with a PQ-style gang of ghost/monster hunters or something. Actually, that could make a pretty cool theme too.
  22. WOOT! Looks like it was worth the wait! Can't wait to see what I get!
  23. Have you seen the prelims of the upcoming Cars sets? Seeing as there are quite a few single cars among them, I guess these will be replacing TTs for now. The only new part, as far as I can tell, is that big spoiler. There are several other Cars sets being released next year, so I think Racers is making way for the Cars theme for now.
  24. I suppose you're right. .
  25. Very cool MOC, Bayou! I have never seen anything quite like this! You have used some interesting techniques to achieve the desired perspective. Well done! Perhaps now you could make a follow-up MOC showing the Death Star trench run from Darth Vader's point of view?
