  1. Yeah, it's disappointing to see that there don't seem to be any sets based on the first Cars, considering we're still missing some important characters from that film. I wonder what Red Water's Rescue is though. Could it have something to do with Red the firetruck? John Carter could be interesting, yes, but I'd still prefer Brave.
  2. Indeed I have! And I agree, it seems like a great show! The quality of animation and the epicness of it are almost on par with The Last Airbender! The writing is good too, although a bit cheesy at times. The plots have been pretty predictable until now, but perhaps it will get better. And I agree, the art style is quite remisent of Miyazaki's, especially that of the Petalars. I have been watching a lot of cartoons lately. Most of them are old shows that I never got into as a kid. One show that I liked in particular was Gargoyles! What a great show! It has the same feel as Batman: The animated series, and not just because of its bat-winged nocturnal protagonists. It deals with a lot of adult themes, going as far as to introduce a KKK-like faction! I'm really shocked that Disney approved to make a show like this, but I'm very glad they did! Unfortunately the show ended after only two seasons, leaving several loose ends, but it was great while it lasted. I have also been catching up on all the old Marvel cartoons, including The Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, and X-Men. Hulk started out pretty good, but became really cheesy toward the end. I found She Hulk to be rather annoying. The Fantastic Four: World Greatest Heroes was a decent show, but the plots were more than cliche. Silver Surfer was very cheesy and boring. I liked Wolverine and the X-Men, and now I'm halfway through X-Men: Evolution, which is not as good, but still watchable in my opinion. I'm not sure if I want to see X-Men and Iron Man: TAS. Both of them have a very corny feel to them. Transformers Prime is a good show too, but I wont get into that as there is a Transformers thread for that. And the new episodes of Futurama are great! Regular show is pretty funny too. Like the commercials say, "it's anything but."
  3. That's one of the things that bothered me about the Dino Island theme, it didn't even make sense for the adventurers who were treasure hunters themselves. I think their excuse was that they were capturing the dinos in the name of science as their base was called the "Research Compound". The Quest team is lead by an archeologist too, so they could go for the same story. But since their Pharaoh adventure was more about saving the world than making a profit, I think they could also say that the dinosaurs are threatening the world somehow, similar to how they did in the Dino 2010/Attack theme. I for one don't think that this will be a PQ sequel though. I'm sure Graham from All About The Bricks would have mentioned something about that if it were. Instead, I think it will be its own theme like Dino 2010, but with less of a military/Apoc theme. I hope the dinosaurs will have more of a look like the ones from the Dinosuars theme, but with more posability. You expect TLC to mold all that for what is likely to be just another one-off theme? Simply that they're not brick-built like the ones from the Jurassic Park, Dinosaurs, and Creator themes were. So anyone hoping for these to be brick-built should probably not get their hopes up. She says similar things about Star Wars fans sometimes... But let's not get into that right now. Well, the source of the rumor says that it is simply called "Dino"; I just added the 2012 to the title just to differentiate it from the previous Dino themes. You can re-title the thread if you want.
  4. Indeed. Even Harley's teeth were colored yellowish from time to time in that show. I think it fits.
  5. Probably. These are only the January wave. I'm still holding out hope for sets based on Brave. Agreed, that set sounds promising! It will probably include McMissile, Prof. Z, and Acer and Grem with their welding gear. I really hope it also includes Rod Redline! Yes. I'm guessing he will also be in the Mater's Escape set.
  6. Wow, sounds like somebody has a bias against a certain theme. You lost me there. Are you talking about the old or the new theme? If it's the latter, shouldn't we be calling it Dino 2012?
  7. As tin7 said, if anything, this is good news as it shows that Lego is indeed interested in selling products based on Disney classics, so we just might see System Disney Princesses some day! After all, Disney makes dreams come true!
  8. System. Duplo sets have different numbers.
  9. Or maybe he will appear in an exclusive set that we don't know about yet. Good guesses, djmangunz. Though I wouldn't go as far as to call you a genius.
  10. No, I guess not. I just wanted to make sure by asking the action figure experts around here. And since this has turned into a wishlist thread, let me be the first to say that I'd like to see Spider Man as a buildable figure. I probably wouldn't buy it, and it probably wouldn't look good like most of these figures, but it's possible and would still be interesting to see. But more than anything I want War Machine! It would just be a recolored Iron Man, but still!
  11. Not so hasty, Pepper! 2011 isn't over yet! This just popped up on Brickset. Looks pretty neat. No info on where it came from yet.
  12. I'm guessing Wonder Woman will be in the Superman VS. Lex Luthor set, you know, to give him backup. Not that Mister Perfect would need any. (Yes, I'm not a Supes fan either.) As for Green Lantern... No idea. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

  14. According to this blog there will be a new theme next year that sounds very similar to Dino 2010/Attack. UPDATE: Set names & US prices: Discuss!
  15. Go for it. And while you're at it, you might wanna include the following rumored set list from this website.
  16. Well, according to the rumors on this blog, the figures in this theme will be the same size as minifigs, which is believable judging from the pics we have seen if you ask me, so the sets should be compatible with City.
  17. What makes you say that?
  18. 19. I understand. But now that you have them roughly done, you might wanna try to improve their shape a bit. If you want to. By all means, please do! MOCs are meant to be shared, especially such rare ones such as Avatar MOCs! If you don't want to make a new thread for each one of them, just make one thread titled "Runamuck's Avatar MOCs" and post all of them under the same topic. And don't worry, your MOCs are pretty good.
  20. Interesting list, thanks! Although it doesn't tell us much what the sets actually are. If the set number sequence is any indication of the set sizes, it seems that the Batcave could indeed just be a set in the $15-20 range.
  21. That's another thing I was shocked about; that you initially didn't notice your absence from the minifig list. It's sad indeed, but let's be honest, could TLG do any better than last time? No, because it was said numerous times that the DC sets are the January wave and the Marvel ones the summer wave. Try to keep up!
  22. So, when do we find out "what is coming soon?"
  23. Do you guys think Iron Man's chest plate attaches to his bones the same way as the HF ones?
  24. Nice! Your custom figs are pretty good, as usual, and the rhinos aren't bad either, just a bit blocky, but oh well. Also, I think they should be a darker color. The same goes for the ostrich horse. The scenes you set up for them are nice as well, especially the one with Sokka. I just wish you would have photographed them at a lower angle. Do you have the PoP ostriches? It would be perfect if you could take the body of one of those and build a fitting head for it!
  25. Shouldn't this be in the "What should I buy" thread? Anyway, I can recommend the City of Atlantis! It has a good price per piece ratio and lots of interesting pieces which you can't get anywhere else, most notably the grooved round bricks, not to mention the cool minifigs! If you're looking for 4-wide vehicles and parts for buildings, I can recommend Flo's V8 Cafe. It has 6 4-wide cars which can be easily converted to fit minifigs or parted out to create your own vehicles, and a gas station.
