  1. Wow, this series is excellent! There's not a single fig I wouldn't want, except maybe the Flamenco dancer. The legionary looks beautiful (although the helmet could have been a tad better IMO) and that toy robot is a very pleasant surprise! If my eyes do not deceive me, he seems to have a wind-up key on his back! I really hope that that's a separate piece and not molded onto the neck piece as it would be very useful for MOCs! We can't thank you enough for these pics, Bane! Keep 'em coming!
  2. We already knew from the first rumors that the dinos wouldn't be brick-built, so I don't see why that would be a surprise to anyone. It looks CGI, but the lack of teeth makes me question if it's not one of the figures. Again, we knew that it was called that from the start. Did anyone bother to read the first post?
  3. Wow, what a brilliant idea for a contest! Very original. I do have some questions though: How far are we allowed to deviate from the design of the set we have chosen? Can it be completely redesigned as long as it still resembles the set? Can we add digital backgrounds and effects (such as bubbles) to our pictures? What do you mean by "one entry per category"? Are there different categories?
  4. Nice one, Masked! Even though you're missing an "O". And thanks for all the compliments everyone! I'm flattered.
  5. Wow, that's a tough question. Hm... I'd have to say a set consisting of lots of small scenes from every major Disney movie made to date, including all PIXAR movies, with minifigs of at least four of the main characters from each movie. Would be expensive as heck, but it would be (to put it in Disney terms) simply magical! Alternately, it would be awesome to see a life-size humanoid Mindstorms robot with as many motors, sensors, and processors as possible. I wouldn't buy it, but it would be amazing nonetheless. This made my day!
  6. Well, they have already been doing that with the Senate Guards (despite TLG's false depiction of them as clones), but I know what you mean.
  7. Yeah, I think the point of this superpack is to get most of the main Cars characters in one buy. In fact, I was planning to buy these three sets just for that reason, and I did buy the first two, but then decided that I want a normal version of Finn, so I skipped on the Escape at Sea. How does that not make sense? They could be time-traveling space spies, couldn't they?
  8. In the underwater world, Oky is a proud protector of the City of Atlantis! I was considering to just switch my Space Ranger suit to a diver's suit, but this seemed way cooler and more original!
  9. Is it getting wet in here, or is it just me? Interesting choice for a theme month, and a nice way to say goodbye to the Atlantis theme. It's also a refreshing change from the hot weather we're having over here in California right now. Like everyone else, I am curious to see what you have in store for us this month! I hope my space ranger suit is waterproof...
  10. Simple: It's a fun movie about colorful racecars! Speaking of racecars... I watched PotC 4 recently and there was one thing in paricular that I noticed...

    Star Wars

Uhm, isn't Solo part of Star Wars? By your definition, you're not a real SW fan if that's how you feel. Seriously, if being a SW fan means having to like everything that's being thrown at you, I don't think I want to be one. Back on the topic of the Blu-Ray changes, I don't get all the fuss either. Vader's line doesn't sound half as bad as it did in RotS and actually sort of fits. And who cares if there are more rocks in the shot with R2? The changes are pretty minor, so if George wants it that way, I say let him.
  12. Thanks. I wish I had the DS for some of my funnies too, such as the Royal Guards one. Oh well.
  13. Are you saying I wasn't good at them before? Have you ever wondered how Yoda learned to talk backwards?
  14. That's a good point, I suppose. I remember an episode where Spongebob and Patrick run around Bikini Bottom, trying to help the FD to scare people, so it's definitely a possibility that the set could just be a random little BB scene with fish people for them to scare. But on the other hand, would TLG really name a set after the character it includes?
  15. From FBTB:
  16. Yeah, you're probably right about the FD. There's no doubt in my mind that it will be a jumiorized, cartoony, and underscaled set. Still, I'm hoping for a few GITD pieces. As for new figs in the Part set, a new Krabbs along with Pearl would indeed be nice to see, especially if they use the crab claws from the Atlantis sets. I'd also love to see Larry the Lobster. Either way, I probably wont get the set though.
  17. It's kind of relieving to see such a discussion here as I have been struggling with this concern for a while now. I must admit that I have indeed fallen victim to this phenomenon. I use my hobby to escape the real world more often than I would like to, but I can't help it somehow. It hasn't gotten real bad - I do have some friends and I have never driven myself into debt by buying too much Lego - but I feel that I don't have as much of a social life than I should have. It's quite disconcerting, but knowing that I'm aware of my "problem" and that I am not the only one who feels that way is good. I think as long as you are aware of it, you can at least keep yourself under control to some extend, so it wont get out of hand. And yes, I agree that this could be said about pretty much any hobby or obsession.
  18. Well, there is also Wreck-it Ralph, a movie about a videogame character produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, but I think Brave would be much more likely to be made into Lego as it mostly features humans and will probably be more popular since it's made by Pixar. How do you know the current Cars sets are discontinued? That seems strange to me as some of the sets, Big Bentley and the spy plane, were just released over here.
  19. As I already said on the last page, these Cars sets are only the January wave. If there are to be Brave sets, they'd be a summer release, so there's still hope.
  20. I'm pretty sure they're not glued as they're not pre-assembled. At least last year's weren't.
  21. When I went to the Lego Store a few days ago, they had a booster pack for Creationary which included 20 new category cards and about 8 parts in lime green and orange. Mostly just tiles and slopes, nothing special. I'll try to get a picture next time.
  22. Bwahaha! Looks like you're on a roll, Skrytsson! Those are all great! My favorite would have to be number 8. And I really think you're on to something with #4. Mace, Yoda, Obi, Anakin... All the powerful force-users have huge eyes. The only exception to the rule maybe is Ahsoka. Keep it up! I got a few new ideas myself, so enjoy! The first one shows how the empire acquired the second Death Star. The next one was suggested to me by member Ritz Brick, so credit for the idea goes to him/her. And just for the heck of it, here's an Antisoka joke.
  23. WTF? That looks nothing like me. Nice work again, Penguin! I was hoping you (or somebody else) would use that S5 bowler to make a Riddler, and you did an excellent job at it. Those riot troops are pretty darn cool too! Nice to see you back at work again and I hope it doesn't end here!
