  1. Not keen on having a Slave 1! We've waited so long for a new Cloud City, every part should be dedicated to the structure itself. I know why they'd include one (carbon Han loading scene), but I don't want it. Damn... this bit of info makes me really start to believe this rumor is true. Would much rather have a mini fleet of Bespin cloud cars. Two at the minimum! "I'd say a cross between #10188 and #10123." This sounds fine. Should be an adequate number of film-accurate rooms, if true, to make the playset satisfying.
  2. And.... Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix!
  3. The leaked pic states the "item is valued at appoximately $4.99 USD and $6.99 CA retail value." Would they include such information on the bag so that it can be sold in stores after the promotional freebie at that price?
  4. Agreed, there are some anachronistic surprises, too. Didn't they have the Death Star I on some The Force Awakens Lego packaging a few years ago?? (slide whistle goes down) Well it feels good after this long day to check in on Eurobricks to find out I was right about something in February! Thanks, Lego-Freak. It was a reference to Medusa and/or her three sisters, from Greek mythology (Gorgon being Lego's code name).
  5. Yeah, there are some anachronistic surprises, too. Didn't they have the Death Star I on some The Force Awakens Lego packaging a few years ago?? Good times, belly laughs all around. (slide whistle goes down) Not sure if we've discussed any video reviews of Kessel Run Falcon here... this one is from YouTube's SquirrelStampede. I was planning on only getting the figs but looking at this kit with the brand new, white Falcon bricks and sweet landing gear... the pod in the front can hold minis.... kind of a beaut. Might take the arches out. This is looking more and more like a must buy kit. Just wish it was as big (long) as the previous OT era Falcons.
  6. Another enthusiastic vote of support for the scale of this MOC... wow!! I can't bring myself to buy 75179 just because of that domineering scale. Now I need to build something like you've got here, Kevin Yoo, great work. Especially the trans red bricks and slopes of the cockpit.
  7. The goal here was to build a MC80 flagship for my Rebel fleet that was: a) As closely to scale as possible with 6211 Star Destroyer. b) Larger (longer) than any of my other Rebel capital ships i.e. Phoenix Home or Tantive IV. The result is below, a build I will continue to preen and cycle out better parts/colors for. I think there should be a smattering of more small orange pieces. I am more concerned with how it looks on the shelf now than with any screen accurate considerations. But it does scale very nicely with the Star Destroyer so far (pic to come). The engines are a little... large. Truth is, those blue minifig stands for Lego Dimensions are way more useful to me in a build like this. I will likely shrink the main rear engines somehow but I also need to figure out how to add the other dual engine pods on either side behind each large shuttlebay. There isn't any inside space, but I do display it with my A Wings, B Wings and next to the bridge part of 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser so it looks good with lots of Rebels hanging out in front of it. Would like to hear any suggestions builders may have on improving it. I was only using my spare parts for this so I could certainly invest in some better components for it someday. Thanks for looking.
  8. Would such a piece have.... printed elements?
  9. This is a lot tighter than the official release, 7674-1. Great use of pieces and I admire the smaller scale. The use of red parts is excellent and it looks very sturdy to stand up with the fin extended. As a starfighter, V-19 > Z-95 for sure. I've built a couple of these at about half your scale, no where as beautiful as this but I was hoping to make a swarm of them someday.
  10. Not sure if connected to rumors of cancellation, but this is what my Google result showed today for "Lego drop" Lego's sales drop for the first time in 13 years CNNMoney 1 day ago Lego posts first annual sales, profit drop since 2004 Financial Times 1 day ago Lego reports first sales fall in 13 years, saying 'there is no quick fix' The Guardian 1 day ago Personally I don''t see this as a sky-is-falling moment yet as AFOL's but you have to wonder - didn't Lego account for any sales drop-off as they have been cranking prices upward? Isn't that part of Marketing 101? If sales of kits have't kept apace there must be an underlying reason. It certainly isn't the quality of the sets or the bricks themselves - I've been collecting for decades and it's better than ever. I guess we should start expecting to see smaller numbers of kits in waves for Star Wars Lego as time goes on.... and that's not really a bad thing. Our wallets will breathe a little easier.
  11. The set Ahsoka and Vader were in (75150) was very pricey, the least TLG could do is give us a mini-set someday, or the typical segment-of-a-full-playset like the carbonite chamber. This weekend I mined my spare bricks for more black pieces. I want to reform the base so that it resembles the shape of the temple more and make space to increase the size of the top area. It needs about 200% more bricks. Can you believe it's ending tonight? Although we didn't get much in the way of official Rebels themed kits in the past 4 years, I look forward to seeing Rebels MOCs for years to come. Maybe I don't need to focus on the lower part of the temple so much? I can leave 5 studs worth of lower, black temple and focus on the main dueling area with the obelisk. It would be nice to have a large, open space for Vader and Ahsoka's duel. And your idea of a battle damaged helmet is brilliant, if TLG does Malachor they HAVE to include it! Thank you for the feedback guys, it inspires me to push this project further.
  12. From Twilight of the Apprentice: Here's a *mini* playset inspired by the climatic duel at the Sith Temple on Malachor - only Vader and Ahsoka's part of the duel for this one. No Inquisitors or moving platforms. I only used spare bits and scraps from my depleted brick stock, so that's why the build is kinda small and not really accurate with the real exterior form of the temple. If I get more black slopes for the base I can probably finish it someday. For now, it gets a great Star Wars location represented on the shelf. The SW Rebels shelf: sadly lacking in location playsets. Sorry for the quality of these snaps, my lightbox is in the shop. ;) So we've got part of the base of the temple leading to the tip of the top where there is a bit of Tron-style redness. A couple of ground features: a rectangular slab and one of those petrified black figures. Would look nice with three or four more similar features surrounding the temple. The tip of the temple lifts off revealing a very small play area, only enough to fit (cram) Vader and Ahsoka in there. There's a little Sith holocron attached to a 2x2 plate with stud in the very middle. It's a free build. I wanted to keep the color scheme limited to match the temple from the episode. Just black, dark red and red with trans-red. I used a bit of purple for the ceiling of the top of the temple... in the episode there's this awesome purple glow that coats the room when the obelisk starts sparking up during the duel. However I'm not satisfied with the application of the trans-red features here and will be trying to re-jig those over time. Maybe there should be more grills and they should be placed in rows for maximum Sith-Tron effect. Maybe someday we will see a really intricate and huge MOC based on this temple with all the trap and stuff with Maul, moving platforms, etc. For now I just wanted a space to display Vader and Ahsoka together from (A-Wing vs Vader's TIE) together. I also really wanted to place the obelisk (which speaks to Ezra and Kanan) but it just wouldn't fit at this reduced scale. I did manage to get the Sith holocron in there, something for Ezra to take. TLG has poisoned me into adding the obligatory play features! Feedback of any kind for this little build is encouraged, but I've even more stoked to see someone else take a stab at this scene/playset. Since Rebels is ending Monday, now is a great time to pay tribute to a series that gave us some great new Star Wars builds to play with.
  13. Yeah, agreed. The Ghost came out months before Rebels even premiered. It was the summer 2014 wave. Spark of Rebellion (Rebels premiere) aired early October of that year. Only the most hardcore of SW Lego fans would have bought The Ghost then. I do believe eventually they will sell an updated Ghost. Smaller, more features/figures and higher priced, no doubt. We don't yet have the name of the Master Shredder lookin' dude from the Solo trailer yet? It would be great to see him(her?) in a set.
  14. Are we absolutely certain that #75219 is reserved for Star Wars? Because I would believe a Stranger Things Lego set is possible, a la Dr. Who or Big Bang Theory. EDIT: Just realized Stranger Things has a demigorgon, not gorgon. ;) Anyway, here's what Gorgon means if anyone else would like to join me in over-analyzing it, it sounds like it may be a female villain: Gor·gon ˈɡôrɡən/ noun GREEK MYTHOLOGY each of three sisters, Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa, with snakes for hair, who had the power to turn anyone who looked at them to stone. a fierce, frightening, or repulsive woman.
  15. Agreed on the odd name, however maybe it's to disambiguate between itself and the original Cloud City 10123 which came out 15 years ago (also the semi-recent Carbon Freeing Chamber). With the name, Bespin City it's easier to imagine a large scale kit like Ninjago City with heaps of rooms/features. Let's hope that it leans more towards Ewok Village and less towards Assault on Hoth in terms of quality and execution of the build. It's exciting to think about the possibilities but I've been waiting for this release so long that I'm jaded. I'm not going to believe Bespin City even exists until we see prelims, however far off that is. On the other hand, if TLG wasn't going to do a complete and inclusive large scale Cloud City, then why didn't we get smaller kits like Luke vs Vader on the wind vane as a follow-up to the Carbon Freezing Chamber? It's arguably the single most important scene in all of Star Wars, ever. There are genuinely arguments for and against getting this release in 2018, but Lego must be tired of listening to us ask for a new Cloud City. *Luke, I am your father* takes place on that wind vane. Just checked the video as suggested and it's not just wishful thinking, it sure does look like Hasan is saying Bespin. He also gestures and makes a "dome" shape with his hands. He does it twice. Interesting they framed him with a "city" behind him! "So we really wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for everyone." ;)
  16. That description would serve to fit hachiroku24's excellent transport moc (and we would be very lucky if TLG took a chance on a build like this, but I highly doubt it):
  17. Has anyone seen the inside of Yoda's hut yet??? It would be nice to know if it's "complete" or if you need to buy two of them to make it enclosed. Looks like maybe a table and a bed can be seen in the perspectives shown on the front of the box. There's smoke coming out of the top but unknown if there is a fire/pot of rootleaf stew on the stove. Previously, the X-Wing Fighter (Dagobah) 4502-1 came with a saucepan. "Rootleaf stew was a favorite meal of Jedi Master Yoda during his exile on Dagobah. It was a staple of his diet, supplemented by yarum seeds, mushroom spores, galla seeds, and sohli bark. Yoda prepared rootleaf stew the evening that he met Luke Skywalker."
  18. Oh!! R2 is all Dagobah-dirty with mud up his front panel printing. That is adorbable! That's very different. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
  19. Don't get too excited yet. Most of the Lego Cloud City rumors I'm seeing online lately are coming from us, on this forum... CONFIDENTIAL_DTC CC – LEGO® 75222 may be giving us false hope. I hope I'm wrong about all this... I want a new C(loud) C(ity) as much as the next AFOL. Really, CC could mean anything. We could be getting a 2000-piece bust of clone trooper Commander Cody for all we know... http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CC-2224 Been following what passes for Solo film spoilers on a daily basis and .
  20. You know mariopower_56 on Instagram? I would avoid the images he posts entirely. ;) Just saw the advent calendar and Anakin's Jedi starfighter, too. Good hunting.
  21. The sandcrawler image is out there. Try poking around Instagram as it was posted less than an hour ago. It looks EXCELLENT!!! Between $50-100USD would be my guess. As for height, looks maybe x4 the height of one minifig. Taking a wild guess with the stud length overall: 50? There is a loading ramp that comes down. That looks like 4 studs at the top, 6 at the bottom. Won't be the most spacious of sandcrawlers. Luke, maybe 3 jawas included. So blurry it's hard to make out. Some droids of course. The Last Jedi packaging and a dark blue sky in the background. An array of 1x2 yellow slope pieces make up the "cockpit/bridge" I love this! It's a Christmas miracle. This is a first day purchase and I commend TLG for doing something so iconic at a smaller scale.
  22. System scale jawa sandcrawler? [Emperor]Gooooooood. Goooooooooood![/Emperor] This is something I've felt we've needed forever - a Sandcrawler that's at a reasonable price point and isn't oversized. Wonder if they will be using plates for the sloped areas like the most recent crawler or using bricks like the first crawler. Can't wait for us to uncover an image for that one. Wondering now if that X-Wing will have any connection to the Yoda's hut kit coming out in the same wave?
  23. Yep. In that exaggerated way that suggests she is very female in the anatomy category. The leak also on the Subreddit that is leaky in a particularly Star Wars way.
  24. Wow, she looks fantastic!! How incredible to see actual real Lego of the next Star Wars film coming out. Description: the legs are black, the torso mustard color and typically hyper-sexualized, some sort of close fitting uniform with a rectangular flap draped below the chin. Dotted lines up the sides of the torso. The face and hairpiece look like a dead ringer for Patti (2016 Lady Ghostbusters) except this one has dark lipstick.
  25. As long as it's not the SDCC 2018 exclusive, I'm fine with that. The same actor, BDT was in 2014 as Marvel's The Collector. What are the odds he would end up being 2 exclusives? Were R3-M2 and Scarif Trooper reasonably easy to acquire at a retail level?
