Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Sorry, but for me it's the worst Modular in a long time. The pillars of the entrance portal look strange. Would have been better to have a balcony in the first floor between them. The color is just -

I would like to get a medium grey between DBG and LBG, as the difference between these two is quite big. -
As someone from northern Germany i strongly condem those Bavarian, or should i say barbarian, traditions from the south! There is so much going on in your build! I like that we get a peak at the salt mine and the waterfall has a very nice sparkle in the last render. There are some very nice details like the rowing boat, the crane and coach. And of course there is the factory, which will add a lot of value to the settlement of Punto Sur!

Very nice scene with the raging waters! I see you use the new custom under hat hair pieces

Lego should bring back Wild West

I still want to think that it should be possiblee to depict Native Americans in a sensible way, like Lego depicts vikings or the traditional Chinese New Year, just to name a few. At least we got a Hovitos warrior in the Indiana Jones Golden Idol set. Maybe Lego fears that children would play "Cowboys vs Indians" and that's the reason why they shy away from the whole theme. I think there is so much to discover and so many adventures to experience in a Lego Western theme, even if Lego wants to skip Native Americans and the US Army. Some fine creations but some of the prices are insane! 600$+ -
Was Armada the first theme that brought us the conquistador helmet? I had only one of these helmets as a kid and still have it today (one of the very few pieces i kept from my childhood Lego).

The window is one piece, but it is not connected to the rest of the house. There is one brick with stud on the side in each row that holds a 1x6 tile. The top of the window and wall are exposed but covered by the roof. For the roof, and are interchangeable because the curvature is the same. I really like the blue torso, second from left, in your first picture! I am browsing PAB very very often but it is hard to find good torsos. And when it comes to Ninjago, well, i guess i am too picky when it comes to torsos -

More Interchangeable Under Hat Hair Pieces

And he sports a nice moustache too -
I really like the Hobbit torsos from the Rivendell set. They make formidable civilians of the pirates era. Figures of this quality i'd like to see in future pirates sets. Though my only hope is a new POTC movie before the year 2030 Pippin's torso (the one with the scarf) was up at PAB and i ordered two.

I would never pay more than 5€ for a minifg because no minifig is worth more than this. Maybe in a weak moment i'd pay 5,50€, but that's it I also don't want to support scalpers and resellers by principle. On the other hand i know Lego will never (again) make the sets i want, 15€-100€ POTC and LOTR sets (to part them out and for the minifigs). As i have said before, my dark ages were very dark and very long and really the only thing i am a little bit sad about, is that i missed the POTC sets.

Good question I guess it can be asked for a lot of the stuff high ranked officers and nobles carried with them back in the day
-
I can be very picky when it comes to minifigs, so for example the nutcracker's torso from the 71034 CMF is a tad to simple for my liking I prefer Minifigs in the style and quality of POTC or LOTR. On the other hand i am too lazy to sign up at bricklink but i guess have to do it eventually. My biggest hope is that more of the Rivendell torsos will show up at PAB, but most likely it is one of those mysterious cases where only one torso shows up (Pippin's). But, yeah, it's great fun to put those little torsos and legs, heads and hats together and create new characters!
