  1. That's ingenius! So good, i have no words. The king's head, the crown, the chainmail, love it
  2. Well, then there are still a truckload of possibilities. When you take away the small rocky islands and rafts and small sets in general, Lego has covered only a very small portion of the caribbean setting. Basically all businesses and artisans that a pirate town needs, that every town needs, were neglected by Lego. So you could start there. When i browse through the Pirates sets, there are only jails, warehouses and cranes, a tavern (Lagoon Lock-Up) and fortresses that were made by Lego. POTC had a ruined mill and that Captain's Daughter building (Is it a tavern?). But of course it all depends on ones preferences. POBB is more of a fantasy location. So first you have to decide in which direction you want to go. If you want to keep the POBB style, then add another island! Build the water and sand, palm trees and stuff like that in the same manner as POBB and then decide what could be the new islands purpose.
  3. That's a fun one! I love the figurehead and tail
  4. The shoulder strap thingy looks like how i imagine Lego would do it though.
  5. Impressive layout! There is so much to explore and discover! Some of my favorite scenes are the dwarfs enjoying popsicles, the giant illuminated crystels in the cave and the rock with the skull next to the waterfall. And i never knew there is a Lego bagpipe?! Also some interesting behind the scenes info
  6. I guess the best solution to store lego pest and water proof for a long time is to use large plastic boxes and fill them with Lego sets, throw some desiccant silica gel packs in and then seal the plastic box. It's even possible to glue the box and lid together so nothing ever gets in (or out).
  7. Yes of course. But to me it looks like the person took some inspiration from SleeplessNight's Sabe Island. That's not a bad thing! Inspiring each other is a big and valuable part of the hobby imo. Like picking up a technique, maybe modify it and inspire other people until nobody knows who invented that one technique 15 years ago
  8. That's actually very interesting. People would light fake lighthouses aka lanterns and lure ships into shallow waters and onto cliffs or beaches and then "plunder what the sea would present them". But i guess in terms of Lego the story would be greater than the build Generally i think that North African (Barbary Coast) and East Asian pirates are a very much neglected topics, but very interesting ones. And a fine xebec or junk is something we do not see very often in Lego form.
  9. Very nice! I also really like Edna Mode's fashion shop! And since i read the word(s) 'ice cream' i'm looking forward to learn more about that house in the future too
  10. Yeah, i think it took some inspiration from SleeplessNight's version of Sabre Island, which is kind of the benchmark.
  11. I really like the interior! The desk and cabinet, the ship in the bottle, the scale! The armchair and cat, the fireplace! Great story too.
  12. I think we only got the 212th and 501st clones with the magazines so far. But another clone in a 2024 magazine seems inevitable imo.
  13. Wonderful tower! The white and yellow color combination never gets old and the yellow really pops! I like the lightsaber hilt railing at the top of the tower and the ornaments around the windows. And there's even an sneaky band of pirates I only wish the bown docks and ground would be tiled.
  14. I agree with you! It will also be the 4th Mandalorian we get with the magazines in like 2 years or so. There was the green one from the battlepack, the Mandalorian Loyalist, Bo Katan and now the Fleet Commander. I'm pretty sure we'll get a clone with the magazines next year! Although i feel some oversaturation (same as with Manods), they are perfect for magazines, like Mandalorians or Stormtoopers.
  15. The Lego SW Magazin that will release on 29 December will come with the Mandalorian Fleet Commander. The figure will be called Mandalorian Pilot in the magazine (at least in the preview of the upcomming issue). So when i was speculating some months ago that the Fleet Commander is one of the figures that Lego is likely to put into a magazine i was right
  16. It's this one from the Daily Bugle. It is brand new and not damaged. Maybe after some time it will wear down a little bit. (It's one of my favorite hair pieces and when i saw it available in red at PAB i had to order it!). 6343473 It's not the first time a minifig part fits very tight. It happens rarely, but i also had a arm that is almost impossible to rotate or a head that is almost impossible to turn. All my Lego is brand new and bought in the past few years. Of course i also had bricks with discolorations. One was very striking, it was almost as if there were two shades of tan. One was a little bit more olive. I only saw it when i build a tan ground for a moc and all the plates were next to each other.
  17. Yeah, the cockpit looks really good!
  18. Welcome to the party! Great to have you aboard!
  19. I am looking forward to learn more about the other trade companies that have an office in Fort Arltrees! As an latecomer it's hard to catch up with all the lore that has been established over years. Oh yes, that certainly fits the Brick Gothic aesthetics one would expect from an Essian style building. Maybe one day you'll finish it.
  20. Or you simply forgot the bad experiences with Lego you had Just today i received my latest PAB order. I ordered a hairpiece and it sits so tight on the heads, if i want to pull the hair piece off it takes the head with it. So i have to press the head against the neck at an angle so it does not come off together with the hair piece.
  21. One thing that could spice up the game would be different climate zones in conjunction with different architecture styles. For example: northern climate zone with New England/French architecture desert climate zone with North African/Arabic architecture (Barbary Coast pirates) tropical/Caribbean climate zone with Spanish/Portuguese architecture tropical/South East Asia or humid/subtropical (Southeast China) climate zones with East Asian and Southeast Asian architecture
  22. Do you mean something that has not been done as a set or a moc before?
  23. So i was going through the excellent lore you had created for the City of Essen I can relate to all of this and see the city and it's troops emerge before my inner eye. For Jägers you could add that in combat they were operating in loose formation, using the terrain to their advantage. And Hilftruppen should be Hilfstruppen.
