  1. Great Mandalorian character! Welcome to MYSTERIES @Brickuser24
  2. Very cute! Very much fun! Love it!
  3. Impressive army! I still have zero bluecoats but plan to buy 2 each of the soldier and governor torsos from PAB when i make a new order. Have to see how they look in person before i order more.
  4. Hey @MKJoshA I don't remember if i filled out the submission form for my entry. Should i do it now/again? Could you take a look please?
  5. Oh yes, he looks great!
  6. I voted for 'Slopes curved (Eldorado)' and 'detailed plates' because they allow for a detailed and elaborate coast line. What also would be interesting to know, aree peoples preferences when it comes to the water building techniques as this goes hand in hand with the islands. There's some variety from loose trans blue studs, to blue/azure plates, trans blue tiles etc.... If someone is interested to build some examples for a future poll...
  7. Oh, and conclusion is: Pirates is cool, Pirates is fun and Pirates is interesting for kids! This again shows, like all the other GWPs, Legoland and Legohouse sets, easter eggs etc, that LEGO has not forgotten about pirates!
  8. Nice to meet you @Gkaiser100 Welcome to the forum Inspiring story you have there! Looking forward to learn more about your Norwesia layout!
  9. There's a new trailer for a Fortnite 'Lego Raft Survival' game where they player has to survive on his raft while being shot at by the Barracuda: Video by Stonewars (I'll post this here because i don't want to open a new thread just for this news )
  10. A fine ship! Great to see a ship with leeboards (We once spent a vacation week sailing on a leeboard ship. No Bermuda Sloop though )! As for the color of the leeboards, i think black looks fine but red would make them more visible and distinctive. And as i have said in the other thread - i love your crew
  11. Yes, they were playsets marketed towards children in the past and now they are big 18+ playsets marketed for adults. But i - as an adult - would prefer something (LKC; Eldorado; Town Square) that looks more mature and not like a big playset. Just my personal opinion But i guess there's a hugh bias on my side because i looked at a thousand fantastic mocs and a LEGO set can never match them for various reasons and limitations.
  12. You got me wrong. I think both sets are first and foremost aimed at adults! But my impression is that the Blacksmith looks much more mature than the Lion Knight's Castle. So when judging the overall look, the LKC looks like a big playet, impressive in size, yes, but it's not something i personaly would like to see from a set marketed for adults. I feel ya! I was born 1983 and also never got the sets my parents deemed as beeing too expensive. The first thing i did when my dark ages ended in ~2019 was to buy a Lego train, which i never got as a kid.
  13. Which island type do you like the most? This question was raised by @LetsBrick And since we're in the Pirates forum we have to make a poll about it! Which one of the building techniques do you like the most when it comes to islands in Lego sets and mocs? Or do you like more than one technique? Pick your favorites in this multiple choice poll! Shout out to @LetsBrick for providing the pictures. Thank ye Vintage - Bricks Classic - Printed Baseplate Simple Plates - Tan Plates Slopes - Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) Slopes Curved - Eldorado Fortress (10320) Slopes Curved with Dark Azure - Friends Beach Amusement Park (41737) Detailed Plates - Tan and Dark Tan Plates Tiles - Tan and Dark Tan Plates Tiles and Plates - Multiple layers of plates and tiles
  14. I get the impression only by looking at the facades and exterior (personaly i am not much interested in any interior because i won't see it anyway). For example the timbering looks much more elaborate in the Blacksmith than in LKC.
  15. Makes me wonder: Is the Lion Knight's Castle a 18+ castle by design philosophy or only by size and price tag? The Medieval Blacksmith looks much more like a set for adults than the LKC to me. The LKC looks more like a big playset, like Eldorado or Medieval Town Square.
  16. Looking forward to see your mocs If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
  17. This Lagoon Lock-Up/Soldiers’ Tavern Remake is hands down the best thing i ever saw on the forum. I often come back to this thread and watch the pictures Seeing it build in real life @iragm makes it even better!
  18. Nice to meet you Bob! Welcome to the forum! If you want to share your mocs you have to host the pictures at a image hosting site, like imgur, flickr, brickshelf or basically any site where you can upload your pictures. Then you create a new thread in the fitting subforum (for example, for a spaceship this would be the LEGO Sci-Fi subforum) and add the links to the pictures to your opening post.
  19. Yeah, that looks great!
  20. These look great! Red Sonja and the Captain are my favorites!
  21. Wow, just wow Truely a titanic work that brought us so many amazing and detailed mocs! Looking forward to your future projects!
  22. I like the pictures. They are very atmospheric and capture the magnificent build well!
