LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
When moulds are as expensive to create as reported, why would you destroy a mould that is still perfectly fine for production? I never understood this. But i don't know where the information comes from that says moulds get destroyed after 5 years when not used. -

When was the mould used the last time? 2013? People in this forum claimed that moulds get destroyed when not used for 5 years -
The build is good though. The upper deck and interior look great! The designers did a great job shaping the hull, though overall the hull is maybe a bit boring, as they only have tiles and grills to add detail. Jabba's henchmen look good and i don't mind Leia's legs/print very much. Yep, I mostly agree The lightsaber GWP though, consists of only 145 standard parts. The Sarlacc Pit on the other hand is a fleshed out set with minifigs, worth much more than the lightsaber.

I'm Fitz, and I use Lego minifigs for a Batman-themed RPG
Yperio_Bricks replied to Fitz10024's topic in Hello! My name is...
Very interesting! Thanks for the explanation We have several RPGs running in the forum. Pirates, Castle and Star Wars (and Military, which is currently on hold i think). Maybe you want to check them out. Although a hugh part of the RPGs, next to telling stories, is building mocs. -
Haha ok, i see. Polls are fun though. All things considered I weighted the Khetanna in at a good 7. Three points deduction for Price Number of minifigs Lego basically forces people to buy another set, the Sarlacc Pit, to complete the scene.

I guess everyone has seen the pictures of the UCS Khetanna by now and i thought i would be fun to create a poll and ask people to rate the Khetanna out of ten and also ask if you guys plan to buy it on day one, later or not at all. Find the poll in this thread: -
Judging the pictures, how do you rate the 75397 Khetanna out of 10? Do you plan to buy it? Tell us in the comments!

Welcome to the forum @Fitz10024 The RPG you play with your sons sounds like a big fun! Do you also use Lego to build some kind of backdrop? -

Sorry, but from a customer point of view this is so wrong in many ways. The best one can do is to wait half a year or longer and buy with a good discount. That applies to all sets, not only UCS. I decided to not buy the Peridea set. In my eyes it is the worst LSW set ever. It's ridiculously overpriced. And while the other minifigs are nice to have, the only real incentive to buy the set is Thrawn. Nope, I am not getting the set. -

Because people will buy the set anyway. -
Great continuation of the stroy and i am happy Rox and the cavalry arrived in the right moment and everything comes together. I love the tank! I imagine it could be in a battle pack with a driver, two riot control stormtroopers and an officer. It's great to see the people of Shag City joining the fight against the oppressors! The Ugnaught with the rocket launcher And I like how the Sullustan head fits together with fleet trooper torso. Looks quite good.

Wouldn't that contradict the attempt to keep contest related stuff seperated from the regular forums?
-
What i wanted to say is that a random forum user only visits his favorite forum (Licensed, Technic, etc.) but will most likely never klick on a subforum (Watto's Junkyard, BOTBS, etc.) from an other theme. It's just my observation, but of course I could be wrong. In times of social media people are too lazy to make that one more klick Personally i would still prefer a contest subforum, so everything is in proper order.

The number of LSW sets in January is 6. As per fateful_lego. -
Thank you very much Thank you! I was unsure about the jungle on the top of the rocks, but it turned out well and i really liked to look at the moc (for the few days it lasted ) It was a great fun to contribute a tiny little part to your story. We definitely have to plot a bigger collab in the future!

I am also a fan of subforums for contests, like Watto's Junkyard that is used for Star Wars contests. So everything contest related can easily be found in one place and does not interfer with the every day forum business. BUT, from my observation, there is a hugh disadvantage when it comes to subforums. Most forum users visit theit favorite forums only and will never ever klick on a subforum (from an other theme). For example, all the RPGs suffer because of this.

Haha, love the jokes and humor What a great build this is. There is so much going on, so many details to discover. It's such a rich and diverse street scene! I just want to mention some details that caught my eye: The Mona Cala temple and fountain of course, the workshop, all the greebling and the acktion-packed fight scenes. Also nice O.K. Corral reference. I love the Aetwelt and Shag City world building and I am happy I got the chance to be a tiny little part of this

Another great minifig! Never thought the jazz singer's dress would fit a warrior, but here we go And the dress matches the shields perfectly. Great job all around! -

Speaking about the colors. It's hard to imagine how the final result will look, but i imagine red maybe is too bright and black maybe will dominate the other colors.- 315 replies
