EDIT: I see the question was already answered
-
I also think there will be no baseplate. I guess they'd use the style of the Barracuda Bay with the big curved slopes and slopes for the beaches and medium azure plates for the ocean. Then add some Ideas Lighthouse rockwork and voilà, the brickbuild base is finished 215$ / 215€ sounds good By principle i don't buy sets for more than 100€ but for Eldorado fortress at 215€ i would make an exception. I am happy that the rumored price is not 400€ or 500€ like in other themes.

Congrats everyone!

Wonderful moc! The (reduced) color palette really makes the pink flowers pop. There are many great details one can discover. Like the dovecote on the roof, the cozy balconies, the door and window frames, the interior and the minifigs.

I simply put all boxes and instructions into the recycling containers. Paper is a resource after all
-
No matter the box art, i will rip the box open asap

That's what i am doing haha None of this year's Lego Star Wars sets is interesting for me and i'll skip them all. So far the only set i plan to buy this year is the 40€ Indy temple x2. But of course...if the Eldorado Fortress turns out to be true, i know what i'm gonna buy

Stonewars themselves do not leak stuff, but they are well established and connected in the (german) AFOL scene and from my observation they would not jump on unsubstantial rumors.
-
Now Stonewars reports the Eldorado Fortress rumor. Makes me think that there is some truth behind it
-
I think so too. I also think that they would not bring back the raised baseplates of the past. Maybe they could do some brickbuild cliffs like they did for the 21335 lighthouse. Although that would eat up a considerable amount of the 2500 pieces.

That's some great news I am happy that Eldorado Fortress is the rumored set and will definitely pick up more than one of it turns out to be true. Still, i'll try to tame my emotions until the set is confirmed by more sources/leakers/blogs...

Fun video

It's a cute little set, but as it was said before, it adds nothing to LEGO pirates as a theme. But at least it shows again, like the Disney celebration train and other stuff, that they have not forgotten about Pirates. Hope is alive!

The portrait is "A Young Woman Seating at the Virginals", 1660-1662 by Johannes Vermeer. Although it was disputed if its an Vermeer. And here comes Dr. Thinkslow-Shootwell.... -

The Vermeer painting in the basement shows that the false Thinkslow-Shootwell has a exquisite taste -
Wonderful design and with the base it looks like a great display piece!
-
Your streak of wonderful vignettes continues! I love the altarpiece and church window and also the brickbuild banner from the Prussian homage.

Wonderful and flamboyant build There are many stories to discover and one can hardly capture all details. I can only imagine how much time and thought went into this.
