  1. Is this from a reputable leaker? Sorry but a big fig, two sets of differently printed wings, and altogether 3 minifigs with inique printing is a red flag for me. That said, I could care less about the build if its real, its an instant buy. A 2nd set would be amazing if it turns out there's as much Hulky stuff in the movie as is rumored.
  2. I genuinely cant imagine lego ever doing a ucs hall of armor. Are there existing UCS sets that are so blatantly about the minifigs? Like the Bugle and Tower have a lot of great figs but the build is still the centerpiece. A hall of armor would be truly about the minifigs included and I dont see that happening. Outside of the figs, the hall and the malibu house are pretty niche and undeserving of a UCS imo
  3. Usually I dont buy into those kinds of leaks but I believe this one because: -its lego quality, a literal photo, and hasnt appeared on any customs/bootlegs since the leak, nor is there reason for anyone like firestar to be producing a quicksilver fig at the moment -Lego is FINALLY listening to what the fans want. We got the Avengers tower, a Spidey set specifically for the Lizard, the X-Jet, new Hulk bigfigs, Wasp, etc... Quicksilver and AoU sets are one of the few things I see requested often.
  4. Wow this is really good! Hanging above your desk is a great idea, lol
  5. They were posted here a few pages back but at the moment nobody really knows if they're legit. There's not really ANY new media other than Deadpool and Xmen95 coming out this summer, so given the leaks we've already had, it seems likely there'll be a few Xmen sets as well as the usual barrage of Spiderman stuff. Disney has been doing an excellent job of minimizing Sony-related tie ins so I don't expect we'll get anything related to the Madame Web-verse. If I had to guess, I'd say we might see a few extra Spider-girls/women and if we're lucky, a Deadpool, randomly inserted into Spiderman and Wolverine car sets. The only other Marvel set we're expecting is the X-mansion, and I think we're all hoping it's the $170 set if anything. Cap 4 and Thunderbolts sets are almost certainly postponed.
  6. The people that care about specific Iron Man and Spider Man suits are about a niche as the people who want the MCU characters filled out. If comic sets are going to do well, theyre going to, as you said, each consist of Iron Man, Spider Man, Wolverine, or Captain America. I dont have a problem with the "Batman" approach of using those characters paired with D-list characters for the collectors, but I think in reality Lego knows these things will do best with TV or movie tie ins. We're basically at the mercy of whatever animated stuff is on Disney+ for a year or so.
  7. I'm not going to get the blackbird but I hope it's a popular set. Everybody is talking about what could come in the next "set," but I think it doesn't matter- if Xmen95 is popular and the set sells semi-well, Xmen could be a Spidey-level sub theme and we could get plenty of sets.
  8. Are these Jan 1 leaks? Or March? NGL other than the Lizard set, one thing or another keeps me from being interested. Never gonna join the mech gang, and $80 for a $40 Blackbird is unspeakable. I understand the hype for the characters but its funny that this is hyped but the Hoopty is considered so overpriced
  9. The theme isn't what allows CMFs a bigger budget, it's that the profit on a $6 fig is MUCH higher than if it were even a $10 set stuffed with small pieces. IMO I think any Fortnite sets are going to be seriously subdued from what is available in the game- probably a bunch of cool new molds, but my guess would be a lot of missing leg prints.
  10. I think all examples of "X's so and so" set names are part of the princess theme. I'd love some Tangled figs without shelling out $400 as well but I doubt this is it. Especially for a tower and a building for $60.
  11. This. My kids call them Miles, Peter, and Gwen anyway. My daughter even calls Gwen Spider-girl, nobody is saying Ghost Spider lol. These sets are great though. My only complaint is that the previous HQ set, the big one, was double the price when I bought it a few years ago. Maybe Lego is correcting some of their prices now? It sure seems like the Marvel and HP set reveals are much more reasonable.
  12. You all are conveniently forgetting about an extremely well selling lego theme based on an extremely popular franchise of sequel worthy stories featuring blue aliens. Those sets are probably November 2024 based on the next sequels Dec release date.
  13. Its sad that Marvels didnt get a little more toy love. It doesnt stand out to me as a huge merchandisable movie but it sure seems like Marvel anticipated it not getting much love, and I'd bet anything that was due in part to the baclash Brie/women-led movies have gotten. I thought it was great and definitely one of my fav Multiverse saga movies. I'd probably put it in my top 3-4. It's sad we didnt get a Dar Benn minifig. Looks like Lego is slowly going back to fill the missing figs when they can but who wants to wait 5 years for a Modok or Dar Benn
  14. Tbf the Enchanted Treehouse is probably the best princess set of all time
  15. Not sure if all Targets have the same discount but mine had Hoopty for 20% off yesterday. I stacked it with some other discounts and got it to $60. I actually ended up paying about $15 after using target savings, etc... It's actually a really good set. Much bigger than it looks. Verh swooshable and the exterior of the ship looks great and was a blast to build. My only real gripe is the Kamala fig has reg legs and no mask. Cap Marvel appears to have a new face print? I def recommend the set if you can find it $60 or less, that's what I'd probably price it at.
  16. I agree with you but the reason is definitely to allow kids to get those characters without devaluing the secondary market. Examples being Drax from Marvel and Emperor Palpatine from SW. A Princess/Disney calender would be awesome if it wasn't padded with junk like most of the other calendars. IMO there's zero chance it's minifigs though, and I think the leak lists more figs/dolls than typicaly come in a calendar anyway. I'm a little skeptical of it's legitimacy being it's a literal year away from release.
  17. I mean the reworking of Daredevil from ground up could imply really anything but press was pretty clear from the beginning of production that DD is intended to be for a wider audience than the netflix show was. I very much doubt Marvel allows one of its tentpole IPs to be fenced off by R/MA rating. Remember not being MA doesnt automatically mean G, and the netflix shows happened because Marvel wasnt going to use those heroes and could make a buck off of them. There's just not really any reason for Daredevil to fill that content space for Marvel/Disney anymore if kids are interested in the hero/toys (Shehulk indicates that Marvel believes they are). There are plenty of opportunities for darker/violent content, like Echo, Blade, etc... I think silver-age Daredevil, more colorful and interesting than brooding, fits what Marvel is doing a lot better than retellings of the dark Frank Miller styled stuff. Edit: my point is that Disney wont miss out on marketing Daredevil to kids and Lego included... I dont think theyd allow DD an unfavorable age rating just based on that alone, and I dont think Echo's rating really has much to do with it despite sharing a few characters. Kingpin was also in Hawkeye and likely less violent.
  18. Disney didnt say that, that was spread around by "insiders." Disney's response to Peter Dinklage's comments are here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/variety.com/2022/film/news/disney-responds-peter-dinklage-snow-white-outrage-1235163195/amp/
  19. I don't think this was ever the case. Rumor mill has been insane around the movie because of the casting backlash but I don't believe anyone at Disney ever confirmed using magical creatures, using or not using little people, etc... The seven dwarves are a HUGE IP for Disney, they still appear frequently in marketing live shows, etc... I think we can all take a breath that the movie will be semi-faithful and if any changes are made it'll be out of a desire to be respectful to real little persons. Merchandising will almost certainly be the same.
  20. The AoU finale is the obvious choice for a new "moments" set, and checks a lot of boxes for a lot of lego collectors. I wouldnt be surprised if Quicksilver appears in a random set a la Iron Man armory/Whiplash however.
  21. That would super cool but since Majors is currently wiped from Quantumania marketing I dont see it happening. Wasp in the Avengers tower is basically the nail in the coffin
  22. Wow Hoopty is completely buried on lego.com. I couldn't find it until I went about halfway through available Marvel sets. Nothing in "New" or on the front page. I guess they don't expect it to do well.
  23. Walt Disney and Kevin Feige in the same year. Now if they make a George Lucas fig I can stage my Disney heads battle
  24. IMO the existence of the Dark Trooper attack shows Lego does get info on spoiler sets and therefore they are more likely. Of course Ahsoka will never be near the hype of Luke Skywalker returning, but given Ahsoka is only 3/4's done, and two of the most important characters in the show are likely to have large involvement in what will be 3 out of 8 episodes (I'm talking about Thrawn and Ezra btw), it sure seems like a great opportunity to sell toys. I'm betting on another set with Thrawn, Ezra, and Enoch.
  25. I'm sure this has been asked to death, but if the UCS is november how quickly have leaks come in the past?
