  1. I've never held the elastic arms and may not understand how they work, but yes there is a normal length arm. It almost looks like a normal length arm can be place on/removed from the long piece and put right onto the body?
  2. Completely agree. I wonder if lego is bound to stay within certain ratios of pieces to minifigs, because the house couldve been half as big as it is and would've been far more successful if it still included the same figs. Honestly looking back it was not a great build experience for how big the set was. The last handful of bags were all the ridiculously complicated roof, and I just wanted to be done.
  3. I'm not vibing with the Spiderman 2 set rumor but I'll add that the One Piece piece leaks included a sideways arm (like the winged arms but without the wings). I think if a set like this happens it's sure to include a Spiderman with sideways arms.
  4. I know everybody here is mostly focused on the games, especially given the January sets, but there are like 2-3 popular Sonic shows streaming right now. My guess is the Knuckles set is another random compilation of Robotnik builds vs. a hero, and the Sonic Team truck is probably something closer to the hideouts from one of the shows, along with a handful of characters (probably Sonic, Tails, and Amy). My personal wish would be some Chaotix characters or Big, but with how many new molds and recolors this theme gets, I'm happy either way.
  5. Honestly I'm not buying the rumor. Seems like the discord comment is derivative of the other. NGL tho, if not Spiderverse, I'd really just rather they build out the 'comics' rogues gallery. Rhino headpiece in Spidey & Friends was nice but we're due a new Kraven when the dvd hits (a la Morb) and a few others.
  6. First CPS lego minifig lets gooo!!!
  7. I'd be very surprised if Jumba or Pleakley are included in the minifig scale set. I'd put money on just Stitch, Lilo, and maybe the sister. If Angel were there I imagine it'd only be because the same mold can be used in pink as for stitch. Has it even been ruled out that the set is based on the live action movie? They aren't CMF worthy of course either- Cheshire Cat and Toy Story Alien are super popular "side characters" with their own merch, etc... Angel is very popular right now probably just because Stitch is resurfacing as an icon of Disney's.
  8. I'm responding to replies days late, but I do think most of the accessory ideas are kind of lackluster. Are they possible? Sure, but they fall into the category of "let's give this minifigure something" (ie. Echo from D+2 wave, Ms. Piggy from Muppets wave) as opposed to pieces that make the CMF complete (like Cap America from D+1, or any of the DnD figs). It would be very cool if CMF takes a note from the Marvel Legends series' and starts including a piece from an extra fig or two or three in each set. Depending on how many extra pieces needed for the fig, it could be spread across 3, 4 or 6 figs.
  9. On one hand, yea it'll be cool to get a lot of characters we don't get in sets (2099, Jessica Drew, Ham, Noir, etc...) but whoever said the figs are at the risk of being boring is 100% correct IMO. Are they just a bunch of printed minifigs? A hood piece here or there? What other accessories could they have? Hopefully not a bunch of printed tiles like the Muppet CMF. It's a cool idea and I'm happy for yall that have been begging for these. Personally I would've liked these to take the place of some of the Spidey cars and mechs and stuff we get every spring.
  10. I agree, and it's gotta be. I know everybody talks up Tony's penthouse but the fact that they keep churning out sets that include basically every fig that would be in it leads me to believe they think there's more money in a smaller scale 'modular' Hall of Armor. On the same coin, the only Thor figs we've gotten are Thor and Loki, and of course Surtur, for the last few waves. No supporting cast from any of the 4 movies since L&T released. Suspicious...
  11. The cap set looks so much better than I expected. $55 is ungodly though. I'll be waiting for a discount but still excited abiut this set. It does look like Cap and Falcon have helmets printed on their heads though. I really hope that's not the case as those types of figs are always super ugly. Red Hulk/President Ross, Captain America/Sam, Falcon/Torres, and Ruth Bat-Seraph. Presumably this set is based around the dog-fight midair at Tiamut's hand in the ocean and the plane is some kind of fighter jet.
  12. The Xmen sets have had me questioning the sets I buy- I normally stick to MCU and haven't really pursued any Xmen or Spidey, and because the Xmansion looks semi-good, I wondered when we could get an MCU version. Probably not until 2029-2030 at ABSOLUTE soonest. Of course the same question arises with Blade, so maybe it's worth picking up some of these sets in the meantime.
  13. I hope it matches the art style and vibes of Spidey. My kids love Spidey.
  14. Yes, but we're talking about Winter 2025, and the claim is that there's a single MCU set for the year. Obviously F4 movie sets aren't going to come out in January when the movie is November, and not having any sets for that movie is a bold claim to make this early.
  15. I don't buy the leak at all. F4 vs Galactus being comic based, sure, it makes sense that they'd start seeding F4 merch ahead of the movie. But 3 movies, one of them being one of Marvel's most popular IPs, and they're not going any sets? I doubt it. We never get winter leaks this early anyway, why would we take that as gospel now?
  16. Obviously this thread is going to be biased... but I will say that the tower is the only set I've ever spent that kind of money on, and it didn't disappoint. It's the crown jewel of my lego collection. I was really worried I would be disappointed by the build or by the display, but it is without question FAR better in person than pictures do it justice. The thing just doesn't appear as massive in pictures as it truly is in person. That said, I also have strong feelings about sending Lego/Nintendo a message about the Zelda set. I'd kill for those figs but that price is extortion. I would normally hope that they re-release those figs in more reasonably priced sets, but any attempt to fix it at this point is going to spit in the face of the people who bought it already.
  17. I really hope they go with a "chewy" shoulder-piece thing or even a totally new middle size body type like Hagrid. At Hulk's smallest, he's still much bigger than Thing, and Thing is almost always portrayed as bulkier than humans but not much bigger. That said if Thanos is a bigfig why not Thing as well. Honestly knowing lego he'll probably just be a regular minifig.
  18. Yea, the Killian fig from IM3 is pretty awful lol. It's weird how lego randomly decides to give figs white skin. Personally this sounds like a definite skip for me, given I lived the original Hall of Armor sets, and since then they've remodeled the containers and the suit helmets. A new Igor sounds cool, but I worked hard to get mine down to minifig scale and I'd bet this one is gonna be even bigger than the original. I suppose it really depends on whether Rescue and IP are in the set and look good.
  19. Xmen 97 released a few months ago and was massively popular. Not to mention, despite being sidelined during the MCU, the Xmen are still historically Marvel's 2nd most profitable IP. The X-mansion d2c wasn't much of a gamble at all. As much as I have no interest in it, a Stark mansion d2c seems likely. Lego continues to release Hall of Armor expansions and a D2C would basically sell itself. I'm still on team Asgard though.
  20. I don't generally agree with shredding lego sets as they appear, but comparing this with the Hocus Pocus set... yikes. It doesn't really feel like it captures the NBC aesthetic and overall just looks like a clunky MOC. I guess I'm relieved I can save my money, but zero is coming via bricklink for sure. Lack of Oogie was a bad call.
  21. Agreed. I'd call out that lego fans love to recognize patterns in the time and sets that lego releases, but they aren't beholden to do one thing or another. In my opinion, we can be sure that the Baxter Building won't be a D2C (at least the MCU version that will be more than a random skyscraper) for a few years after the new movie. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we get a non-d2c version with the release. I know "MCU Lego city" is a big driver for D2C collectors but there are some great opportunities for non-city D2Cs. Asgard is the obvious one but the fact that Mt Bashenga with the giant panther hasn't been done is an actual travesty
  22. I mean it's definitely not for me. But I'm sure we all know a dude that a giant lego marvel logo would be perfect for. Great fathers day gift. I may be wrong, but I think Marvel owns these characters- at least the ones that aren't unique to Spiderverse. Why would you want them to be Spiderverse branded? If anything, Lego using generic Marvel branding is GOOD, because the less money Sony makes off of these movies the better, and it doesn't seem to impact the characters' popularity of Marvel's willingness to make toys.
  23. Curious if the Airport set appeals to anyone who's been in the theme long enough to have the old sets? The August wave is tough for me to justify (though I'm tempted to get the new Hulk and a second leviathan after the Tower set.) I'll be surprised if the new Civil War set is better than the old one with the Antman buildable fig, and curious whether anyone with existing figs from that movie really want a new one.
  24. I didn't even realize it was a night trooper. It really just looks like a regular storm trooper. This was the set I was really waiting for all year and the parts that the leaks got wrong really killed it for me. I have the newest Ahsoka but would've been interested in a white dressed fig. Thrawn and Ezra are great but I could care less about Morgan or Ahsoka, and the Night trooper is all but useless by itself. I hope we see Enoch in s2 of Ahsoka because he's the most intriguing character in SW in a while.
  25. I think this will probably be the consensus and it'll do well because of it. Collectors of the "art" displays and the masks/helmets are the target of this set, not this board that is mostly minifig collectors.
