Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Yes- for what it's worth. It's a very minor updated version of the final suit from Iron Man 1. Essentially the same suit but in name. -

Not sure I follow, were you joking about shirtless Thing? I'd be very surprised if they didn't make him shirtless, and likewise Johnny in flame mode. It's not like Sue and Ben are going to have the same torso ie. the Guardians. Thing has always worn clothes sometimes but shirtless has been kind of his staple design forever. Let's just be thankful he stopped wearing the underoos a decade or two ago. BTW, a shirtless Aldrich Killian from IM3 was released in a set literally less than a week ago, so it's not like lego is afraid of shirtless minifigs. -

The coolest thing about the IW wave IMO was that they were able to do big sets AND small affordable ones and still make them all cohesive. I'd even call the Cap/Widow set an army builder set. It'd be cool if they made sets for each of the teams- a New Avengers set, a legacy Xmen set, a Thunderbolts set, etc... That'd be a good way to get the Thunderbolts set we wanted if the rating is too high for kiddos. I'm assuming we're also going to want updated F4 costumes once the new set is revealed too XD -

I'm assuming the ages in this thread are pretty young if you had Iron Man toys as a kid being the movie came out 17 years ago, but making Iron Man toys that coincided with the movie is how he got popular. He was a B-level character at best and Cap was even worse off. I know you guys are dead set on divorcing this theme from the MCU but even seeing a Red Hulk fig on the shelf generates excitement for BNW. Yes, kids don't know White Widow or Sentry, and Marvel/Lego isn't going to put Thunderbolts sets on the shelves because it isn't going to drive kids to the movie. That's not the case with Doomsday. Kids don't need to care about the complexities of the plot- seeing new toys that feature the characters is going to generate interest. It's no different from happy meal toys of characters that they have no idea about. Personally I'm hoping both Doomsday and Secret Wars get Infinity War style sets that tie together. It was such an awesome wave that had pretty minimal spoilers. -

Your opinion is valid, and I get it. I personally have liked most of the MCU entries so being in a community where the stuff you like is just dragged constantly isn't fun and I doubt I'm alone in that. I think you're right on the money about Rivals. The community is a little too sweaty for me but Marvel knows it struck gold with the game and they'll be printing gold with merch and toys in no time. I'd be shocked if Marvel hadn't met with Lego about it already. Funko has already made announcements and we know they're the fastest to turn around. The game has a kind of gloomy environment, so I wonder what kinds of opportunities there are for sets? Payloads are a safe bet a la the Overwatch theme. Destructable builds are something that'd fit that lego has done before too. Surely a Peni Parker mech and buildable Jeff, lol. -

Man this thread is insane. I don't know why some of you guys are even here when every comment is just clear disdain for Marvel. New Doomsday hype is released with generally cool, surprising news and you still want to complain about Cap 4. Regarding the X-men, it's easy to assume this is a send-off for the Fox-men, but I'm skeptical as we've done several send-offs already, particularly for Patrick Stewart. I have no doubt James Marsden will be in the Uncanny Cyclops suit, so I hope this movie doesn't kill chances for the next generation of MCU Xmen in those costumes. I've been skipping the Xmen '97 sets because getting MCU-only sets is how I keep my lego budget under control, so I'm psyched to finally get some X-men. Marsden was doing press tour for Sonic 3 and it became kind of a bit that he kept bringing up Cyclops in every interview- hilarious now knowing that he was dropping major hints. -

We'd never get a single set if pokemon cards were included in them. I hope to god they never do that. -

To be fair, Bluey did the same thing and is minifig scale. I think you're right though, the Pokemon IP is different from Star Wars in that the focus is the pokemon. I can't imagine a scenario where Nintendo wouldn't want people building the pokemon themselves. It's a shame because small pokemon molds with minifig trainers and buildable colosseums and gyms would go so hard. Nintendo may be the deciding factor as they have a reputation for "innovative" features on their toys, which is of course why they are so protective of collaborations with Funko, etc... but hopefully they (and Lego) are realizing that the minifig-scale toy system literally prints money. I think I can speak for all kids when I say being able to put Pokemon, Marvel, Ninja Turtles, etc... on the Millenium Falcon and play with them cohesively would have blown my mind. -

NGL the fact that Mk4 is getting new prints makes me laugh not only given how stingy the other characters' prints are, but also that it's basically mk3 anyway. It's weird to me that 42 wasn't in next months armory with Iron Patriot and Killian. I really doubt they're going to make new Homecoming sets so I'm really hoping we don't have to buy two more armories over the next few years to get 42 and 47 -

Ultron's top and bottom helmet pieces are like my favorite pieces ever. Absolutely insane that they designed not one but two pieces and built the wave for that movie around them, rather than the opposite. They brought the bottom piece back so I don't think it'd be crazy to see that again, but to put two custom pieces into production for a single set, I wouldn't bet on. Generally Marvel hasn't been getting a lot of new pieces. -

Transponder snail would be amazing, I hope they do it. I think theres probably already a handful of Swords they could use for Yoru. I also think the fruit could be fine if they used the standard "apple" piece in purple and then printed the swirls on it. I don't see a new piece happening for one set, and the smallest one. I hope that as many custom pieces as possible are used for Arlong and crew. -

NGL I check on this thread to see what leaks people are discussing or what ideas people have for sets and most of the time it's you guys talking about how bad everything is, it's a real drag. The hate for the new movie is massively exaggerated and it probably has some of the best Sam moments. Sam vs Sidewinder was awesome, I really hope Serpent Society sticks around and we get some proper suits, and Diamondback comes back. I got a Diamondback McDonalds toy months ago (lol) and she would've made a cool minifig. I'd also love a Leader minifig. -
LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I thought it was pretty common knowledge at this point that Hasbro has star wars action figure licenses and lego only gets around that by having buildable aspects. If that's not the case it's at least what I've heard repeated online and at lego events. -

If I had to guess I'd bet Thunderbolts gets a set after the 'reveal' of the villain. A la No Way Home. -

We have a lot of story missing from Rhodey's interaction with skulls. Ironheart being part of Armor Wars is a bonus. Cheadle has definitely earned his own movie and has the chops for it. Add in Justin Hammer, the fact that Stark Industries has been taken over by Damage Control, and the fact that nanotech and arc reactors are common enough for baddies like Crimson Dynamo (the real one), Armor Wars wouldve been sick. I'm not convinced the rumors it was cancelled are reliable anyway. I dont understand the "would've been better with Tony Stark" comments because if either of them are qualified to lead a movie about international superpowers creating suits to rival the US's, itd be Rhodey. -

Terribad take. Armor Wars is probably the most popular solo-run Iron Man series to date. In fact, now thay nano-tech is commonplace, Ironheart already releasing, and Rhodey being involved in US politics, it's even more relevant to the current MCU. Who wouldn't want to see a royal rumble with Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, etc...? On topic, I do really like the new hall of Armor extension. If the price wasn't so terrible it'd be a day one buy -
Lego One Piece rumors and discussion

I'm expecting the wave to cover a little of S1 AND probably a few spoiler free S2 sets. I really hope that the fact that three of the characters have new hair pieces might mean they're committing to the IP for longer than one wave. I can see existing pieces being used for many of the characters- Koby's hair would be great with the Alien Imposter from the space CMF in pink. Garp's could be the hair from friends that's now being used for MCU Hawkeye. There's probably a dozen good hair pieces for Zoro but I'm not sure about Sanji or Nami. If they're covering S1, I'd hope to see Arlong, and I really hope to see a new head piece altogether. I can't see characters like Kuroobi making the cut honestly. Hopefully some of the piece budget will go to pieces that can be used on the Merry's head, etc... I can already see Lego using the buildable-fig-shoulder piece for Merrys head like they do on the Dreamzzz monsters and such. -

Looks like it's $50 though... If it's the same size as the Spiderverse set, it's absolutely a bricklink for me. No way am I telling Lego these tiny sets are worth $50. -

Spidey street modulars is actually pretty genius. More modular buildings for people who can't afford $300 sets as well as fleshing out the city for those that do. -

I mean I agree but does obscurity matter if a tentpole MCU movie is releasing this year? I would'nt have said Sanctum would be a super popular set prior to DS2 releasing but the movie helped with that considerably. I can only speculate of course but given Daily Bugle AND the tower are heading out, and meanwhile modulars are more popular than ever, I think we'll probably see a steady flow of Marvel modulars. Lego seems to be taking a UCS strategy with adult lego buyers including LotR, Zelda, etc... A UCS Jango's Quinjet would really torment a lot of us -

You guys don't think the lack of F4 sets kind of indicates the modular is the Baxter building? Lego has released small sets complimentary to the modular 3 times now... It's surely the Baxter building. The Sanctum had the Gargantos battle, the X-Mansion had the X-jet, and the Avengers tower had the Leviathan battle. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get a bunch of the villains that are allegedly in the 'superhero' montage that's rumored, like Moleman, etc... I also wonder if the existence of a modular Baxter Building means we'll get regular F4 minifigs in either set, or maybe if they enter 616 we'll get two different versions of their suits... and a bigfig Thing! -

Interesting... does the long piece go through the whole body? So essentially you have two arms of one determined length?
