  1. Still don t understand what is the prolem. Please somebody record and post video with demonstration of hubs's problem. Please:)
  2. Night was succesfull: Very strong, no deformation on heavy load, friction is minimal. Locking is controllable by 12 bevel gear.I like it.
  3. My old idea is similar to your. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=481750 But your axle is better and compact. Thats what I want to build:) thank you. But i will combine your and Sariel's ideas to minimize gears:) Your gearing way to locking axle is 16:16:16 and I will try 20:16, like Sariel do.
  4. Just received a letter from Jeppe Juul Jensen. It comtain information about starting final vote campaign: "...Your design will together with the nine other designs be put on the LEGO Technic competition website for the final voting from January 9th... " Where is the truth?
  5. Thank you, Sorry, that I did not put 19L axles everywhere in my model:) But I can write in my reply letter to JJJ: "Please, could you put some 19L axles in the box for Paul...":)
  6. I have to double-post, sorry, but I have good news for those who like my design:) Just received a letter from Jeppe Juul Jensen. Boss as chosen as one of ten finalists:) He also said, that final voting starts from January 9th. Thank you for support.
  7. I cant use old style diff because front axle is steered and also driven. Using 4L old diff at front is problem, because liftarm frames are for 3L diffs). Using old style diff at front axle also make front axles wider 2 studs tan with new style diff. Using rear old style diff and front new style diffs simultaneously- impossible, cause when there is no central diff ( or when it is locked) gear reduction at axles will be different (24 old, 28 tooth - new)
  8. Yes, but without 5x7 frame it is not so strong:(
  9. I Like to build middle scale PF AWD cars. Always have a dilemma: with differentials or not. Now I am trying to find idea of rear live axle with possibility of locking (by hand). I tried many times, but did not find any compact and effective idea. The main rules: 1) using differential of NEW type 2) wide of axle without wheels 13-15 studs 3) axle can be "suspended" 4) axle is compact and can be fitted without lifting body too high to be civill offroader Please, mates, give any ideas
  10. Legomarat (guess he is russian) posted at his flickr and brickshelf very interesting MOC http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=519453 Video (please, somebody, share video here if it is possible) As I understand, it is fully RC with M-motor per each axle. Very interesting to see it with L motors per axle. Model team scale with perfect wheels (my favorite). P.s. VTB - is russian bank group I am working for from 2006:)
  11. David, you spent so much time for selecting and posting entries. Thank you very much!
