  1. Some mud trucks have front axle with one direction pattern, and rear axle with oppopsite. Because sometimes you need to do a step back, before two steps forward. That's Mud life
  2. 2500 parts and no motors means it could be similar in scale and design level as 42069. Scale is enough to do fully independent suspension driven with steering as in coming 2020 Defender. That's good news. I like it
  3. I think they are choosed independent suspension setuup to accent on new planetary hubs that open up new possibilities for heavy-duty models without using old portal hubs.
  4. Welcome back Jedi. Great truck and unique chassis as base for all of us!
  5. yes, red hard shocks. Suspension based on oscilating axle using turntable have less movemnet aplitude, so they can save so budget and use small shock absorbers, comapring to 9398, where free axles based on free rotating ball joints need more shock absorber working amplitude. sad, but I can uderstand such decision. added later: looks like front suspension (at least) is not just solid axle, but hybrid: independent+solid
  6. shame, no suspension in the crawler, just oscilating axles. Downgrade in terms of authenticity. But I can agree - this is cheaper to use existing 6,5 shock hard absorbers, than returning to long 9,5 shocks. Especially when so many new electronics used
  7. have the same problem. My leak hole is near LEGO sign, around the base also
  8. I can’t agree. Almost 200 euro is enough for set with 1000-1200 parts, 3 motors and remote control (remember 9398, 41999). That Crawlers was huge and less detailed comparing to models with smaller wheel and body size and the same part count. check my Toyota trucks at my YouTube, or Madoka’s models - they are 1000-1200 pcs with 2 or 3 motors and rc. Usually, moc BL cost is two time more than LEGO set with same part count and inventory structure, so my mid scale off-roaders with RC and 62 mm wheels cost about 350-450 euro. This mean that this moc as official set should cost about 200 euro. One thing I am 100% sure: this Land Rover will not be another 42093 Chevrolet Corvette? All Info is my speculation.
  9. Another thoughts: we saw different LEGO models presented simultaneously with real models: BMW 1200gs, Mack Anthem, Porsche GT3 RS. So it looks like a good tradition and marketing step to release new Defender LEGO set together with real model, not old classic def, not Range Rover... the next important note: since LR present DEF as the #best4x4xFar, off-road functions as 4x4 and suspension should be important points of model together with iconic design. If it will be powered with motors, it will be 4x4 remote driven to underline accent on 4x4 off-road capabilities. Ok, according to price, it can be mid scale model with 62 mm wheels. Safest way to make it driven: L motor (powered up of course) on each axle with differentials + Servo steered. I believe they can release some unique parts for these set, for example new remote control, wheel or even tire. But the most interesting question here: how can they build independent suspensions (yes Defender is with independent suspension on both axles, as based on Discovery). It should use some new driveshaft parts, as they can also be used at new crawler set 42099. Or may be it’s just big mechanical model as 42096 wit a lot of holes and compromises....?! I can’t imagine any utility version of new def with independent suspension and without ladder frame. I think they just closed the door to utility and heavy-duty off-roader market. This should be just fashion stylish retro-look off-roader, SUV.
  10. 42110 could be a hidden code. Model should be 110 inch wheelbase, that means 5 door version https://www.motor1.com/news/301323/2020-land-rover-defender-spied/
  11. Dear @Thirdwigg one day we should host online contest about this model We shoud not hide our feelings
  12. Since we are adult people here (and not only here) I prefer to be direct as it is
  13. Yes, fully agree. Two times a year I see people crying and blaiming TLG after seeing 100x100 pixels of preliminary product. What I strange position to be unsatisfied in everything around. It's not for CalimeroLego personal, but for group of people with negative postiton...
  14. What messy? Did you see the final models or just prelimanry pictures for reatailers? Wait for official pictures, before judge unrelaesed product.
  15. Something wrong with the colors. May be he mixed something, but truck is white/red with blue car, spider is yellow, SUV is black or some dark color d.blue/DBG with red chassis. That's what I saw in prelim. But they can build other colors for toyfair (like with 42056) or even change colors in the final stage...
  16. As I saw, 4x4 SUV can be equipped with black or dbg wheel arches of large or mid size (42056/42096). And its more like moster truck than SUV) Since we'll get new hubs and shafts (half-axles) it is very possible that suspension on new model is independent and shafts really strong to handle high torque
  17. Hello, can I post my review here. It is my detailed review with english subtitles Turn on english subtitiles to see detailed review of 42096 LEGO Technic Porsche 911 RSR up to date: exterior, interior and functions review, impressions, Cons and Pros, modifications/upgrades directions for this set . Thank you for watching.
  18. I can confirm. My 3x- buwizz with 3 buggy motors car disconnets while driving very easily. I just can drive straight and may be some turns before 1 of 3 buwizz bricks disconnects with iOS app.
  19. Love this model. Must have for any Technic collector, just to diversify collection
  20. Can’t agree with you. One loves functions, another Technic design, third prefer base for own mods. And what is LEGO creator? you better go and watch creator sets first. This is pure modern Technic set with look over finctions, and without “stupid WOW" functions
