  1. Not sure if this is exactly the right place to discuss this, but there's been some leaks about the Ninjago x Fortnite crossover that's happening. The funniest part to me is that apparently Zane's design is based on his Prime Empire suit despite the fact that we never actually got that one as a minifigure. I also find it interesting that they're going to look like real people, not minifigures. Between that and the movie, it's looking to me like Lego might be hoping to expand Ninjago into more of a multimedia franchise than it already is?
  2. That is so comically arrogant lmao. I guess we've always got other places to buy them from at least but still, not exactly a great look (not to mention one that does not inspire me to shop on their website). Unrelated but are we seeing the 2026 sets soon? Feels like those blurry leaks were a while ago now and we're pretty close to the new year at this point.
  3. Lego: "Andor fans, you asked and we're here to provide! The 2026 advent calendar will be featuring a mini build of the Tie Avenger!"
  4. I feel like I may have already made this point before but with regards to the Kanto starters set, I still cannot fathom why they're putting all three in one set. The three of them (regardless of whether its their first or final forms) are among the most popular pokemon ever and I have no doubt that there's zero chance they wouldn't sell incredibly well if they were each their own set. I'm sure it will still make plenty of money as is but this seems like such an unforced error. Imagine how many people would buy one of these for $200, if anything you might end up seeing people buy all three over time since it's less money upfront, whereas now a huge chunk of people who might be interested (dare I say the majority?) won't pick it up because it's way too much money to be spending on Legos. I dunno, it just seems like a stupid idea to me.
  5. That's actually not the widely agreed upon definition by most dictionaries. Most of the definitions I found mention acting with irrationality or foolishness, and since the Tie Avenger campaign is clearly on the road to success, I believe it must continue until the goal is achieved . Well if it's the Empire I can't imagine they'll be giving particularly fair coverage...in seriousness though I am actually interested to see what shows up. I'm not even especial interested in M&G but I am of course interested in Legos and it still feels like we have so little information on these sets.
  6. Well I said the Wolfpack part as a joke but I think it's a cool ship. The main appeal for me personally is more Andor content though and I'm not convinced the series is popular enough to get a price point big enough for the Fondor. Granted I'm not particularly convinced Andor is popular enough to get anything else period, but if it happens then I think the Avenger would be a good pick for another set (also idk how often you visit the forum but it's a running joke on here atp so I was leaning into that).
  7. Very exciting! Curious to see what percentage of the build is Ganon vs the terrain. I feel like Ganon doesn't really need to be that big since he's not particularly huge in Ocarina of Time, but I could see him being scaled up somewhat to allow for more detail.
  8. Lego coming in next summer with the Wolfpack Prototype Tie Avenger (retails for $180).
  9. Imagine if we got Savage Opress instead haha. Definitely less likely but it doesn't feel completely out of the question with how much CW and Maul stuff has been popping up lately.
  10. The blacksmith shop looks awesome. Kinda small for the price but it's so dense and detailed that it does make up for it imo. I wish we got more stuff like this, maybe we will in the future if this one does well?
  11. I don't know why, but I just looked at the Shock Trooper mech again and it made me laugh. It's not even a bad set, I think it's probably the best set of those in the leaks? But that's why I find it funny I suppose, it's ridiculous that this is what LSW is coming to. Hopefully the rest of the year looks a bit better.
  12. It'll be a shame if they do that, when I was younger I always thought his armor being titanium was so cool. It really makes that design feel distinct even all these years later.
  13. That's my feeling on the masks too, they're nice but I don't see why everyone has to be gold. As far as Nya is concerned, I'm guessing she'll be Samurai X since that was her design for the 2012 wave? But I guess if it's based more on the show then there's an argument to be made that her 2011 design makes more sense.
  14. Wow those look fantastic. Very excited to see the rest of them
  15. Agreed on the pricing point. Maybe Lego just doesn't care because there'll always be a cohort of rabid fans who buy a hundred of them day one, but I feel like raising the price is going to probably end up having some negative ramifications for them. If they absolutely had to, I think it would have made sense to just decrease the volume of stuff in the battle pack. No one really cares about the builds 90% of the time, they could have massively downscaled them and kept the price lower right? Idk exactly how the economics of battle packs work though, maybe the minifigures are way more expensive than the rest of the bricks and the only way to keep them cheaper would have been to make them only have three minifigures or something.
  16. I think Lego should kill two birds with one stone by releasing a Tie Avenger that includes Boss Nass. But yeah some more leaks would be nice, at the very least I'd like to see the complete figures for the parts that have leaked already.
  17. I'm actually really curious how long the average person lurks before making an account. I probably waited longer than most, I don't remember exactly how long it was but I remember seeing a leaked set list for the Ninjago ghost wave so I must have been checking it out since at least like 2014? Yeah that's insane, I would've assumed it had a whole technic skeleton. I guess they just assumed that if you're spending a grand on the thing you're going to be treating it more carefully than you're firstborn, but it's still wild.
  18. My uncle who works at Lego says we're getting a UCS Tie Avenger next year and it comes with all the main characters from Andor, and also those arguing rebels from the beginning of season 2 that no one really liked.
  19. I think the only reason not to is if you just don't want to bother with the hassle, which is fair but ultimately I guess it just depends on the person. Personally I wouldn't be willing to forgo potentially $500+ just for convenience, I'd never spend $1000 on a Lego set to begin with either. The people who are spending that much on minifigures are most definitely outliers among outliers and frankly I think they're objectively just bad with their money or too wealthy to care. Feels like Lego has been catering more and more to that slice of the market lately, but we've all talked about that extensively already so I guess it doesn't bear repeating.
  20. Yeah that's the thing, there's absolutely no world where those bricks cost so much. It's somewhat fair with the motors or the computers they used to do, but a tiny little mass-produced brick that has at most a very simple computer built in is not worth $50 extra, and you'd think they know that. Maybe it's just hubris or something, I don't know, but I can't imagine they haven't found in their market research that most parents are going to choose to buy the bigger, cheaper set for their kid if they're stuck between two options.
  21. Wow that certainly is a 4+ X-Wing. One thing I have been kind of baffled by ever since the rumors came out is exactly why this set has to look like this? Like, is the smart brick just designed such that any set that incorporates one has to look bad??? Or is that the smart brick costs a lot of money and these sets are supposed to be extra playable, so to keep them somewhat affordable and toy-ish the sets had to be massively simplified?
  22. Interesting that we're seeing this one first, I assumed we'd get a look at the first three sets to release before this one? Unless this one is actually also releasing alongside those. I guess the 2026 leaks have been weird in general though.
  23. I hadn't even considered that, but that is a good point. That actually brings up some interesting questions regarding what's "meant" to be used together. I'm sure basically any kid doesn't care that much, it's only natural to mix all sorts of stuff together during play, all the more so with Lego in particular. But on the other hand, what kind of interactions would even occur if you used an OT set with a set from another era? I guess if it's just more generic stuff like laser and explosion noises then it's fine, but I think it'd be fun to see some stuff more specific to those weird interactions.
  24. Oh wow that's so clever, I never knew that was possible.
  25. Woah this is awesome. Love the way you built the armor with the chi in the center, is it able to hold the ball in there or does it pop out depending on the angle?
