  1. Having them available online or through Pick-a-Brick would be even better. So anyways, is there actually a Build a Minifigure online thing? I saw some people talking about it before but was never aware if this was actually a thing or not.
  2. The Throneroom in Ed Boxer's moc looks pretty awesome. I might consider putting in a throne, probably in place of the top 'armory'. Tiled floors make quite a bit of difference too. I'm also starting to think of ways to light up this set now, and where to hide the lights. The Blacksmith looks great with some LED's inside.
  3. Wait, what am I missing here? Those Forestmen parts are actually going up on sale on PAB tonight?
  4. That still wouldn't make sense for the Creator 3-in-1 Castle and Pirate sets not counting it while this Castle set does. It really doesn't follow any pattern at all, at least one that we're aware of.
  5. It's completely inconsistent, and they don't even budget skeletons in as minifigs for most products. The Monkie Kid polybag even has 2 skeletons in it!
  6. Love it! Great greebling for the road. I'm a sucker for ancient Arabian/Persian settings, it's a shame they never formally made a theme out of it. The best you can get for the helmets is out of the Prince of Persia sets.
  7. 22 minifigures – Bring stories of the queen, knights, archers, wizard and the forest people to life with the collection of minifigures and accessories redesigned especially for this set And if you do a full count, there's only 22 if you count the Skeleton. It's even displayed alongside the minis in their own promotional shot.
  8. I agree. I would have preferred not having a Majisto in there if they couldn't do it right anyways. It's kind of weird that they even have him in the set, and I don't find it to be a very good easter egg. I am also surprised they are counting the Skeleton as a minifigure. This should really be a 21 minifigure set, not 22. I would rather they took those two out and give us another Horse.
  9. I checked my own figure, and it doesn't seem like a lot of helmets fit very well. The Ninjago Samurai-style helmets are the best bet really, namely this one I tried the other style helmets, but they don't fit as well on the weird shape skull. I also was thinking about the Trolls and I think the Costume Ape minifig might work for them. Just replace the torso with something furrier looking. Maybe with this Torso: Just a shame there is no small Acorn piece.
  10. That's the shield I'm using for my Lion Knight Prince right now. I'm wondering since they have the new logos for BF and LK if they'll ever go back to the old ones for prints like these in the future, or if they're just gonna stick to the new logos. We already have new Falcon prints on torsos, so it really makes me wonder what they may plan moving forward. I have a soft spot for that specific lion emblem.
  11. I had a similar vote. Forestmen, Black Knights, Wolfpack. Forestmen and Black Knights are what I own most of, and I still think Black Knights have the best castles in the line. Wolfpack was definitely not one I favoured above others like Dragon Knights, Royal Knights or even Fright Knights, but I wanted to boost them up because they deserve more content.
  12. It looks like it's just a small storage area. There's a barrel with what looks to be a long light tan stick in it. Is it supposed to be bread? Or maybe it's supposed to be wheat, for the mill? Hard to tell really, it's just a cream colored stick from what I see.
  13. I really like those helms. I use them for most of my Fright Knight/Skeleton army.
  14. I might just have to check my stores again then. Not as easy as it once was though since each Lego store is like an hour drive away, and gas prices are quite ridiculous right now. I can only really manage to go check em out if we're going for a major grocery run.
  15. I still have to get my hands on the new BF torsos. I was a bit late to the party on that one, and when I went to the Lego store the BAM tower didn't have any of them. Oddly, they had some torsos that had the Kingdoms style Lion head emblem. Same with any of the new Wizard parts, I didn't see any there. I'm just happy they're providing alternatives, even if it's non-standard to any major sets. I have 4 of the Lion/Key shields now too, so they'll go great with any new Lion knights I make, and I'll probably be using this shield for the Queen.
  16. It's hard to get a sizeable amount of black bullet helms today. I was lucky to even get a couple from Facebook Marketplace purchases, and they're too rare on Bricklink to be worth paying individual shipments for.
  17. It's probably because they're bringing back Lion Knights and Forestmen at the same time. If they were rolling out each faction's return individually, I can see them having more resources to diversify prints. But since they're doing a bunch of different subthemes all at once, they're a bit more limited. We even see them reusing a lot of the prints, like the Troubadour on the kid or the lack of print on Majisto. I do have to say I would have liked to see an updated return of the Scale Mail armor; something generic that it could fit for any faction.
  18. How are the dungeon doors set at an angle like that? Is that a special diagonal doorway piece?
  19. Joan of Arc was never a knight, so again the example is pointless. Anyways, a mod already stated that this topic is not savvy, so I'll refrain from digging any deeper than we already have. I said what I needed to say, and I'll just leave it there for anyone who looks back on the comments to take as they will.
  20. As long as the main Yellow and Blue Lion shields are prints, that's all I really care about. Overall, I doubt they would make them stickers. How many sticker-based shields have there really been in history? I didn't even know it was a thing until I came to this thread really. I think one person mentioned one set that had sticker shields, and that's all I've been aware of. I've seen shield collectors on Reddit, and there's a ton of printed shields out there which only leads me to expect the new shields to be prints in this one. I don't really know why they would default to Stickers at all, other than having used them in the promo pics.
  21. I think you should take a look at the video interview with the designers on the castle, I linked it previously in the Lion Knights Castle thread. It's on the "Assembled" youtube channel. It gives a lot more insight into the design process of the castle, and while it looks like it's based on Lion King's Castle the designers actually took more inspiration from Black Knight's Castle while still keeping the dollhouse features of some of the other Castle sets. The design of this new Castle actually has many new playfeatures and secrets which simply weren't available in other castles, so I don't think it's a fair comparison to just say it's like an upgraded Creator Castle any more than you could say that Barracuda Bay was just an upgraded 3-in-1 Pirate ship. The new castle has plenty of rooms which simply don't exist in the Creator castle or any previous Lego Castle for that matter, it has a stable that you can put a horse in, it has a working waterwheel that works with the mill, and it has hidden sections and secret entrances where the Forestmen hide. Even the little bridge section they designed when the castle folds out is a really neat feature that you wouldn't be possible on a Creator 3-in-1. I think the criticisms of it being basic and blocky are fair, I just think it deserves more credit for having more features built in than might be observed through the promotional pictures alone.
  22. I think it's still reasonable to believe a Queen could have an elite, all-female "Queensguard" protecting her. They would be able to be with her wherever she goes, when she's changing armor, in her private chambers etc. Considering historically there were literally no female Knights who were formally part of the militaristic order, we're already talking about the existence of any female knight already suspending disbelief, and most people are actually okay with the idea of female knights. Even Joan of Arc was not a knight, but most people would associate her as having been one. Historically there were female soldiers, and there were female nobles who had the title of 'Knight' in a non-militaristic role, but no actual female Knights in armor who rode into battle alongside men. So it really depends on what you're choosing to suspend your disbelief on. To me it's no different than your wizard and dragons comparison; does it matter whether it's one dragon or twenty? It's all about whether you're willing to regard the unrealism as being reasonable. And for me personally, I think there's plenty of possible reasons for why a Queen would have female Knights protecting her. Maybe they're her fellow nobles that she went on adventures with. Maybe she hand-picked her handmaidens to be martially trained as elite bodyguards. Maybe the King is distrustful of her having male protectors having heard the tales of 'Lancelot and Gwynevere'. All it takes is a little imagination to fill in the gaps to make something unrealistic more believable.
  23. Very nice build! Do you happen to have any instructions for this moc?
