Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Who knew artists was just a substitute for ego." He chuckles, attempting to kid with the elf. "I am no stranger to brutal encounters on these streets." He unfurls his collar, showing a massive scar across his throat. As the actor is distracted with inspecting Althior's scar, Althior inspects the elf for any scratches and/or cuts near the bruises. He begins to speak again, "What of the crying person? Ever manage to catch a glimpse of them?" -
GA's head seems a bit weird to me, but nothing too major. Honestly, the more I look at GL the more perfect he seems to me. Definitely really impressed with the quality of these new figures.

Bit generic for my tastes, but not a terrible title. I'm sure it'll make sense with the content of the film. Then again, without seeing the films ESB and RotJ can seem like silly titles.

Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well I'll be damned," Althior chuckles, "Tell me then, what was it like? Hell, how are you not in the infirmary after that throw? I've sparred with a few Ogres in my day, and let me tell you, those buggers are strong. But you have no idea what it actually was? Besides the fact that it was larger than an Ogre?" -

Althior leans in towards the Elf. "Surely you can't be serious! Sure it's not the ale talking?" He leans back on his chair, taking another sip of his drink. "So what of it? Can't just drop that bomb on someone without any explanation," -

"Bric'lin you say? Wouldn't happen to know Mr Stirlance, would you? He was a former employer of mine. I've gotta say, you're getting a much bigger crowd around these parts." "Torn apart you say? I've heard a lot about recent attacks around the city. Muggings are no stranger to Eubric, but not often do the Wolfgang come around and cut people apart. Hell, some people have been saying it's a full grown monster. You don't believe that, do you? Some would have seen it by now if it were," -
Pixar Animation Studios and Films Discussion

I do not like the idea of a fourth installment at all. Toy Story 3 had a wonderful and ingenious ending, and I found all of the Toy Story shorts and specials very nice and low key. A fourth installment seem completely unnecessary to me. Here's hoping they can make it work, otherwise...- 279 replies

Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior makes his way to the table with Mando after stopping at the bar first. "Frozen Gumdrop if you would be so kind, ma'am. Put it on Mando's tab." He works his way back to Mando's table. "How'd you come by this place? I must say the atmosphere is, well, rather odd. Must be relatively new." He glances to the dancing elf before returning his gaze to Mando. "How long have you been working in the acting business? Must have had some weird experiences in your profession. I once had to clear a theatre of demonized rats. Let me tell you, it was not all that enjoyable. Some of the actors took break a leg a bit literally that night, I must say," -

"Fine by me," Althior says. "Now where can we go to talk, Mando? I believe we should discuss a few things," He winks at the Actor, attempting to seem friendly, but merely comes off as awkward. Due to some confusion in the Marketplace Thread, I updated my stats in the stats thread. Basically just add 140 Gold and take away the Robe of the Elven Necromancer and the Rat Queen's Hide. -
Based on the pictures, I don't think they're actually supposed to be Dark Red. That being said, I wish they were Dark Red. Really makes it seem crisper, IMO.

That is an excellent interpretation of Dale. I'd definitely like to try my hand at something like that.

Adventurers Figure Refresh: The Good Guys
K-Nut replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Really nice! I've always had a great fondness for the original Adventurers lines, and it's very nice to see they're not forgotten. All of the figs look very nice! I really like that you didn't really mess with their faces a lot (at least JT, Pippin, and Doc). Their new appearances look very similar to their original ones which I find terrific. My only qualm with it is JT's new hat. Nothing can replace his original hat, IMHO. Overall very, very well done.- 10 replies

I've been in the on-again-off-again process of reconstructing the Arena Rules to fit a new system. The WP-only system we came up with never seemed to work for me, especially with the effects like badly poisoned added in. 10x HP seems like it would work though.

I'll tell you, this last phase of #102 has been such an enjoyable read. I don't remember the last time I've been this interested in a quest that I haven't been on. I'm super interested to see how this entire arc comes to an end. Though yes, running that battle has to be a real pain in the megablocks.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
K-Nut replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice looking list. A few repeat characters (Another Alien, Space Trooper, and Samurai) but overall it has the potential to be a good series. Egyptian Warrior and Snake Charmer seem to be the standout ideas for me. Definitely will pick up a few from this series. -
Really liking Bullock and Sabertooth, salchemist! Nice use of the TMNT figure. Don't know what it is, but I really like that Falcon combo you've got going there autorazr. Makes it look more grounded.

We had some of the new figures from the set showing up on ebay if I recall, but that may have been it. Still, it was confirmation of another set. I'm just trying to point out how late we can get some pictures.

Althior hands the Cyclops 10 gold. "Better be worth it," -
Still Fourth of November here. He'll get it up today or tomorrow. Just be patient.

DGB might not be the most accurate set design wise, but it's a very nice play set/facade when combine with the other two sets. That's really the only reason I even bothered with the $20 one last year. Not really. I've had figures I've barely touched but still had large cracks in them.

Back in 2012, I think we got the first pictures of the Funhouse, what, two weeks before it was released? Hopefully we'll get pics of it sooner, but I'm thinking it's definitely plausible for them to come that close to the release (which is still not known to us).

I've always wanted Althior to be really involved with the Ziegfrieds, but there isn't much about them these days. Hell, to get to Necro I basically had to sabotage Quest #33. Hopefully with Blutos return, we can get some more action. Though it seems a huge part about the Ziegfrieds and the Guild of Invision has always been that they're very secretive in what they do. After these Bonaparte and Ji Pei quests, I'm hoping we can explore some of their feud, seeing as we haven't gotten all that much of it yet.

Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Althior rolls his eyes, "Just give him what he wants, I'm tired of all this bickering. Have you got anything on you, Mando? Or must one of us cover you?" -
Agreed. It helps with the whole battle feel of the set, but I would have much preferred a larger Dale structure. For what it is, though, I feel that it's pretty well designed.

This has happened to me lots of times with varying themes (I've had about seven or eight Superhero figs crack along the torso. I have a Bo5A Bard torso on the way since my brand new one came cracked. My AUJ Thorin, Aragorn, and Legolas all cracked within a few months after getting them. I've managed to replace them all, though it took a little work.
