Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Who knows. The man's become so pigheaded he'll leave on his own agenda whenever the hell he wants." He steps away from the manhole, which is now exuding noxious fumes, "Hell, I don't have any idea what either of them are looking for down there," He surveys the surrounding area before looking back to the Detective. "So, would there be anyone back at the Barracks who could identify this glass? Anyone specializing in forensics perhaps?" -
Only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Commander Wolfe head from The Clone Wars.

Finally got around to watching the film Stripes. Honestly, words cannot describe this film. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good watch.

I must say, Gali seems to be the simplest of the new Toa, which is absolutely wonderful. In fact, all of the smaller Toa seem much better as a group than the larger Toa (who are still great). I also think that Gali has the best accessories of the Toa. They all fit with her design so subtly; much more so than those of the other Toa (especially the huge, imposing designs of Tahu, Kopaka, and Onua especially). To me, she seems to be the best designed Toa with these new pics. The design really reflects the characterization of Gali. I'm very impressed with the various designs of these new sets.

"I say we head back to the gardens. The incident there was recent enough that there may still be some evidence we overlooked, especially since we didn't spend much time there," -

"Private, you didn't keep any of the glass, did you? If we can match the labels, we may have some correlation between the incidents. We could go back and check the hanging gardens and/or the alley behind the theater. Or perhaps Mr Mando may recognize it?" -
Definitely gonna make a few purchases once I get back from Dain and Fabian.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
K-Nut replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
No lies, this might be my favorite modular. I love how different the two buildings are in design, and it makes the whole layout seem to be more of a city than before. First day buy for sure. -

Althior looks around "Would it be possible to see where this scent leads, Master Carvenhall? Or would it be too old?" Althior peers into the window. -
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
K-Nut replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
There's definitely a substantial number of characters missing (I'm truly shocked that there's no Darkseid ), but I think what we got is enough. I mean, if I can get Duck Dodgers and Kilowag playing together, I'm happy I absolutely love all of the Lantern Worlds and different environments. I spent all day today going through story mode (26.7% done!), and I'm very surprised by the quality of that as well. Definitely looking forward to unlocking all the collectibles next! -
Hey, speak for yourself.

Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces

Althior whispers to Hoke, "Mando is probably our best witness. He's already maimed as is and we can't afford to lose him. Did you find the girl? I recall there being a witness here too," He looks back and shrugs, "He seems pretty out of it too. He'll just be holding us back," "He's drunk? Wonder who's fault that is..." -
Both designs have their pros and cons. If it were up to me, I'd use the TLG Plastic Man with Christo's face. PM's man just seems a bit, well, scrunched to me. The grin on Christo's seems better too, IMO. I don't think TLG's decision had anything to do with Classic PM being inappropriate. I'm guessing they just wanted a New 52ish design, which just comes down to personal preference.

I don't recall Altair being in either 79 or 100. Goldraum was in both of those, which leaves him at around six I believe. Altair also sowed up in #63 I think. Altair: 3, 14, 33, 63, 65, 66 Goldraum: 3, 14, 33, 66, 79, 100

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
K-Nut replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'd really like a set akin to the Pet Shop. I've always liked that kind of modular set, and to see TLG bringing that design back into two very cool concepts (an old time barber shop and detective agency would complete my noir setup) is very interesting for me. Really looking forward to see what this thing looks like! -
I really, really like this pic here. It's really nice to see that even after three years of sets, the original DC wave still fits in nicely with the rest of the newer figs and sets. Can't wait to see what the new figs look like when they're paired up.
-
This version of Plastic Man looks a lot like something we'd see in the New 52 continuity, much like the rendition of Bats, GA, and WW we're getting (and how MM looked with the S@H bonus). There's a few exceptions like Captain Cold, but we're seeing mainly New 52 comic based figures. No, this isn't his New 52 outfit (I'm not even sure he's appeared since the reboot), but he fits in nicely with the New 52 figs.

I can get that. It's a little bit darker, but not too noticeable to me. I like mine as is, but I'd like to see what it looked like if the hip piece were switched out for red or dark red hips. Might make him look a little better, like how GA's hip piece doesn't match with his torso print.
-
Phoenix essences kill undead I believe. Potions, Grand Potions, and healing all damage them too. I don't think Remedies do anything.
-
I've always liked the pants look on WW. If anything, I'll probably change out the silver trim for the gold hair and torso from 2012. Looks like it won't make that big of a difference for me. Managed to pick up my Plastic Man figure today. Absolutely loving the leg details. Very much akin to how the 2012 WW figure worked. Wished we could've gotten GL/Sinestro's leg prints to look like it. They're still very cool, but I do like the rap around.

I missed out last year, so I definitely need to get something done for this year. Thanks for hosting it again! Definitely starting the planning as soon as possible. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #116: The Tale of Two Faces
K-Nut replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Please, more watchmen here? Old Patricia's gone so paranoid she can't trust her own people to do her job," He chuckles "Tell me, sir, What is your stance on the Wolfgang? Just out of mere curiosity. I've heard people talk about their uprising and what-not. Don't really know what to think of it myself. Being a frequenter of this tavern, I don't know if you've heard anything about what they're up to," -
When you pick up the game. At least that's how it's been in my experience.
-
Seeing actual pictures of him as opposed to the box art, Kopaka may have topped Tahu for my favorite of this wave. I absolutely love the shoulder armor and color scheme of this guy. Not sure how I feel on the gear boxes these guys all have, though as long as they've improved upon the old gears they used to use, I'll be able to get past it. All in all, this is a very, very pleasing set for me. Definitely a Day One buy for me.

The Pirate Ship has some great figs, but for me, that's about it. The ship itself has always seemed very boring to me. As for GKB, I really, really like the design of it. I find it very detailed and much more playable than the ship. I think it looks really cool, especially when you have all the dwarves fighting around it in a display.
