  1. It has pin holes so definetely but I am glad it doesnt have green elements so its perfect addition to 2018-2020 Hogwarts sets
  2. Damn man I have exactly same ranking for new sets
  3. Yeah playsets are awesome and brickbuilt ones are easy pass thx to no almost minifigures Fawkes is not anniversary set so luckily no minifigure
  4. Unpopular opinion but that Flying lesson set is my 2nd favourite after Hogsmeade, great build which matches 2018-2020 style
  5. Mooooore mooooore! They could also leak that D2C set
  6. Also better quality Chess set picture leak and the chess pieces are brickbuilt
  7. I wouldnt say 2018-2020 had lacking interior. 2018 Great Hall had great interior compared to new one, only tower section was poor which is better in new set. Whomping Willow set had nice interior with Gryffindor common room and Snapes cabinet. Clock Tower had amazing hospital wing, DADA classroom and prefects bathroom. Astronomy Tower had maybe weakest interior but still very decent. So the only thing in these new sets which is better than average is Lockharts classroom and his cabinet. Forbidden Corridor has weak interior as well. I think its just these sets are new for us to see so everyone excited to see new interiors but in the end there arent any better that what we were used to.
  8. I already have a plan how to connect these to my 2018-2020 layout with minimum customization. I basicaly just swap big green parts for dark grey and let everything (bathroom, corridor, tower section from COS) connected as it is supposed to be. The only thing which will go to parts is new Great Hall building. I will place the Chamber of Secrets under Astronomy Tower as I already have my custom rock foundation for 2018 Great Hall. I cant wait to do it. I could also see Chamber of Secrets fit under Clock Tower but I have to see how wide (in studs) it is first.
  9. With the COS there are two part for me. Great Hall which has poor interior and tower section which has great interior with Lockharts cabinet and classroom. But yeah 2018 was superior in every way maybe except minifigures but those were also decent in that time.
  10. Omg so many face reuses in this wave, Mantis face for Rosmerta, Molly face for Mrs. Flume and that COS set has two minifigures with the same face...wtf Lego.
  11. Guys, they also say that collectible cards will be random. Does that mean that buying entire wave wont secure you all of them? I dont want to chase them on Ebay/BL for crazy prices... Is this the first time they used same face for two different characters in one set? Look at Ginny and that Ravenclaw student...
  12. These sets were never supposed to connect with 2018-2020 ones but you can still try it but it might look ugly.
  13. I am not, I still dont like outside build of those Hogwarts sets lol, but the interior and minifigs just make up for that :D Great Hall is still going for parts and the rest will be upgraded with grey roof parts.
  14. Okay so I have finally decided that I am buying that COS set but I will swap Great Hall for 2018 which is better from outside and also it has better interior.
  15. Besides it wouldnt make any sense to release just one small DH set this year with all anniversary ones.
  16. I will correct you a bit. First of all there are still both Daily Prophet photographer and Florean as exclusive characters in DA set. Secondly its true that we have/are getting cheaper but different versions of characters like Lockhart, Ginny, Molly, Fred and George but that doesnt mean these minifigures lost any value (in eyes of minifigure completionist like me) because their variants in DA are still exclusive. In the end it also wouldnt matter anyways because Diagon Alley set was never about great minifigures but mainly about that georgeous build which is the best thing about that set. Also I dont believe Harry from silencio suprise box will be in advent calendar, I know its been rumored by multiple leakers but I feel like Lego wouldnt do that. Madam Rosmerta, Sinestra, Mrs. and Mr. Flume - because I love obscure and rare characters and I am also looking forward to new Lockhart, Dumbledore and Cat Hermione. Honestly the minifigures for this wave are so great that I might buy all these sets even though I dont like most of them :D
  17. I dont know if some of you follow this guy on ig but damn his minifigure designs are pure perfection. This new Lupin warewolf is like a dream of every Lego HP collector. I wish Lego wiould make something like this in the future. I feel like the most of the people outside of this small community still expect DH sets, so imagine their disappointment once they see official reveal.
  18. I expected DH sets but if we got playsets from other movies and maybe one brickbuilt thing I wouldnt call the wave bad. So no, this wave isnt bad for me because I didnt expect it, its bad because I just dont like this kind of sets and the fact that there is nothing in august wave (except potential flying lesson) which I would be excited about makes me sad. Also I didnt say that sets are terrible (how could I if I havent seen them yet) but overall wave is terrible, because of selection. I think its something that Guyon said some time ago that this wave wave being disappointing has nothing to do with quality of sets but just for bad choice of them.
  19. I dont like non minifigure-scale sets with exception of buildings (like Hogwarts castle) or Star Wars ships so for me that wave is terrible no matter how the final product will look like. I am sure some people will like it but for me its a big no. Yeah I hope Marcos is one of those in Lego HP team who wasnt for this experimental stuff and we return back to normal next year.
  20. Oh great that would mean I would buy one of these august wave sets, cheapest one. If its indeed flying lesson set, then it very likely that it will release in june as other anniversary sets The thing is that they didnt even properly focused on Order of Phoenix. We got only two small sets, but there was more potential ideas like Grimmauld Place which would be perfect for $100 set or final battle in Ministry of Magic. From previous movies they missed very iconic Shrieking Shack and 2nd task. Even if they woudnt go straight for DH set this year there were so many things from other movies which would have been 100 times more loved by people than what we are getting now.
  21. Yeah we know what "brickbuilt" set means in this forum I wouldnt be mad if they included one or two sets like this (in middle price range) and rest would be just regular playsets but having entire wave filled with non minifigure scale sets and making D2C set collection of buildable whatever is just worst decision for this theme they could make.
  22. Well august wave is just terrible, period. Chess set is supposed to release in june so in august we are left only with brickbuild garbage...
  23. Gringotts bank is very iconic but I guess not for Lego
  24. For me it doesnt matter what objects will be in that set or how good they will look like. The idea of making brickbuilt objects for $250 equals a bad set for me (or bad decision rather) and I dont think final reveal of the set can change it.
  25. Have you not seen leaked prelim picture of Hogsmeade set?
