I agree that it would be disappointing if they skipped Deathly Hallows as it has some quite memorable scenes and great characters who could be made into minifigs but personaly I wouldnt complain if they delayed it for next year as there are many sets from previous movies which still need to be made. I think the biggest interest would be in Shrieking Shack, Durmstrang ship or even better would be remake of 2nd task in Black Lake, then we definetely need Ministry of Magic set from Order of the Phoenix and Inferi Lake from Half Blood Prince

I cant post pictures here to show you the difference but DA Malfoy has black robes same as Harry, Ron and Hermione but with Slytherin erb ofc and the book version of Malfoy has grey sweater

Malfoy from DA is still exclusive. The one from book set has completely different torso.

Right? Thats what I was saying here that I dont think people who enjoy some minifigs being exclusive (or rarer is better word I guess) should be judged over this and marked as bad greedy collectors who doesnt want kids or anyone else to be able to get those minifigures...

Thank you for this. I think you summarized pretty well what collecting is about and why its not bad if there is some exclusivity and that its just okay if that makes someone happy.

I think you missed a coversation where was said that the build is the most important thing but without good minifigures it wouldnt be that great and therefore they are also very important. I think that people who like some of minifigs staying exclusive should be respected and not marked as some selfish people who only care about owning sth that others do not bcs thats not true, everyone can buy those minifigures, even from BL for those who cant afford DA set, its just you wont find them in other sets.

Why do you think its so bad that he wants it to be exclusive? Does it make him greedy or selfish person? I think you just dont get what are we talking about. Its not about value in money at least not for me as I dont sell Lego but its something only collectors understand. It just makes happy to have rare exclusive minifigure in your collection and no it doesnt make you more than someone else and if you look at it that way then sth is really wrong.

Exactly and thats the reason why this minifigure should remain exclusive. Its very common character so everyone can get many variations of him for cheap prize. Some kid or regular fan doesnt give a damn about having every version of Harry so its not a problem that DA version stays exclusive to only one expansive set and on the other hand some hardcore collector who already owns the set is happy to have that special minifigure in his collection. Over all both sides of customers are pleased so everything is okay. Same with characters like Fred and George, we already have them from CMF so their DA versions can remain exclusive. Also we are getting new version of Lockhart and I am sure that Lucius will come as well in some of the Deathly Hallows sets. Then of course there are characters who will remain exclusive maybe forever bcs they are very obscure but those arent that interesting for most of the fans anyways.

I wont buy 400€ Diagon Alley just bcs of minifigures. The build is the most important and in case of DA its amazing but we shouldnt underestimate importance of having good minifigure selection and even some exclusive ones in sets like these. If you spend so much money for a large set its some kind of symbolic reward from Lego that they give you exclusive figure that you dont find anywhere else.

Benefit for Lego is that they force some people to buy set just to have that minifigure. I am not saying I would do it but there are many people that would buy set just for minifig they dont have. Just from marketing point of view if you make certain product more exclusive to others, more people will buy it.

SDCC minifgures are completely different story :DDD I get your point of view but as RODDY said, some minifigures or their special variants should remain exclusive to specific set and its nothing wrong with it as everyone can still get them, just not from multiple sets.

Thats exactly what I mean. Btw I would love to get even 3rd version of Lockhart in next CMF series in his salomon pink or blue outfit and with cornish pixie. He is one of my favorite characters and I like his robes in the movies.

I think both were kinda special bcs that Harry minifig is very much related to that sign as he had that outfit when Hagrit said that line. Anyways I really wonder if these leaked minifigs confirm Diagon Alley expansion or are from Hogwarts Castle set.

Well with silencio Harry minifig is quite different story. I think the problem there is that Lego itself marked that minifigure as super special and exclusive by putting it in extra box and not including it minifigure list for that set. I dont know if you get what I mean but if Lego presents you some minifig as very special suprise then they shouldnt put it somewhere else. Otherwise I dont really care if you can get certain minifigs in multiple sets if its justified. I didnt have any problem with reuse of trio from Clock Tower in latest advent calendar.

I am not that kind of a person... maybe it looked like that. I just dont think its a good choice to reuse that torso for hogwarts uniforms bcs they wore it only in Diagon Alley and thats why it should stay exclusive to that set. I woundnt mind if that minifig appeared in 5€ polybag tho... If we are talking about august sets what if these 2 are actually from Diagon Alley expansion/Gringotts set? That way I could understand use of the same torso on Harry and random wizard figure.

Well actually yes I did bcs this kind of robes they had only in Diagon Alley scene so it kinda sucks we didnt get new gryffindor uniform.

So they are reusing minifigs from already poor Diagon Alley minifigs selection making them less exclusive.

It has red hat hair combo but the torso and face doesnt look like anything from HP. Could it be parts from other minifigs combined? Bcs if this is legit minifig from one of leaked sets I dont really know who could it be.

Yeah thats exactly what I am doing right now. I have all sets from 2018-2020 but soon after those book sets came out I decided that I just dont need them so I am waiting until the price of all 4 professors will drop a little so I can pick just these minifigures which will save me money and space. If Lego HP starts to do remakes or some sets which I wont find that appealing then I will just grab the minifigs I want from BL.

As a huge lego HP fan I am so happy for these new sets and I cant wait to get them but at the same time I hope this theme will not go forever like Star Wars. I wish that we get like one more year of this theme and then it will end at least for few years. I dont want it to be next Star Wars where they start to do remakes over and over. Idk if that makes sense for you guys but this theme is something special and it would be a shame if it became generic and repetetive. Also my bugdet and mainly my free space will not handle new sets if this will go for like 5 more years :DDD
