Cant disagree with that. We indeed created the hype around it and it would have been a different situation if we immediately got information about contest so we wouldnt even have a chance to speculate about it being a new set :D ... doesnt change the fact that some of us are disappointed tho but I am happy for some talented moc builders to get a chance to win sets which they probably already have but still.

I dont think that perfect Gringotts needs the underground, the main building is the most important. I could see them doing one room with vault but thats it. I think people are creating unrealistic expectations from this set and setting themselves for disappointment like with 2021 wave. Vault from first movie, underground with tracks, Horcrux vault and Dragon all in one set... thats just not gonna happen in my opinion. Although I would love to get Ironbelly dragon I dont really care if Gringotts will be PS or DH based. All I want from this set is to have detailed design and to fit with the scale of Diagon Alley set, which means slightly bigger than other buildings but also not oversized.

Awww thx man but no chance for me lol. My model is just offcial sets combined in a custom way, the only thing I have built is rock base, viaduct and wooden bridge. But Gringotts creator definetely deserves it and I could name like dozens of great Lego HP moc builders who would deserve it too but tbh we all would be much happier if there was no contest and Lego would just give us what we want - D2C Gringotts set :D Yeah it is frustrating but I gues we kinda got used to this

In our deepest dreams lol. I am disappointed but not suprised as we are used to these kinds of big teases which end up meh.

Yeah if that was true why would they try so hard to keep this one in secret while other D2C sets leaked like ages ago. At least Lego 100% knows what most of their community want... its only a matter of time until they eventually give it to us.

Its funny to see the difference between us Eurobricks nerds and general Lego fans on Facebook. Someone shared this rumour in one of Lego HP groups and all comments immediately were Gringotts!!! Diagon Alley expansion!!! Another D2C set!! ... I kinda feel bad for them but a tiny bit of me has also little hope for something like that. Also one guy (not sure if legit) said in comments this: "Lego store didn’t tell me what it was but they told me it blows hedwig with potions out the water"

Because they didnt expect theme to be so successful so they planned it only for limited time. They likely realized that sets based on first movies are selling the best between the kids so they decided for reboot to keep milking it for longer time while also letting adult fans stay hungry because they still havent released the most wanted sets like Gringotts, Shrieking Shack, 2nd Task, Deathly Hallows sets etc. I wouldnt be suprised tbh. Lego often teases something big and it ends up meh…

This was dicussed here numerous times and it was also confirmed by designers that 2018-2020 style was only meant for short period of time and now they went with soft restart. Anyways this rumour got me hyped again but at the same time I feel like its not gonna be announcement of new big set as we would have already knew that by now. Lego HP videogame would make me happy too. Its inevitable :D

"The middle section has a tower, on the outside of which - in keeping with the time-turner theme - there is apparently a clock that can be turned using cogwheels." - Yeah it sounds like this will look nothing like 2019 Clock Tower and it will rather look quite random which is a good thing for me as I will be able to use it as just generic Hogwarts building in my layout ... as most of the 2021 sets lol :D

Yeah I forgot about those but he was mainly talking about Hogwarts buildings which I used only one of each :D

They are bland boxes and thats why they need to be connected with older sets to look more natural. I am not a fan of green roofs either but that problem can be easily solved :D

Thank you very much, I really appretiate your opinion on my model. I used all 2018-2021 Hogwarts sets and used every set just once... well I put there one additional greenhouse and some more trees but that is just something extra for me. With the piece count for custom things I added, I am not sure now because rock base is not finished yet but the big rock pieces alone cost around 100 dollars from BL although the rest shouldnt be expensive as I used pretty common pieces. Here you can see entire model from above. 2021 Great Hall is connected to Bell Towers MOC by JL Bricks (you wouldnt even notice as it is so small compared to 2018 one), Lockharts classroom and cabinet are connected to Astronomy Tower, Fluffy set and Chamber of Secrets are next to Grand Staircase Tower, polyjuice potion mistake is connected to Clock Tower and so on.... I started with opened version on the back to have access to interior but I didnt like it that much because I rather wanted it to be movie accurate and displayable from multiple angles. Anyways good luck with figuring out your Hogwarts layout! :)

Just swap the roof for grey and its okay. People including me were whining that these new sets dont match with the 2018-2020 line when in reality all you have to do is to play with it a bit and you will get complete looking castle.

And yeah, my main goal was exactly to avoid MOCing official sets and instead use them in the best way possible while also adding something extra which still fits to it. I have never done MOC building before (this is basically my first custom creation) so I dont have any experience with selling instructions but one day I might make instructions to this and just share them. Also Bell Towers building is not my own MOC, I bought the design for it from JL.Bricks who is simply one of the best Lego HP MOC builders.

Hi guys, I present you newest version of my Hogwarts layout I have been working on this year. It started as custom arrangement of all 2018-2021 sets but now I started adding my own creations like viaduct, wooden bridge and rock foundation etc. so its actually a MOC. I mean I dont really care but those minifigs being worthless is just a fact :D I am okay with them not being exclusive because if they were they would be expansive to get from BL.

Yeah they are pretty much worthless. I think I even have duplicates of those versions of Harry and Ron from older sets.

Will it be avaible in Europe? Or US only? I hope I will be able to buy it from Slovak Lego store because if not I can already see it being sold on Ebay/BrickLink for like 50 bucks like that Monster Book which was just crazy to me.

Yes, you make account on rebrickable, buy instructions to model and thats it. If you want to know price of the pieces to make some model (and you have account on Bricklink) you can simply just click on add to partlist (or sth like that) and it will connect with Bricklink site where you can look at how much those parts cost and buy them.

Thx and thats my point, I am not saying we wont get ever Bell Towers set but at the same time I think that after 2020 Astronomy Tower there was perfect opportunity to release Bell Towers set in the same style which would finish the castle and give us complete silhouette of Hogwarts. 2021 sets are okay and they have some great interiors but they are not accurate representation of buildings at all hence why I am using these sets as rather generic buildings to fill space between main dominants of Hogwarts castle. Thank you, I havent built this in reality yet but once I get all sets I am currently missing I will make this castle reality. Also I agree with you about MOC builders. I have seen so amazing Lego HP MOCs on Rebrickable that some of them even look like official sets by Lego. There are some really beautiful Diagon Alley expansion buildings which I would love to get if we dont get anything from Lego next year.

I have connected this amazing Bell Towers MOC by talented JL.Bricks to my Hogwarts layout. Looking at how well it looks with Astronomy Tower I must say that not making this set after succes of 2018-2020 Hogwarts line was wasted opportunity for this theme. Now the castle looks almost accurate with exception of Clock Tower which should face the opposite direction to Great Hall but that variant wouldnt do it justice as I want Clock Tower to be seen. Huge challenge is ahead of me which is how am I gonna connect rumored Hospital Wing to this... I will try to figure it out once we get official pictures.
