Have you not seen leaked prelim picture of Hogsmeade set?

Yeah I dont think collection of buildable objects romour is true even though Falconfan and orhers have shared it. It just seems very dumb to go from huge Hogwarts castle and georgeous Diagon Alley to something as boring as buildable items ScarletPatronus has amazing Hogsmeade MOCs. I might buy some of them to complete Hogsmeade anniversary set.

We havent talked about Hogwarts MOCs. JL Bricks mainly focuses on DA but he also did Azkaban, Grimauld Place, Kings Cross, Hogsmeade station and more. I dont know what Hogwarts MOCs are you talking about but I saw some on Rebrickable.

I know what do you mean, most of these great MOCs are made by JL Bricks but the problem is even though they are perfect they are very expansive to make because you have to buy those parts from BL which is almost always more expansive than buying set from Lego. My favorite of these MOCs is Leaky Cauldron, I really wish Lego will make something like this.

Perfect in a way of saving money but it doesnt satisfy my high expectations for this year. Its bittersweet feeling when you are happy to save so much money but at the same time there is nothing for you to buy from new august sets. I wish there were more sets like Hogsmeade, meaning locations which we havent got as a set yet with a build quality and movie accuracy matching 2018-2020 sets.

I still hope in this case they will be wrong, which doesnt mean I dont trust them its just that I hope that maybe they misunderstood information from their source or maybe their source did. They all (including Falconfan) thought that D2C is chess set, so they can be wrong sometimes too.

DA Lockahart will stay exclusive, the one from COS is rumored to have orange robes.

Thats why I think that rumour is not right...

cmf6169 who is very reliable leaker said in his ig story that he doesnt believe D2C leak is true with ;) emoji. So there is still little hope maybe... He wont sell for $50 on BL... you can buy Lockhart from $400 DA set for about $25 so I doubt someone would be so crazy to sell Dumbledore minifigure from $250 set for $50.

Oh great so basically full wave of brickbuild sets since chess set is releasing in june. I wanna see how many kids will buy brickbuild objects for $250 lol... Nobody is gonna convince me that this wave (august one) wont flop. June wave will be succesful I think, because there is a lot of nostalgia for adults combined with great minifigures and decent playsets for kids to play.

Yeah same, I dont really care about having every set but I must have every minifigure. But those which are not exclusive (meaning that they dont contain at least one exclusive part) like mbom Draco dont bother me. So I will have easy time skipping all these brickbuild sets and buying just minifigures from BL.

Well I am pretty angry by the fact that I wanted at least one minifugure scale building (Hogwarts, DA expansion, Grimmauld Place, just whatever) in this wave but all we got is 3 brickbuild sets, one small Quidditch related set and Chess set which looks pretty (and its actually from june wave) but its nothing for me really. I get that they want to bring new customers to this theme but at the same time I fell like they will lose some with these sets. So only reason why I am not completely mad about this is that I am trying to see positive site of it which is that I am gonna skip almost entire august wave (except the smallest set maybe) and save a ton of money.

Its okay, we are used to people mistaking us for Slovenia or Czech Republic :D Yeah its kinda painful for me because I have been used to very good sets from this theme so far.

Okay so what did I miss? I guess D2C set is brickbuild trash right? So it is safe to say that august wave is already the worst wave in this theme and Chess set will not save it for me. Dammmn what are they smoking in Lego HP team to waste D2C set for some buildable objects nobody cares about. My disappointment is immesurable and my day is ruined...

I mean it looks great but it’s not for everyone. I am looking forward to that D2C set so I hope it wont disappoint me.

I hope these minifigures will be cheap on BL because I have nowhere to put this chess into my Hogwarts display. I can see it only as standalone display.

Yeah I hope they will return to 2018-2020 style, although there isnt much to add to current layout. Maybe just Long Gallery with the Bell Towers and Owlery tower. Other parts of Hogwarts like viaduct, courtyards, boat house wouldnt work as standalone sets and it woudnt be possible to connect them to existing sets without customizations.

Oh okay then it makes sense I guess. Its just that I wanted to see new Lockhart minifigure leak but it looks like we get everything once official pictures show up. Also Marvel fans must have nerdgasm now as they are getting OG Iron Man mould return in new minifigure, which is really interesting because I dont remember when Lego created new mould for certain character in licenced theme and after few sets they returned to older mould.

If some people have already seen official pictures of the sets than I dont understand why we are not getting new minifigures leaks anymore.

I mean yes, Grindotts is like 100 % to come at some point but judging from little hints and statements we have been given in this thread its not gonna be this year. I will take either Diagon Alley expansion with Leaky Cauldron, Borgin and Burkes or huge Hogwarts expansion (in 2018-2020 style tho). Basically anything which is in minifigure scale wont disappoint me....

The only thing in these june Hogwarts sets that is somehow screen accurate is Great Hall building, everything else is just random.

No you are not. Hogsmeade is like something completely standalone in my eyes almost as if it was from 2018-2020 line. The minifigures in these sets are one of the best I have seen (in terms of their selection) but the Hogwarts building are just lacking details and are too blocky so this wave is really bittersweet for me. I am not excited about their builds but I will try to connect Forbidden Corridor and Bathroom set to 2018-2020 layout but COS will definetly go for parts because there is no way I can use it for my display, well maybe except its rock foundation.
