  1. Based on its price? Well $250 D2C set is not something I would call expansion but whatever....$70 Whomping willow set is something I imagine under expansion :D Do you have some actual sources for this or its just your theory?
  2. Well I hope soon we get some pictures leaked and we find out or at least we get some more detailed descriptions
  3. Does it change anything about that statement? Because back then it souded kinda crazy to me that huge $250 set would connect to much smaller anniversary sets, but now when we know its just $70 set its more realistic. Therefore I warned these guys who are doing their math on how big chess board is gonna be and how we get all the figures to play chess that there is a chance it might not happen.
  4. I think that Falconfan suggested it but if you have some more information feel free to correct it Anyways I am not really interested in this set whatever its going to be playable chess or Hogwarts playset based on chess scene because in terms of minifigures it really doesnt have much to offer besides trio
  5. And I dont know why people are so sure its going to be fully playable chess. If its supposed to be able to connect with other Hogwarts sets then dont expect to get full chess board because the scale of other sets just doesnt allow it. I am sure there are a lot of people who would lose their interest if it was just a chess board rather than playset based on that scene.
  6. Man, I dont really care about these new style Hogwarts buildings anyways, I am just saying that it might not be what you imagine as chess set Yeah this sums up my expectation what this is going to be
  7. You guys are really expecting to get full chess board? I think there is a good chance that its going to be just a regular playset with some chess elements to recreate the scene but it will mostly be another building to fit with other Hogwarts sets from this wave so maybe be prepared for that or you might be disappointed.
  8. Wow, what a shocking reveal
  9. I wonder when we will find out. Lego wont be able to hold this secret for too long :D
  10. This is exactly what I said in previous pages and I think it could work perfectly fine.
  11. Actually it makes more sense to release it now as those two sets will boost each other sales even more. Yes, its expansive but whoever could buy $400 DA set will 100% buy Gringotts or some DA expansion. If DA set was too expansive for someone than there is still a better chance that he will buy "cheaper" $250 set. This is pretty good argument for that
  12. I would hate the idea of it being random... I dont wanna see people doing crazy trades with them because some get more rare than others
  13. I undestrand but Ironbelly with Lestrange vault could also work as smaller $50-70 playset
  14. Usually in my country $70 is 60 euro
  15. Oh okay now I understand what you were saying, sry
  16. Because $250 for one building is just too much. Yes Gringotts is the tallest and the biggest building of DA but still it cant be massive compared to other buildings. Sure, we dont know the piece count but I expect it to be around 2700 so Gringotts can be made out of 1700 pieces and the rest can be used for one more building with same size as those from DA set.
  17. Maybe we will get suprised by Lego and we actually get DH based Gringotts this year even though other sets are based on first movies
  18. Golden Quirrel makes the most sense there Yeah so maybe D2C set is DA related but not Gringotts but some other buildings
  19. SS Gringotts with Leaky Cauldron > Large DH based Gringotts with dragon... at least for me
  20. Yes ofc and we are perfeclty fine with PS based Gringotts :D
  21. Well I didnt read everything so I might missed something but I thought that even Falconfan and Guyuon dont know what D2C set is
  22. But they indeed dont know anything about D2C set (nothing more that we do) because they thought its chess but its actually something completely unknown
  23. When I read these ideas it kind of makes me even more confident that it could be Gringotts after all. Ministry of Magic is very weird undergroud place which cannot be made into compact displayable building. Azkaban is nice but it would be very boring in terms of minifigures (just bunch of Dementors and Bellatrix I guess?), build and interior as well. Grimmaud Place is a good one but it would work better in smaller price range. Qudditch world cup could work, but only in microscale because that thing is massive but also not so recognizable for fans. King Cross is something which I cant imagine kids buying if there is no train but I agree that it would be great display set. So in the end the best option in terms of recognizability, displayability, minifigure options, source material etc. is still Gringotts.
  24. I just dont understand why so many people think its a problem to release Gringotts now when DA is still out. If someone has money to buy DA, he will buy Gringotts too and if he doesnt, than it doesnt matter. Gringotts can work as standalone set which doesnt need any additional buildings to make it work... same with DA.
  25. Yeah some guy was complaining about Brick Clicker a page back
