Yeah I get it but at least one of these could be something new, some decent playset which is also not a remake of something from past 3 years.

Yeah but if I would watch LOTR it would be extended edition so I would missed the reveal :DDD Oh please no more moments sets... at least not as full wave. Just give us Shrieking Shack, troll in the bathroom or 2nd Task playset, any of those would make me very happy.

Does this mean like winter 2021 or January/February 2022? Either way if another wave is coming in less than a half year we should already start getting some leaks like set numbers and prices. I cant wait, hopefully next wave will focus more on other movies than SS an CoS... ofc I dont expect Deathly Hallows sets anymore.

Their comment on Deathly Hallows movies is the most stupid thing I have heard from the Lego in past few years. How can be someone that naive and think that kids only watched first 2 movies? How is that even possible? If someone is a fan then its like 99% chance he watched all HP movies. Also their pathetic argument about DH being too dark like cmon you made Rise of Voldermort or Duel on Mustafar set so stop with this BS. As Guyon said I find all this "anniversary stuff" only an excuse to make more sets based on first movies. I really hope they read comments of fan community and are thinking "uhmm maybe we should have made one or two waves based on DH movies so we will do one next year" or more likely they are like "Look at all this money theme is making, anniversary wave is absolute succes so lets make sets based on first movies for like another year or two" ....

He would be probably same size as Hungarian Horntail but hopefully with better build and more accurate head mold.

Why it wouldnt work? DA scale is quite huge, sure not as much as some oversized Gringotts mocs I have seen but I am sure it would be no problem for Marcos and his team to make Gringotts building with about 1500-2000 pieces to fit with the rest of the buildings of Diagon Alley set. I mean yes, Gringotts bank is supposed to be the biggest building of Diagon Alley but it is not gonna be size of Daily Bugle or sth like that lol.

Well that is a shame, I would like to have at least one more year with that style of Hogwarts with sets like Bell Towers and Owlery. I hope we at least get remakes of some fan favourite og sets like Shrieking Shack and 2nd task.

This is the thing. I often see people cheering for some knockoff companies doing super detailed minifigures with molds and prints on every single part of the minifigure so it just doesnt even look like Lego anymore. People forget that specially licenced Lego themes are so popular because they find the right balance between details, movie accuracy and simplicity. For me Lego minifirures are about simplicity, thats why they are so appealing to me. Like if I wanted super detailed figures I would buy something from Hasbro or Hot Toys.

So this is it for this year or is it possible that some other unexpected sets pop up out of nowhere at some point?

I can already see these 3 golden minifigures go for like 20+ bucks each on BL... I am gonna get them anyways but it will hurt my wallet, not so much as buying whole set tho :D

Yeah minifigures were quite weak in DA set but still it set the bar really high for other D2C HP sets which is why I am disappointed by this one

Its even worse than I thought. It is just big Hedwig standing on some random books and stuff, like what is the point of this set? I mean it looks nice but it is completely unnecessary set and waste of D2C spot which could have been something comparable to SW cantine or Marvels Daily Bugle.

Some designers seem to be pretty ignorant towards fans on social media because no matter where you read the comments, everywhere fans were speculating and wishing that Gringotts should come as next big set after Diagon Alley. They dont really need to get feedback messages on LEGO website, all they need is to actually care and sometimes look what Lego community talks about. Yes I know Lego hardcore fans like us are maybe like 1% of their total customers but I am sure even average customers would buy Gringotts like crazy...

I was disappointed at first too but once I started making this model I found myself liking these new Hogwarts sets. I would love if they make Bell Towers set because that is only major part of the castle which is missing. Some people argued that it has almost no screen time in the movies (mostly seen in CoS and POA) and therefore it is not recognizable for fans but I would say the same about Astronomy Tower which was present in HBP and majority of scenes were interior and not exterior shots.

Thx, yeah I tried to make it as movie accurate as possible so I decided to use 2021 Great Hall as Long Gallery because it is kinda similar. I also tried variant where I let 2021 Great Hall on top of the Chamber but it just didnt look too good because it was close to 2018 Great Hall which I wanted to stay dominant. Placing 2021 Great Hall on Chamber would make it taller than 2018 one and overshadow it so that is why I went this way. To render them I just use function in studio which creates render of your model. Also if some of you are fans of sand green or simply you dont want to change anything on these sets, here is sand green variant of my model:

Hi man, here you have some most recent variants of my models. I added Hagrids hut, Qudditch and Forbidden forest stuff. I hope one day I will be able to show you real version of this but it will take some time as I have just collected all 2018-2020 sets.

I mean are you even suprised after what we got last year? Sure, I dont know how it is gonna look like this year but just comparing modular DA set with buildable objects idea of this years D2C set is like comparing UCS R2-D2 with UCS Millenium Falcon lol. Minifigures can save this (kinda) for me but still I see it as wasted potential that they didnt countinue with modular buildings. And it wouldnt had to be another DA set, could be Grimmauld Place, Malfoy Mannor or Ministry of Magic...

For me it doesnt matter how good the set is gonna be because we know it wont be minifigure scale set and thats just no go for me. At this point I am only interested about minifigures because I like to collect them no matter which set they come from.
