    I’m hoping that with this release, someone can re-MOC the original family dinner to match this style, and become a complementary building to this one. He is quite prolific indeed, just like gabizon. He did an awesome Central Perk. But I feel that some character or feature from the original sets are lost in translation. I’m more a fan of Fanpeixi or Brickative.

    I already know I would pay more if it were a nice build with a good selection of minifigs. We'll have to see what they have in store for the X-Jet, hoping it is not another Hoopty.

    Some real-life museums. I think a more revolutionary idea was including the option for a double corner. This modular is really best displayed as a standalone. I don't like the idea of displaying modulars in a block at home. I don't have a museum area, too. LOL

    I doubt Lego would ever give us someone with that much curves with so little clothes! LOL Great stuff for custom-makers though.

    I love how they have the live fish on the side. Different people will think different reasons why it is there. LOL!!! I was hoping there would also be crabs, and that Lego will finally make a shrimp!!! How are the minifigs going to enjoy dim sum without prawns? LOL (I'm hungry now!)

    A couple of reflections on my part: -I think as some have pointed, it would probably have been better if the window frames would have also been white - it would help break up the olive green. -Some museums have their biggest pieces as the 'center piece'. I wonder if Lego considered having the dinosaur as you enter the building. -It would have been great if they had made the dome in trans-clear, similar to the German Reichstag. -I really think they should have placed some windows on the sides of the building. -The fences at the front are nice but I think it took a lot of the piece count.

    I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks the calendars are overpriced for all the junk it contains.

    Looking at the latest modular building, I think $300 for a modular X-Mansion might be a tight budget, given they still have licensing fees to think about, and the ambitious number of copyrighted characters they were proposing. They're probably gonna include another Wolverine...but perhaps a lot of these characters will be repeats.

    I’m pretty sure people will but 2 sets and combine them to make a modular.

    Love it, love it, love it!!! Can't wait for the rest of the series to leak! It won't take long til someone modularizes it on Rebrickable! Someone did that for the temple.

    @cebelicamya Shouldn't the sabertooth tiger be included there? And how about the mammoth? Or perhaps a separate list for prehistoric animals?

    I'm with you on that! However, without that ID, he will look like he just got off the expedition and would not look like he is the museum curator.

    I am wondering if certain hair molds make it difficult for lego to paint certain areas white? At any rate, I feel it is not uncommon for Lego to mess up certain details of minifigs. There were complaints after complaints against the Disney minifigs over on the other thread. Some trivial, some were matter-of-life-and-death. LOL Though people bought the figures/ sets anyway for lack of an alternative. I think Lego will get the hair right on a future Rogue minifig but they will botch the torso and/ or legs. LOL

    If they're gonna be in outfits that have never appeared in the movies (i.e., hypothetical holiday outfits), then I could not care less about them being minidolls. I won't buy them. But if Lego makes them customizable in regular form, then those Mirabel and human Ariel would be most welcome. Never understood why Lego has to dress all these SW, Marvel, etc. characters in ugly sweaters (that all the Lego ambassadors on YT, aka Lego apologists so fervently love). They ought to include parts to return them back into their regular outfits (provide alternate torsos, etc).

    True, true. But now that the cat is out of the bag...??? At the end of the day, Lego Ambassadors de-facto work for Lego. (I have stopped watching these influencer videos over a year ago - a lot of them are just Lego apologists.)

    The early December release is the elephant in the room and no one is acknowledging it. So there must be more to it than just 'an early release.' Yes, I agree with you and don't see a reason why they would have two actual modulars in a year or every year. Some series have set releases every two, so why twice a year and we have been getting complaints from people that sets are getting expensive. Anyhow, a modular-style build from another theme is more plausible.

    I would not be surprised if they did a panda after the bear mold, just with perhaps a different head? Cool if they did the panda sitting down. I'm interested if they will just reuse the dragon CMF mold or make an entirely new one for the CNY set!
