Those are very existential questions. Only wizard Mickey can perhaps summon the answers. Someone at Lego and/ or Disney is out of touch with the market out here.

Not to mention, LOTR battle packs will not only be popular amongst LOTR fans themselves, but also to minifig customs fans...imagine all the bespoke minifig parts that could be recolored but custom makers. LOL Kidding aside, I do think Lego would do well releasing as many sets as you say. And they can release many different small scenes from the six movies each year.

I am 110% with you on hoping to more Disney minifig sets!!! I think the Agrabah set was being aimed at both minifig and minidoll fans (and I would not be surprised if the Atlantis were, too). so they left out any fig. There's still that clamshell around and I can imagine Lego tryin to protect its investment on that set and would not make another Triton until after its retirement. I feel it would be a long while before an actual Triton minifig comes to light, but I hope I am wrong. For now, I have just made my own using the Ocean King CMF tail and headpiece + the Batman beach torso. And yes, it would be great to have small diorama sets with minifigs. But Lego being Lego would protect their minidoll line. Sigh. B&B has been missing for quite some time now. They were in the Brickheadz line a long time ago and has never made an appearance as minifigs. Perhaps on the CMF#4 in a year or two or however many! LOL If they even decide to do that. There was that big complaint about Sleeping Beauty being in a pink dress in the CMF and not in her original light blue. In my opinion, minifigs are mostly for AFOLs and Lego should make them in the attire and color of the original. They can dress her in pink for the minidolls. Ditto other characters. Lego likes to make Disney minidoll sets in their own non-classic story plot. Case in point, the new Princess Market set. What happened there? Were their own monarchies overthrown and they ran out of covid money that they are now peddling stuff in the market? LOL!

Now that you mention it, perhaps the female genie was a nod to I Dream of Jeannie.

They did not include any fig or dolls on that Agrabah, and I would not be surprised if that were the case with Atlantis. I would think that for them to do B&B in figs, it would have to be a large set? Yes! Hoping that would be the case! I keep hoping for figs only to be disappointed each time the release pics come out. Sigh. Hoping there would still be a minifig set for this one day. Gothel would perhaps feature well if they do another Villains set?

Honestly, when I saw the mushroom girl, I thought that she and the acorn boy, plus the CMF fairy from a while back (copycat Tinkerbelle) would go well together!!!

Meanwhile, Lego would rather make several sets for upcoming new/ untested movies (non-LOTR) rather than the classics (LOTR, or otherwise). When these movies flop, and Lego sets flop as well, Lego just says there is no market for it?

At this point in the history of mankind, I could not care less if Lego makes buildable turd for Disney sets as long as they give use much wanted and well-printed and accurate minifigs. Rapunzel and Flynn are already in the current Disney castle. Why not finally give us Belle and Beast?

I wonder if the Taxi promo will come back at some point? I missed out on this GWP - tower is not a priority purchase, and because I just moved, I spent a ton of money on furniture instead of Legos. LOL

Possible but at the rate that they are churning out sets, it will be years down the line. I missed out on the Orthanc set and I am just planning on bricklinking the non-exclusive/ non-rare pieces and substitute whatever for the rare items.

It takes a bit of elbow grease and metal polish. FYI, I also happen to collect monochrome minifigs and some of those are wiped off by resellers from existing minifigs. It is very doable - you just have to be patient. (I've tried Brasso as recommended over on the customization message boards).

Has anyone come across any nice pantone background for a framed monofig collection?

Absolutely amazing job translating the angles into curves!!!

I would like for them to give us enough parts in that color to create a monofig (monochrome minifig). We're still missing a hairpiece for the olive green/ dark pearl gray, and the rest of the parts for neon yellow.
