Oh goodness, that's beautiful. I'll get off my lazy bum and make this the one Ideas project a year I support.

Has anybody built the sets on LDD, particularly the Great Hall and Whomping Willow? It will be a couple of months before I can get my hands on any of the sets, but I'd love to start tinkering with some mods. Thanks if you can share. Edit: Nevermind. They are in the LDD subforum now; they weren't when I last looked. Thanks PicnicBasketSam, if you see this!

Batwoman is normally colored with really pale skin in the comics, especially her own title. There isn't an in-universe reason as far as I know, but it makes for a really striking design. She's not the only one either; Katana and Raven sometimes have a similar complexion (as on both of their minifigures). I'm really excited for this figure, and the Brother Eye set as a whole. I wasn't around when these were revealed, but I'm getting the sense people aren't huge fans? I guess the subject matter is a little obscure, but I like the Batwing, Batwoman is gorgeous, and Brother Eye is a cool concept. This wave is riddled with some weird choices though....

Any chance of getting one of these for Suicide Squad next year? That's pretty neat. I'm glad that it's the green Parademons too; I only have the yellow ones from the Aquaman set.

LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)
SoupOrFishOil replied to LEGODalekbuster523's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Maybe! The Reach was in LB3 (sort of randomly) so who knows? At least a Young Justice DLC pack seems likely to me, but then I'd think Aqualad would be saved for that. It wouldn't surprise me if some YJ/Titans team show up in the story as foes for the Justice Syndicate at some point even if they immediately share the JL's fate. Aqualad would fit in nicely then, whatever route they went as far as membership, since he's both a main character in Young Justice and a member of the Rebirth Titans. If they go the Rebirth route, a YJ DLC pack might come with other characters like Blue Beetle, Superboy, Wally West, and Artemis. This is probably overthinking it though... I'm just glad that Aqualad is supposedly here; I've been a little worried that the character roster won't be as impressive as LB3 or the Marvel games (even if the character models we have seen are gorgeous). -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Aw man, it does look like Two-Face has half of Superman’s hairpiece. That probably makes him a little more unlikely to be released. He and Catwoman are the only two bat villains which I really think could use an upgrade. (Both of their TLBM versions are great, but unorthodox.) Oh well. I’m really enjoying all of these designs anyway and am really looking forward to any of them to get real releases! Also, that Aquaman set is pretty great. Between this, DC Super Villains, and the über-Venom I am super excited for the future of this theme. -

Oh no, that would be awesome! But at this point I'll take just about anything over the purple and orange one. The TLBM version was great for what it was, but too novelty for my taste. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
There is a pretty great Two-Face who appears very briefly at the 0.38 mark. He's hard to make out, but he's not in orange, so that's already a huge improvement. I'm a little skeptical about how many of these figures were redesigned for the game and how many are actually coming. We've seen that Poison Ivy is a preview, and I think that Joker, Riddler, Deathstroke, and Solomon Grundy might be as well. Clock King of all people is different from the physical minifigure and I really doubt that they would release him so soon, especially in another version of the blue and green pajamas look. Catwoman is a toss-up, but she's the one that I really want. What's odd to me is that Grodd was redesigned, but has the same expression as the old one, which sort of makes me suspicious. I'm not convinced that Clayface is real. I think that they just updated the old character model there. All of this is just speculation, of course. Heck, if it weren't for Harley and Penguin, I'd think they were just updating all of the Bat-villains for a post TLBM world. New characters like Heatwave and Merlyn are a little bit harder to spot, since TT has gotten so good at simulating actual figures. Edit: Catwoman probably isn't happening. I just realized that the goggles on the TLBM mold don't flare up like these, which are the same as LB3. That's a pity.... -
Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Those of you who are thinking the sticker in the Sanctum Sanctorum is teasing a Daredevil figure next year might be interested in this post from the Ninjago 2018 thread. Maybe the horns stick out a bit too much, but it could be an earlier draft of a new piece or a flourish for the animation. It's curious, at least. -
Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion

Yeesh, and I thought the Spider-Trike was silly. This, however, is also kind of amazing. I hope the other sets are this much fun!- 3,962 replies

Oof, yeah.... Black Lightning is one of those characters it might be nice to get, but I'm not sure about this design at all. The head seems really off, and there might be too much detailing on the torso too. Not too bothered by the SDCC exclusives this year. Deadpool is a niche variant (though I do understand why people would be frustrated if they missed out on the Wolverine set back in 2012) and a decent comic version of BL could be made with pieces from Falcon and Black Vulcan. I guess we still have to see the TLM one, but I can't imagine it will be anything too special.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Ooh, lovely idea! That would be a wonderful style. The DC D2C's always seem to tie-in with some popular franchise which is getting promoted, since even Arkham might have been a loose tie-in for the video games, but who knows? Since Warner is trying to promote the League more, STAS, JLTAS, Super Friends, or even just that colorful, classic comicbook feel might get some nostalgic love soon.... -

Did anyone mod their Scuttler to give it wings? It just occurred to me that I haven’t actually seen that done, and a cursory search yielded no results. I think I’d like to look into doing that myself, even if it’s not screen-accurate, but I’d be interested in seeing how others have gone about it. -
LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)
SoupOrFishOil replied to LEGODalekbuster523's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I think it was in one of the videos from E3 showcasing the demo? I guess nobody posted it on this thread; I'm sure that there are several like it on YouTube where a playtester really goes through the character creator. The piece was definitely labelled as belonging to Aqualad. The same video also had Blue Beetle's neckpiece, but in that case it didn't specify that it belonged to him. -

I noticed Aqualad's holster in the character creator in one video. I guess some Young Justice characters will be in the mix? -
Aren't these delectable? I'm not a huge fan of Dobby, Neville, Cedric, Cho, Graves, Draco, or even Dumbledore (sorry; that indent under the mustache looks really off to me) but even all of those figures have wonderful pieces or it is just really cool to get the character. I am really excited for those beautiful new Gryffindor robes, Luna, Trelawney, Moody, and the characters from Fantastic Beasts! This line really is wonderful. I can't wait to start collecting Harry Potter LEGO again!

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

Both versions of Green Arrow were even based on The New 52. Shazam and Bizarro could be differentiated from the SDCC costumes even using the same source material. It's really not an issue. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's the Wonder Twins. Even if Rob doesn't know anything, they were missing from the list. Didn't a classic 80s Cyborg appear in the movie too? He'd be an option for the CMF. Then Barbara has a few other variants (including her fancy induction dress), there's the 60s Batsuit Alfred, and they can make Batman and Robin in pretty much countless costumes. We don't need 20 figures (or even a full series) but they can pull something out. And if all else fails, just fill those empty slots with the Garmadon family cosplaying as Batman characters. At least five sounds reasonable. -
Ah, thanks. I'll keep a lookout.

Well, these aren't JLAction based. Whaddya know? I guess I'm more mixed than anything. The Lobo set is pretty good all around, except for that Superman figure. Really? If we don't count Mighty Micros and Comic Cons, Cyborg now has just as many costumes (with maybe one more coming in TLBM) and Wonder Woman has twice the amount. Lobo is fantastic though, and I really love how expressive Krypto is. It would be inaccurate to the movie, but I wonder if Wonder Dog will get the same treatment? Either way, I hope Ace is on the way. The Lex mech is interesting. Maybe a bit overdetailed, but it seems like a good base for some tweaking. I find the minifigures disapointing though. Firestorm seems good (I really wasn't expecting Jason; that's a nice surprise), but Rebirth Batman definitely needs a cape (that's my favorite part of his design; it just really pops). Wonder Woman looks like a cheaper version of the excellent Gal Gadot figures and I really don't understand why everyone is so excited for her getting a new face; it looks like something from World City to me. I guess Lex is fine for Lex, and Cheetah's hairpiece is a bit boring. I guess I just need better images all around here. Cyborg's helicopter is better than it has business being, but I guess the issues here have been well pounded already. It looks like Cyborg has the headpiece from the Flying Fox. Aside from boots I don't really think Flash needs more variants, at least not in a set which includes Reverse-Flash. It would just be silly if they were released together and didn't match. I'd love one of Wally's costumes though. You really can't beat those prices though, and with TLBM getting moar stuff, it's not looking like too bad of a winter for DC LEGO. Any idea where those larger images of Krypto and Killer Frost came from, or why it's only them?

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ah, that does look familiar. Thanks! I'm glad to see that it's sized and styled like the City ones too. I was picturing something like the one in LEGO Batman 3, which would have been huge for something so obscure. -

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
You're right, I'm wrong. Three days before December isn't in time for Christmas at all. My point was that it still happened, and it wasn't even a tie-in to a movie release like The Hobbit. And still, it was more sets than are supposed to be released for TLBM now. I guess if it happens with TLNM and any other themes that's more sets than normal. Edit: Actually, speaking of Ninjago, I think the Rebooted wave was released in December too. -

Even last year four TLBM sets were released for Christmas.
