The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
SoupOrFishOil replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
He was one of the many villains created for the 60s TV show, probably the most prominent antagonist behind the big four of Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, and Riddler. -

MODOK got robbed. :c Oh well. Carol Danvers still knows he's the handsomest boy a handsome boy could be. -
The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's not nostalgia for me. I legitimately love Egghead and King Tut; I'd take them over Black Mask, Firefly, and a bunch of other villains people always seem to be clamoring for any day. I get that that's just me, but I'm grateful. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
SoupOrFishOil replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
She was the boring one. Cyborg and Cheetah (if I mentioned Cheetah) were the ugly ones. Not that accurate to the comics can't also be boring or ugly, especially since I meant the animation style more than the design itself. I could live with that Killer Frost, but I think I'd just prefer the Rebirth look. Maybe it wreaks of edgy modern anti-heroic designs over the classic spandex that some people would prefer, but I kind of like it anyway, at least for the coat. I might make fun of the croptop and haircut, but snow villains in coats are fun. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

That sounds like a good wave to me. Also, I'm not seeing why this has to be Justice League Action based. So what that it includes characters featured on the show? That's because these sets have big players, fan favorites, and characters who DC has been pushing lately in video games, TV series, and as part of the Rebirth initiative. Even if it is a tie-in for JLA, the Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man sets haven't always used the versions of characters that appear on those shows, so I don't see why that necessarily has to happen here. It could be a mix of cartoon, classic, and modern. Personally, if characters are getting new costumes, Rebirth seems a bit more likely to me, but that might be out of preference. Some JLA designs like Wonder Woman and Lex might be cool (and that Flash would be perfect for Wally), but other designs are boring or downright ugly compared to what's in the comics, like the Cyborg and Killer Frost posted above. -
In the future, it would be a good idea if you link to or at least say what Instagram account it is on if you can't share the photo. That's not Scarlet Witch's hair. It has no widow's peak, for one thing. It's new. I'm sort of meh on the whole. Whoever said his arms should be dark green and printed is right.

A lot of complaints. It's a bad photo, but honestly, I think that figure that will work for me. (Except for the tan. Down with the tan.)

MCU Captain America, Adam West Batman, and even Killer Moth have all been tanned. TLBM Batgirl's skin tone was even a little off from the color of the regular Barbara Gordon figure even though she had darker skin. Maybe dark red doesn't have the issue as these colors for some reason though. I think the Kabuki Twins were fine.

The minifigure is great of course, but did anybody else notice that he hasn't got that awful tan like Captain America and Batman do? Hopefully they will fix that problem across the board....

These characters have been around for a long time. I think these are what they've always (or at least usually) been called in France. -

What currency are the prices in? USD? Euros? -
I think they have a line of both action figures and dolls, actually.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, nobody here is deciding what type of figure the sets have. It definitely seems out of left field though, so I understand the disappointment; I wonder what the reason is, and how they will be branded and marketed. (Also, catty mean girl Cheetah shouldn't be an excuse not to get cursed African goddess Cheetah in a regular set.)- 8,446 replies

Surprised or happy? Because I wouldn't be happy if he were in another $100 set. -

Speaking of which, the white printing on the Kabuki Twins looks really good in this picture from Twitter. Could they have actually fixed it now? -
:P Here's an okayish one. I don't know where it comes from--someone uploaded it to Brickipedia.

LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Spoilers, maybe? I don't see why he can't be Dick Grayson in a movie where Two-Face is black and has melted LEGO for hair -
If Cheetah is released as a doll there isn't any reason she can't be in the main line too, like just about every other main character except Bumblebee has. I'm curious how you came to that statistic. It's a girls' line. There will be mini-dolls, unless LEGO replaces them with minifigures across the board.

Least Accurate Licensed Character Representations
SoupOrFishOil replied to BaneShake's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think that this is the one wins. A lot of the others are stylized weirdly, just needed a new print, or are at least accurate to concept art. Squidward is another good choice though...the head, colors, and expression are all off. -
If Year 1 themes not getting any future packs will be any sort of precedent, then ET et all wouldn't be getting more Year 3 packs anyway. And it's not like Star Wars and Marvel will take up an entire year's worth of real estate. They probably would take at least as much as DC (probably plus a level pack or two), but there will still be plenty of space for whatever new franchises they've got coming out Year 3. Or Year 4. It doesn't really make a difference when. (But I say the sooner the better, personally.) Also, there really wouldn't be an issue with DC and Marvel coexisting in a game. If Disney and Warner are willing to sign the contracts it won't make the universe explode or anything. Probably. Bringing together different companies' properties is sort of the point of the game.

Robin is in The LEGO Batman Movie, so I think he might show up there instead of with TTG. Or maybe not. Also, I would actually be ecstatic if the other new Ghostbusters pack was female Slimer, but I could see them doing her like TTG Cyborg.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I don't see why Ares wouldn't work (though I am sure that Cheetah would be a really fun Mighty Micros figure, like Red Skull) but I suppose that this isn't that different from Hulk being paired with Ultron. I hope this means Doomsday and especially Bizarro are coming in "real" sets, but these won't be too bad will full legs.- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
SoupOrFishOil replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think Chell has a double-sided face. The Wicked Witch can't really support a double-sided head (because her hat wouldn't cover it) and the Gamer Kid is yellow. Double-sided faces seem a bit rarer with non-licensed figures. Not a lot of CMFs get them at least. Since nearly everyone in the next Dimensions phase is an exclusive (rather than only three out of dozens) it's probably pretty likely that more of them will have double-sided faces.- 8,446 replies

Maleficent in the Disney CMF line has a cape that is purple on one side and black on the other. That might work. Otherwise I don't know if anyone has had a purple cape since the first Magneto.- 8,446 replies
