  1. A ploy to attract young ones I don't know what they actually are though, probably a reference to some Monster Movie Series, which I'd know nothing about
  2. That's what the strap is for I guess we'll have to wait and see....
  3. Okay, that's the part that confused me Thanks everyone
  4. Bat people are called gargoyles? I haven't heard that before. Not that I'm the kind of person fascinated by monsters.
  5. I find that if the torso is not blank and has a little bit of paint (doesn't matter which color, but usually black or white) is on the neck of the front side, the torso is at least made in China. I think that the figs are made in Mexico though, since that's where they popped up online for sale before release.
  6. My Catwoman, Two-Face, Two-Face Henchmen, and Guard are all fine. My Blue Batman has a few very tiny black dots that shouldn't be there, but they are hardly noticable. My black Batman's face is fine, but the yellow behind the batsymbol is printed roughly and there is a faded yellow curve to the oval's right. Again, hardly noticable, but a little disappointing. From my experience, a lot of detailed minifigures have always been like this-my Ernie Prang (The Knight Bus Driver from Harry Potter) has a few hardly noticable black lines straying from his eyes. Sounds like you have it worse than me though. Good to see, even though I don't agree with some of those comments. I find it funny how they were saying that the first Joker wasn't as cartoony though, because it's based on the Mark Hamill one from Batman: The Animated Series. Superman has a few more lines around his eyes and chin (that make him look older), but other than that, they are identical. And I don't like it.
  7. Maybe because the Werewolf has a specially molded head and none of the other stand ins do. I'm pretty sure that when CM was first announced, LEGO said that they wouldn't be appearing in any sets (except for specialty ones, it seems, like the Calendar). I don't want to go looking through two years worth of press releases and Brickset articles to find that though.
  8. I got the Catwoman and Two-Face sets, and the minifigures were so detailed that they looked unreal! But seeing Catwoman in person, I have to say that I prefer her old face now too, the visor is printed with not only white, but light blue too, so it gives it an affect I don't want All of the other figures are superb, except for my Black Batman has a little misprint with the yellow oval being printed roughly...
  9. Pardon me for wanting more Batman remakes, but: First, I'd like a Batboat vs. Penguin's Submarine Second, Bat-copter vs. Scarecrow's Blimp Thirdly, Bat-hammer (or Bat-blade as LEGO calls it) vs. something of Mr. Freeze's Fourth, Arkham Asylum I wouldn't mind some vehicles from Nolan's trilogy either, but I could live without them I think that they could fit in Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Nightwing, and Batgirl all in there somewhere too. I don't know what villains I'd want for Arkham, but I guess I probably wouldn't be dissapointed with the line-up there then.
  10. I didn't look around too much, but this was my favorite from the three or four topics I looked at:
  11. Meh, I guess it's just extra pieces (and probably dollars).
  12. The DC Universe site is back up, but there is nothing new. The messageboards for Super Heroes are up too, if you like pages of unrealistic, juvenial speculation from who knows how many... that stuff.
  13. I think Catwoman would be the female character we are most likely to see, if one at all. It would be interesting to see how they do her back (but no tail, please )
  14. I don't know about something so ornate with a Shakespeare head and all of Bruce's office ornaments and everything, but I think I'll at least be adding a couple poles for Batman and Robin, somewhere.
  15. I see how it works. You pull out a red pin in the back and a box (I don't know what to call it) drops. On top of the box is Bruce Wayne and Batman is in the inside. I'm actually a little disappointed with it, I thought that it would be able to rise up again (like an elevator). Still a good idea though, I guess...
  16. As an Adventurers fan, I like this theme. Most of the vehicles could probably be modded for JT and there are some great 30's minifigures-I could give some of the Adventurers characters makeovers! Some of the sets don't look too bad, either. Though honestly, I'm only very interested in the two largest ones-The ghost train (I like the ghosts AND Time Twisters vibe) and Dracula's castle (I could modify one of those bat-men into Man-Bat with some different legs and probably a different torso, and the castle seems to have some good pieces for building an Arkham Asylum). The hearse doesn't look too bad either, I could probably modify it into a car for Lord Sinister/Mr. Hates/Baron von Barron. The other sets don't look too good to me though. The swamp one is okay, but other than the minifigures, there is nothing really stand out. I like the car in the Werewolf set, but not the Werewolf too much, and I don't need a tree whick catapults dogs. I might get the mummy chariot though, nothing really stand out, but as an Adventurers fan, I can always use Mummies, and that blue bike could be useful. And the lab, oh my. I didn't even realize that it was a lab until a zoomed in, I thought it was half a car and a graveyard. I don't like the car at all, and there isn't anything I really need from the lab. I suppose that if I did get it though, that the scientist would probably have some good equipment and there are always those 30's monster hunters.
  17. I hope that LEGO handles it well. When I was younger, I was a fan of the Knights' Kindom II theme, until the second year ended, when Jayko became king. The next year, they got rid of the other three of the four original knights and replaced them, which ruined the theme for me. So, what I mean is, I hope that it doesn't become "all about *****". I'm alright with Zane having a light blue suit, at least for a while (for reasons other than having a light blue cowl). I'm fine with it because I think that since the unison dragon and unison tank are white, it makes sense to give Zane a different costume, so it doesn't look like they are his.
  18. Thanks for the review, it's not much, but it's something. Good to know that it is actually a good set (in your opinion at least) because I hate to make an uninformed purchase (and it doesn't usually work out to well for me). I didn't really see anything new, except for the Riddler machine close-up, but that's fine.
  19. That's pretty much why, even though I guess that they could do the less revealing, more modern look which was posted back a while ago, but her hair and proportions would still be strange (I think, at least. I think Breez's are, and she's a robot). Superman could be interesting though Yep. From what we have seen at least.
  20. I thought I said that we did see LoTR pictures, otherwise, the lack of Marvel wouldn't be very surpising at all. Whatever, I've misinterprated worst things before...
  21. Usually, but I'm surprised that we've seen the LoTR sets already Wow, that's a rip-off A Wonder Woman too Just kidding, that would be strange
  22. I think that the Ultrabuilds are being discussed separatley in the Action Figures forum. Closer to on topic than Princesses though...Monster Hunters thoughts would go in the Action Themes section
  23. It's supposedly for a kind of grapple-hook
  24. Actually, in 2007, there was this- See what's next to Hagrid?
