  1. I’ve thrown around the idea of Arin getting a mech that combines with Riyu, that may have been it. Actually no it was probably the idea of a UCS mech. Either way I’m absolutely hyped to see these set images, but also kinda miffed that we didn’t get reveals on Sunday, it being the anniversary and all. Happened in 2021 but I guess that was a special case for 10 years.
  2. Which eurobricks post is this In reference to, sorry I forgot 🫠 Wasn’t it rumoured that the ninja would get tournament like suits that have a half mask and sleeveless arms? Then we got the mech suits? I could see this wave being a combo of both.
  3. Speaking of Ninjago city expansion, I have just (like 5 minutes ago) finished my newest and biggest module to date. Will post some pictures soon. To be honest I could see them do a “cross roads” Ninjago city module where it doesn’t have water on the sides, or maybe one side so it bridges the gap between Ninjago city modular and icons/created expert modulars. That would be cool. I’d still like to see a UCS bounty or monastery. If we got a UCS monastery this year, then the year after next (supposing they release every 2 years) that would put it inline with the timeframe for a new bounty set. Getting a full scale new bounty design to correspond with the show (maybe the season sees the ninja travel around new-Ninjago on the bounty doing small tasks) would be absolutely amazing, as I always feel like the bounty sets really lack the interior and detail the show puts in, not to mention obviously the size.
  4. I don’t mind it too much, it will be like a sea bound situation. And IMO there’s plenty to be excited for in all the waves. Cheap mechs in W1, Ras’s shadow dojo and the dragon stone temple in W2, and finally the source dragon, Titan mech and unknown D2C set in W3. What does everyone think it is by the way? I’ve seen a growing number online say they want it to be a UCS style monastery, which honestly I can get behind. I’d love to see Ninjago explore with more adult oriented sets that aren’t just Ninjago city as there’s a lot of potential (don’t get me wrong though, I’m still personally hoping for a new city module), for example a minifig scale bounty, a city of ouroborus, or maybe a big fire temple (I guess dragon stone temple is getting close to that anyways). There’s quite a bit they could do. I would absolutely kill for a minifig scale Titan mech that’s fully functional, like the dude on YouTube who does UCS versions of sets (talentedartsproduction). They would likely have to incorporate a new joint part though. Either way, very hyped! I do have to still grab some of the dragons rising sets, I think zanes car is top of my list so far. Temple of dragon energy cores and the dragon mech battle if I can find them for cheap.
  5. Haha so glad to see exactly what I wanted, a mid range space base set! Can’t wait to see pics of that. Hopefully we see more to come!
  6. Couple of updates - Cole’s titanium dragon mech. Could he be sharing with zane?? And also the source dragon is fire, not motion. Motion would have been cool, maybe the same power as zeatrix?
  7. Set names are out. Looks to be a small wave like sea bound where it’s just 5 sets. Sad to see there’s no small sets aside from one. zanes bike tournament arena ninja combo vehicle Cole’s Titan mech source dragon of motion so yeah. Very uninspired wave, sad to see no mention of Arin Sora or Riyu but I guess they get sets in the March wave. However I can’t lie I’m so excited to see a Ninjago dragon at 1700 parts that sounds fantastic, and correct me if im wrong but that is by far the biggest Lego dragon right? Golden ultra dragon didn’t even make 1000 parts in crystalized. And Cole finally getting a Titan mech is also awesome, I really hope it’s based off his golem form, maybe a bigger version of it. I just hope we get that awesome backwards knee design on a big mech. Now all we need is a Titan mech for Kai and the series is complete. Although actually I guess Sora and Arin need a Titan mech too. Tournament sounds like whatever, we are getting an arena in the March wave anyways. Zanes bike sounds mildly interesting, small bike set is cool. And I think we can all agree the combo vehicle is likely a raider isn’t it? I kinda hope we see something new like a bounty made up of all the vehicles combined. May look a little off with all the different colours but I think they could make it work. We saw a boat shaped mech in the hydrobounty. Upscale, give it to Kai. Give an armoured vehicle to Cole in the centre. Give Jay a vehicle with the engines and then zane the cabin at the back. Make it a base or something. Give Arin the sails and Sora the roof of the cabin. Make them a kite and a shield or something. it’s harder than I thought to make a bounty out of vehicles.
  8. Finally got my hands on the rover and another mech, god damn the rover is beautiful. Better in real life. Love the suspension and the look of it. Gotta mod it a bit to better fit what I want from a Rover but I would not mind at all to get 2 of these and have them in a convoy. The mine mech is also an awesome set. Looks great with 2 hammer hands and the other with 2 claw hands and I get another mining suit. I did notice when building that the rover actually has a second feature. Everyone was so confused with the seating arrangement and why there’s the minifig leg slots. They’re not for minifigs. They’re for mini dolls! It’s probably the first real friends/city compatible build and that is absolutely awesome. (I know Lego movie 2 had sweet mayhem but that’s it’s own universe thing)
  9. Just picked up the mining mech, my god it's such a nice little set. The robot is one of the worse-er ones we get from this sub theme but I like it regardless. The mech itself is brilliant, love its design. Hammer doesnt work as well as intended but looks awesome, and I love printed space tiles. The minifig is absolutely excellent, and the reason im going to get another pretty soon. Love the armour and I hope it will be recoloured, same with the helmet. I would die for a black or red version of it. Speaking of which, I'll post some pics in a bit of my own red spaceman using the prints from the set. We REALLY needed this. I dont know why a red set of figures were omitted. The printing and colours line up. At least the prints aren't colour locked and can be modified with parts. Another big thing for me is this wave is really missing a medium size structure build, maybe a small outpost made up of 2 modules and a small rover, something in the £45/$50 range. The jump from £25/$35 to £60/$85 is ridiculous, and I really wish we had a miid range set to go with this wave.
  10. Sooo ninjagos 13th anniversary is coming up next week, and Ninjago music are already teasing a big release for the fans (honestly cannot wait, I absolutely love the music and the team behind it are amazing), I’m wondering if we may have a 2021 situation going on. What does everyone think about our chances for seeing the March sets? I think it’s 50/50 really.
  11. It was spotted in a Lego store somewhere but currently unknown availability. It should be coming with the megapolis set though.
  12. Monkie kid and Ninjago continue to use cloth and vinyl pieces for wings and mech skirts and stuff, so the part material are still seeing wide spread use. Just not particularly sail shaped.
  13. yeah stickers im afraid!
  14. Yeah the new aircraft parts are a game changer, I can’t wait to see more of them. I really really need that part on the back of the small rover and fire plane in black, that would be incredibly useful. I agree as well, as does most people I’ve seen online say that this should have been its own theme. But I get why it isn’t, budgeting and marketing and all that. I do hope this is them just testing the waters and seeing if space could make a full theme come back, so I’m gonna try and get what I can from this wave. Only thing the subtheme needs are decent double sided face prints and maybe a few returning team members (I think there’s one repeat azure minifig) and it would be solid. Still, I can add my own in. Speaking of adding in, I’ve got extensive plans for the new smaller rover set. I want to first off see how much liveable interior space I can cram into it (given 4 studs width I’m not expecting much) and then maybe beefing the body of the rover out by 2 studs, making it a 6 wide interior, as I’ve been writing a story about a lone spaceman traveling a distant moon with his robot pal and this set is such a good base model to modify to my liking, and it’s surprisingly close to my sketches and description of my own vehicle. I got the mech as well just as a compliment set, I’ve already built the base version of it a month ago when pics came out and it’s a decent size with good playability and articulation, and I absolutely NEED that new engineering space suit, that helmet looks amazing. Really I want to get all the figures from this wave. My priority sets are the small rover, mech and the space station, and the rest are sets I’d like to get but probably won’t unless I have spare budget to spend. I’m half and half on the big rover, personally I wish it did more, like split down the middle or something. I need a galaxy squad typa play feature on that big rig because a tiny crane and a removable pod aren’t really cutting it. The space base is alright but feels disjointed, they should have cut the tiny rover and used parts budget to beef up the base more, and take away the ramp for the cargo shuttle. one cool tidbit of information I got from the instructions is the origin of the second battery colour. I’m almost all sets the batteries are trans sparkly purple, but in the space station there is actually 2 types of batteries, the regular purple and a pink version, which is used on the space hover bike I think. Anyways the cargo shuttle in the space base set has a table in the pod that shows the pink bubble part that is the other thing they’re mining and studying actually makes up the pink batteries. I really love this continuity across sets, really does make it feel like it’s own theme that was eaten by city!
  15. Finished building my own version of the interstellar spaceship, it’s a very solid build, and the function is very fun. Good and weighty too, and pretty damn big considering the price. Only thing I can ask for is landing gear, which I modified and added to it. Unfortunately it’s very hard to keep the slick shape of it with the addition of landing gear. As with the other space craft in this sub theme, it really needs a stand. I wish Lego had built one at least for the big space station. Next up, a bigger spacecraft or rocket to mount this onto, as it does feel like it requires a second stage for surface to orbit flight. still, a very slick and beautiful build, and I’m glad I was able to throw it together with what I had before hand. Only thing I’m missing out on are the printed parts and the minifigure. I’m sure I’ll pick it up eventually. I’ve ordered the space mech and the smaller rover though, so I’m eagerly waiting for those sets.
  16. I was looking at the noodles wondering what they were about. Kinda sad they already have the mech suits and weren’t given them in the mechs, would have made a bit more sense with their appearance but I guess random suits showing up is just something that happens now. Very interested in the device on Cole’s back. I thought it was the gong of shattering at first but I guess not. Also excited to see chrono steel return!
  17. Yeah just looked it up, sorry. Still, glad it’s a March set. It’s gonna be one expensive year! I’ve seen 2 people (comments) so far claim that it’s confirmed not to be a city set, although I haven’t seen a source, nothing from big leakers. One mentioned @Brick Clicker claimed it’s not a city set but I haven’t seen anything from the man himself, so I’m still holding out hope.
  18. I got 2 opposite points to make for some thought making here, Ninjago city sets can’t keep getting bigger, it has to come down eventually, and I’m all for a smaller expansion. I could see them doing a smaller, shorter version of gardens without the side temple, maybe with some modular-type deal so you can reconfigure the buildings/rooms (like the recent Lego city sets like downtown and apartments) and have it as a generic Ninjago city set. I had an idea a while back for a sliding mechanism inside a custom module to swap it from a corner to a straight module. Obviously something like that would be too hard to accomplish in an official set but I’d like to see a generic, smaller city set. My counter point is that I believe there was a “dragon stone temple” rumoured that had garmadon and a couple other figs in and was described as “the closest we would get to a UCS ninjago set” and I could easily see it being that set, but I can’t remember if the set numbers line up. I have to say though I’m not like the price tag. It had better be pretty insane.
  19. Summer prices are out. Looks like we are getting another modular, cant wait to see what they come up with. Suprised though it didn’t make a cameo on the back of the box of the GWP. Hopefully it’s a corner module because I need a new one to complete my dreams of a full square. I only need one more. 5 other sets are rumoured. A $10 one, a $50 one (quite a jump there), a $90 set, a $100 set and a $150 set. Very very expensive wave, I guess they took all the small sets from the summer and put them to January. The $50 set has 660 parts and for some reason the $90 set has 570 parts, there had better be a damn good reason for that sets price. Maybe a mech? $150 set I remember was rumoured to be a giant dragon (I think) so I’m excited to see that. Hopefully a large 4 winged dragon.
  20. Yeah just seen them. Thanks though@Rwbricks . Looks like they have “2022” on the confidential stamp sadly, I wouldn’t mind seeing another small £9 set like the vermillion ambush from 2017. Guess it was someone’s take on it but for this wave.
  21. I’ve said names before. Can you DM me the name of the user? Interested to see this.
  22. I feel like it’s such a miss that we didn’t get a fire fighting chinook instead of the water bomber plane again, given we got one before as well. Also I’m just praying we get a large scale chinook like the Forrest police or volcano explorer versions. What other concepts could we see for city? I also think an army engineer tractor (like a tank but without a turret, has a bulldozer blade on the front and a giant claw crane on the top) but upgraded and painted red could go a long way as an off road fire fighting vehicle. For jungle I hope we get either a chinook or a giant river command boat could be cool. I hope they keep the flame-yellow orange colour scheme from 2019 too.
  23. Please for the love of god give us more frogs in new colours. I’d die for a printed poison dart frog.
  24. Considering the space flora in the rover box art I could see this happening
