Has it been confirmed we’re getting new suits for Sora that’s not just a new mask? Will be kinda lame if Lego continues with the trend of sidelining the new ninja in favour of the old suit wise. -
Colours are subjective, that’s like one of the biggest questions to ask anyone IMO, and I agree that white and azure is a better contrast (red and overwhelming black on top tho) but the problem is with Ninjago is that the suits never lean into it. Cole is the one who always gets good contrast because his base colour is black or orange. Look at the climber suit, he has a full black hood/armour with orange details on the torso and legs whereas Zane is stuck with a grey and white hood/armour. Or Kai with red and dark red, and then a ton or red on the torso. A big part of my issues with the suits are definitely mould based but it can often be negated by good colour blocking on the prints. But as I said, colours are extremely subjective. A week it is then! I’m not expecting any more leaks now till then, I think we’ve seen enough unless a set just drops on a random polish website like the usual.

Yeah, I’m just on the edge of my seat because whilst we have seen most of the sets, i want to see them in HD with all their functions and features. Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s just Zane’s mech and Lloyd’s car we haven’t seen yet right? There’s a possible retail exclusive set at 71832 that I’ve seen talked about a little but we have no info on that one do we? I just want to see the combo mech in all its glory mainly, I have a bad feeling it’s got a lot of parts forming and not many actually transformations looking at that leaked picture. I’m also kinda scared to see the masks because I love Cole’s one, which we’ve seen up close but it looks like the other ninja masks don’t have as strong as a contrast when it comes to the mouth part. Shame how Cole always gets the coolest looking suits because orange and black is just an amazing combo. I would love to see some thing like spring yellow and red for Kai but he’s got all red it looks like, although in the gimmick set he does have majority gold with red contrasts.

So when do we think we will actually see the new sets? I think Thursday is a solid bet, my theory is that Smyths France just put them out a week early, so hopefully on the 28th we will actually see them.

Some info concerning the village set, apparently the blue hat character is called “rogue” and according to bricksbymind is “a very interesting character” and considering they’re not part of the forbidden 5 name group, I’m guessing it’s a random one off side character like Akita or Benthomar, or, it’s Jay as a ronin type rogue character who is kinda just off doing his own thing and his figure was just thrown in, because as of last season, he has no one to go back to. Ras is gone, wolf masks are taken over by the F5. So I think this all but confirms Jay as the character in my opinion.

Plus Drix is the elemental master of swarm, which seems obvious considering the minifigure design buts good for confirmation. I doubt this is a Ninjago city set, I think a standalone set is the likely option. I’m seeing a couple of buildings, the central fountain and maybe 2 small scale mechs for racing? Geo, Dorama, Frohicky, Lobbo, Kreel, Grabbarg, maybe re-releases of Urban Arin and regular Sora? Finally I have a place for all my prime empire rats too, I have way too many of them.

Has any of his stuff actually come to light yet? I thought he was one of the sketchy leakers… even so, this is a realistic rumour, we’re due a bounty in summer 2025 and an evil bounty hasn’t been done physically before, given the parallels with the ninja and the forbidden 5 I can easily see this being real, it’s just the source itself that’s self sabotaging. edit- it’s being reported on by the other new leakers that have had confirmed leaks, I’ll take the bait (reference)

Certainly a set of all time Feels like a lot of clashing ideas here, which is the case for a lot of these new sets. Very excited for the official pictures though, I’m kinda miffed at the fact this is another low quality grainy single image whilst the other themes have been having decent reveals. Still, can’t complain. Hyped to see official pics for features and the like, and that moulded dragon head looks ready for a MOC!

Shame he’s missing the shoulder armour but it’s just the dragon power armour right? Should be an easy enough fix. And I’ll always take more mech Zane’s, I love the white and blue colours. Works very well for a space faction.

Now that the sets are up on Lego.com, I’m happy to see Erlang has my favourite type of face print, ones where the minifig mouth is obscured with a mask or breathing apparatus. This one’s obviously a bit more ornate than Sci-fi but I think I can make it work. Stellar figures! They are still giving my goat Mr Tang the strangest outfits though just please rerelease his dronecopter outfit.

That has be very worried for the stability of the mech, especially with a fabric cape and the wider torso, but I’m hoping it’s balanced out by using the giant blade/staff weapon to balance with.

I said before on a previous post but the main rumour right now is that the theme is on a bit of a break to let the show team catch up with the set team, due to the massive animation switch. I’ve not heard about the wild rain members not working on the show now, which is disappointing. If I had to guess they will try and get one more wave out of monkie kid and then call it there, the show seems to be aiming for season 6 to be the final throwdown between good and evil. It would be a huge shame if this is the end for monkie kid, it’s had such an awesome run and I echo the sentiment that the first wave of sets as a whole were life changing. What came after has been just as good. Hopefully it can last, make sure to show support of the theme, but I think the main decider will be the Chinese market, which is kinda out of our control. Speaking of which, pictures of both sets are now online. As predicted, that mech does look way better in clearer images. Still not good enough to see figs but I like the proportions a bit more and there’s even a place for the celestial hound, which I love! Not a fan of MKs build, but that’s easy to remoc into something else. The mythical quilin creature seems interesting but sadly very stiff, but I like the build otherwise. Both rumoured to be 80 dollars. Ok, so sorry for the repeating posts, but Dylan chow on Instagram has posted better pictures of the sets in hand at the China expo. The creature and the mech both look way better in person, and the figures are actually pretty good. Love Monkey king, and MK has still got new side leg printing so I think they may still be throwing some investment behind the theme. Sandy has lost his mohawk, but Mo seems new. Can’t see Meis printing much, and pigsy looks new. He also has a brand new dumpling piece. Unfortunately I can’t see the Erlang figure as the mech covers him pretty well. The celestial hound has printing though!

Yeah I’m hyped for the pictures, and also hoping it is just downtime for the show to catch up on because from what I understand the show is actually a huge part of the themes identity within legos consideration of it, much more than what consumers consider. It was closely developed with the first wave of sets in the documentary so I assume the same is happening with all waves. Yeah I’m really happy with the galactic explorer, it’s one I never really considered but at half the original price I couldn’t pass it up, I love building spacecraft and even if I didn’t love it, it’s a lovely parts pack with some great figs. Here in the UK there was a weird period of time where you could find the team van for like £45-60 which I am kicking myself for not taking advantage of, that would have been a real win. Nowadays it goes for about its original price so I can’t complain too much (unlike the ring of fire and the macaque mech, I just want a macaque figure!) Tangs 1 appearance is definitely infuriating, and I have no doubt he won’t be rereleased, as you said they keep the designs fresh for the sets. I’ll be honest regarding the arcades, they’re pretty simple builds of you can put them together with parts from an existing collection, and personally the team power truck is by far the worst of the team vehicles, it feels somewhat empty in the back. That pinball machine definitely pulls its weight. If you are in the UK I saw a listing for the team power truck on eBay for £30 without figures, which if you’re not looking at the figs that’s a decent deal IMO. I keep tabs on most of the second hand sites I know and check for new MK listings. I thought there was a brick list for sets with buildable arcades, if I have time tomorrow I’ll throw one together to try and find all the sets that include them. Off the top of my head, Ninjago city gardens, team van, team power truck, lion guardian, drone copter. Anything else?

Both theme sets have been leaked online already, the Chinese new year sets are a brick built Fan and some other accessories (not really familiar with them) and a weird mini figure stand type build for the other set. Obviously we are likely all familiar with the 2 monkie kid sets that have leaked, im hyped to see the new figs and the builds in more detail, although I have to say both dont really interest me. Apparently there will be little monkie kid content for 2025 due to the shows production having to catch up, and it will return in 2026 with a fresh wave. Thats just a rumour ive seen a couple of times, so take it with a handful of salt. Hopefully though the theme doesnt end, because I need more monkie kid. Ive been trying to pick up some of the older sets, I managed to get an amazing deal on the galactic explorer so I'll post my thoughts about that when it arrives. Been really trying to hunt down the ring of fire set, probably my biggest regret not picking that up when it was available. I hate how expensive monkie kid is on the aftermarket, you have to look really hard for anything below its original price, and those that are are generally sets that aren't as highly rated by the community (hence I snagged the galactic explorer for half off its original price). Sets like flower fruit mountain, macaques mech, the ring of fire and the team secret HQ are so ridiculously expensive now. I also was looking through the sets and only one figure of Tang in his regular clothes has ever been released, what is up with that? I would have expected a re-release by now, they keep putting my man in tank tops!

It was discussed at length on Twitter a while back I think, the set designer gave confirmation that it was gonna be a thing but got cancelled because of a bottle neck issue. On a somewhat related note, that cancelled Monkie kid set sounded pretty fun.

Really wish the set reveals/leaks would hurry up now, I got my eye on some pretty good monkie kid deals that I wanna snag but I need to allocate budget for the next wave. From what I’ve seen though, I’m definitely getting the Forrest dragon, Zane titan mech and the spinners. Zane’s mini mech and the draconian village are also contenders, and I need to see more of the Arc dragon and the storm rider mech sets to be swayed. I don’t think I’ll get the chaos dragon unless the official pics really sway me, which is a shame because I want to support villain sets.

Glad to see theres still other Thunderbirds fans out there, we've actually came close to getting sets a couple of times. Still salty about the ideas rejection. I'm also cautious about a live action ninjago movie, I agree with the sentiment that it could be pretty bad but also we need to remember that the news is literally "the concept has been greenlit". There isn't a script yet, there likely isn't any story written, if there is its in the early concept stage. It may get cancelled. Im just personally looking forward to the reveal season beginning.

Idk about you guys but I’m personally very excited for a couple of set waves with insane builds and great prices (thanks to the movies profit being worked into the set prices) so even if the film ends up bad, we still get a silver lining. Will be very interested to see the minifigs though.

It’s on ITVX which is free but I cannot recommend due to the sheer number of ads, like 9 per episode. 3at the start, middle and end. As much as I want to support the show I’ve resorted to a google drive which are pretty easy to find.

I actually do think it doesn’t need to be rebuilt. I think the car cockpit is hidden in the big opaque dark blue parts, and judging by the wheel height, I think the lower half of the torso is part of the car build, disconnecting where a chest rotation joint would be. I think it folds down, with those 2 1x1 dots being head lights? Then the feet clip together at the back of the car. As for Soras jet, the cockpit is clearly on the left mech hand and the jet/thruster is on the right. The main body of the mech is the main body of the jet, and the wings are made up of the shoulder armour? Mecha-zane is kinda just shoved onto the front, and I imagine Riyu is basically like a giant backpack. As you’ve said though, more images are definitely needed to make a judgement. I really hope we get some more detailed leaks first, I wouldn’t mind not seeing the other sets until they’re fully revealed if it meant clearer pics of these ones.

Zane season babyyyyyy The mech looks pretty good, I’m very interested to see how Zane actually is incorporated into this. Does he have a big form in the new season? It’s all very confusing. Huge Riyu too. I can’t really pick out the car and jet parts which could be both good and bad, but I hope more pics of it leak either way.
