  1. A bit off topic but, I remember the 2005 graveyard set showing a "handsome" peter pettigrew in the instructions and box art I think, but I got the correct ugly one instead. I wonder if they realized it didn't look like wormtail at all and changed the design mid-production. I don't know it just seemed weird to me back when I was 9, never had the chance to ask hah.
  2. I'm very excited about the brickbuilt horntail, I hope they surpass themselves :D It might be an immediate purchase. I feel like they are finally doing a fair coverage of characters so this specific movie in lego almost feels like a first-timer to me! (Not to mention the attention to detail now) I hope they use the new slope pieces for the dresses instead of fabric. Although I'm unsure about the mobility. I just don't want them to cast a pants McGonagall this time around, she really needed a dress. Perhaps they can use the fabric and the same design printed underneath so you get to choose, or is that too much? Btw I wonder if they will give Harry and Ron the same middle part hairpiece. Or use Rex's hair for harry? Mhmm.
  3. But when people say soft plastic don't they mean the rubbery one used more commonly for long hairpieces? This one was an opaque, solid lightweight plastic, looked and felt like straight up cheap plastic.
  4. Now that Bellatrix has been mentioned, I wanna say I hate the plastic her hairpiece is made of Asking for a new mold is probably too much as they nailed the 2010 one, but perhaps they could use a diferent plastic for it and print gray hair on it.
  5. If you're talking about the leaked head I'm thinking (Jafar) then TBH I don't think that's him. It lacks a lot of Jafar's cartoony ressemblance. And the other head, at first I thought of Jasmine but again, it lacks some iconic details (lip color, eyebrow shape and the eye line) Plus that grin is definitely Moana lol.
  6. What? The hair and head are just one piece? That's a bummer. Why would they do that ahh. So the "fake" list got one right so far. I'm guessing the freckled face is really anna then.
  7. I'm actually much more excited this time around, I might as well just end up just buying everything HP I missed from last year out of excitement lol.
  8. I've been away from home for about 5 years now, where I keep 95% of my lego stored in a closet and among it, my minifigures. A lot of my minifigures' face print bits (lower lips, eyebrows, etc) have scratched off, and this particular pink luna torso is discoloured as well even though it's never been exposed to the sun! (It's actually the same color as yours) I guess I am not saying this is a strange event as 3 decade old minifigs can be kept intact with proper care, but if they're not, man they're so delicate!... I guess the prints coming off is the result of having all of them in a box and them rubbing against each other, but the discolouration... no idea. They're in the darkest place they could ever be in. And even when I had all those pieces out, there was no direct contact with the sunlight in that room. Also, some minifig legs and torsos with silver/golden prints are completely faded now! Remember that rapper with a cap and gold teeth from the collectible minifigs? Mouth gone! He is mute now, bye bye rap career. When I "played" with them they were perfect rofl. This would've been a real nightmare if I were still 13.
  9. A hairpiece that long would be asking for too much I guess, it would have to be some sort of bendable material or perhaps it could be a much more developed hairpiece, where the actual piece you put on the head has a pin hole where you connect a "technique" or articulated braid which can bend and move easily. But I say a hairpiece as long as the height of the minifigure is enough.
  10. Merida and Rapunzel would be awesome if they gave them proper hairpieces. I would really love if they made a hairpiece that covers the legs from the back for Rapunzel, not that boring short braid. Can't really be a problem! They can use the soft plastic for it, and give her a cloth skirt because she doesn't need the slope, her dress isn't that long. Who cares about her sitting anyway lol.
  11. What about Mulan? There's the movie coming in 2020.. unless we get a third series.
  12. YESS!! I'm really excited for it! Can't wait for leaks I hope we get some Hercules and Tarzan, and Brave!
  13. A lego store is opening the 23th of this month here in Guadalajara Mexico so hopefully the castle will be cheaper there :)
  14. Exactly my thoughts. Thick is the word. The face printing is an opaque black (doesn't look black like in the sets) and the details on the faces aren't as sharp on the CMF's. Percival Graves is the perfect example. Looks like keychain quality LOL. However I have a mixed feeling about it because for example I think the printing on luna's face with specs looks very sharp. By the way, I need some advice. I don't know if to go after more CMF's, I have one foot in the dark ages and one foot in the lego closet. Yesterday I felt kind of bad for spending money on LEGO but today I kind of regret not getting more minifigs.
  15. Went to my nearest toy store. Everything wizarding world was too expensive, picked up only a few polybags (the lady working there was also picking up some and we helped each other) Surprised to see a box was almost gone, I miss the times when there was no pack-feeling culture lol. There were lots of Tinas, it seems nobody wanted her, but managed to get a Graves woohoo!
  16. Crap, all the sets were released the 1st here in Mexico, the polybags are probably going to be all picked
  17. I'm one of those who got really disappointed upon hearing it would be microscale. But it has grown on me so much, I will save for it, mod it (specially the stairs) and hopefully I'll be able to add some lighting.
  18. This is great but the only thing that bothers me is how some rooms have such a small space (Dumbledore's office and the chamber of secrets) Aand the moving staircases had soo much potential to end up looking like that hah (they literally lead to the wall wtf) This could've been the most attractive feature of the castle.
  19. Awesome review as always! Dobby IS my favorite minifig from the series :D I need a keychain of it as well, hah. I like Dumbledore very much too. And the back of Luna's hairpiece is superb! I think the previous Newt face looked a lot more like Eddie Redmayne :D
  20. Yeah Nagini is long overdue, but I prefer the Voldemort from 2010, each to their own.
  21. Awesome minifigs. Love Cedric, Dumbledore, Moody/Barty and Dobby. The mug and plate from Trelawney is cool. Voldemort is extremely plain and boring. Luna's 2nd face is basically the same as the previous one, but the hair is nice. EDIT: nvm just checked old luna and the specs from the new one are definitely much more detailed and less funny-looking
  22. Does anyone know where to get the sets and the upcoming CMFs in Vancouver, CA (besides the lego store)? I forgot there are no target stores in Canada
  23. We get to pay almost the double in Mexico :-) Not even the certified LEGO store has cheaper prices lmao.
  24. So I guess we can rely on a 2nd wave coming Because business is business, right?
