Yes yes!! May the leak games begin!
-
I agree! That’s why I think it’s better to have sets that focus exclusively on the interior if we want something more accurate. I would purchase common rooms and classrooms in a heartbeat.
-
Compare the texture closely side by side, you’ll notice they both follow the same pattern. The new one looks like regular plastic though.
-
Pretty sure it will be just a small “taste” of it like every room we’ve been getting. To get proper/complete interiors, I think they would have to be stand alone sets, like the ones they released back in 2000’s. The room of requirements set will be the first since the reboot of the theme.
-
*Assuming* the remaining 2 sets are the burrow, a ministry of magic set, and the D2C is real (being the rumoured Diagon Alley) I would expect to get Fenrir, Bellatrix in her black dress, Lucius, Narcissa and hopefully a generic death eater from GoF... we need more evil!
-
Well you probably saw the ig story by now, but it says they are printed. I wonder if both of the centaurs from the forbidden forest set will look exactly the same.
-
I find it odd how they made a new hairpiece for Bellatrix, and it looks very very similar. I wonder if they had just trashed the previous mold. Either way, these look amazing! That would probably make this year the best one for HP! It would be, way too good to be true!
-
Yes I agree, plus the shrieking shack ;) I can see Hogsmeade happening, just not at a $300+ price point. As for GP, I think it’s very possible too, but again, I don’t see it being a big set where the massive facade is portrayed. The “revealing” feature on its own sounds very appealing; the regular muggle looking exterior doesn’t.
-
It would be refreshing to see locations other than Hogwarts as the big sets, I will have to wait and see though. I skipped the 2011 one because I thought the interiors were lackluster and the minifig selection was meh. Still, for some reason I’m not that excited about DA, but for a D2C, it surely is the only “big location” besides Hogwarts? I was thinking Hogsmeade but like GP, it’s not commercially appealing in its entirety. As for the other sets, we still need a bigger Ootp set, and a smaller HBP set :)
-
I agree! Plus, it doesn’t make sense to me getting just 2 small sets for Ootp. I still think the current “Dumbledore’s office” doesn’t do justice to the majesty depicted in the movies, and seeing the architecture in these new sets, I’m sure they could come up with something fantastic. But I doubt they will focus more on the interior.
-
Pretty sure it would be Ginny instead of Hermione. Btw, the 2 sets are confirmed by falconfan.

I just don’t see the WWW happening on its own, specially at $99. Sure, there’s a lot going on inside but it’s too repetitive for a set; sounds more like a LEGO ideas entry to me or a custom. If it ever gets made I think the focus will be on the exterior. Unless... unless this $99 set is WWW AND borgin and burkes? Huh. They both appear in HBP after all. Be it this possible “mini diagon alley” or the burrow, we would have 2 Ootp sets and 2 HBP sets, who knows what the last set might be. BUT, and it’s a big but, that would leave us with two small Ootp sets and 2 huge HBP sets (in case it is the burrow, WWW or whatever) which doesn’t make any sense! So maybe the $99 set is based on Ootp, or neither. Lmao. I can’t think of any huge setting in Ootp except the ministry of magic (veil area/statue area/prophecy area) and the possible minifigs would be Lucius, Bellatrix, Voldemort, Harry, Ginny, Neville, Luna, Hermione, Ron?

Well given the current price I will consider it. At full price it would’ve been a no. Thanks for your insight! The 2 possible August sets are great news! - If it is true -, then it would be 4 sets in June, a buildable Hedwig, 2 more sets in August, the CMFs, advent calendar, D2C and possible brickheadz? It sounds surreal! I honestly want the D2C to be minifig scale! But I wonder if it’s too much for a year? Either way, I do believe it is possible to get the burrow this year and the wedding section next year. We could get up to 10 minifigs! We could get Harry, Ginny, Tonks, Lupin, Bellatrix, Fenrir, Molly, Arthur and either Ron, OR Fred and George! The Great hall retailed for the same price after all, and had 10 minifigs. IMO there is still a lot of material left for DH and the remaining missing sets, not to mention the possible FB sets next year.

Haha I know, but it’s just to save space, the carriage isn’t small after all. (I also put the horntail on top of the tent, surrounded by the quidditch towers ha) Nice changes to your rooms! I remember the pictures you posted. As for the interiors, while I like them very much, I would prefer they included less rooms but bigger + more detailed (Looking at you dumbledore’s office, prefect’s bathroom and gryffindor dorm) But, that’s probably a bad idea because we wouldn’t get a taste of most rooms in the end. Sometimes I’m glad that I don’t make the decisions at TLG. By the way, the clock tower is on sale at a local supermarket, at a quarter of its original price. I wonder how these 2019 sets did, at least in my country (It’s just rare to see such discounts) Lastly, I’m debating whether I should get the advent calendar or not. Love the fireplace, statue, flags and great hall props, but I’m not into the micro builds or minifigures.
-
Having a super small shelf to display my stuff, this is what probably saves the most space: https://imgur.com/lLMUNwr Curious to see if anyone has re-arranged the furniture pieces inside the rooms. For example, putting the Gryffindor beds and props from the calendar where the DADA classroom is, and placing the stuff from the latter in the whomping willow set, etc.

I agree wholeheartedly with the ones who say it’s better to have the most important sets distributed along the waves, otherwise the theme would die quickly. I wasn’t too fond of getting privet drive, but in the end it’s a relevant location to pretty much every movie. I’m very very hyped about the sound of these sets, it sounds dreamy to say the least... plus TBH they all sound very relevant to me. Room of requirements with new patronuses? Astronomy tower? Graaawp? Pinch me already! Oh and CMFs. I’m even worried of being way too excited, I don’t want to spend my life waiting for lego releases haha, but I can’t help being more interested in what’s coming than in what we already have. On another note, I’m not too happy about the late quality in many new face prints. I’m sure I have frequently talked about this, but damn I hope they fix it. Many of the new face prints are looking smudgy, opaque (specially the black color) and thicker than before. I loved having minifigures with super sharp and 100% black expression lines, I was always amazed at the perfection of the printing of such small details. Still, won’t stop me from buying lego. I hate being too picky :(

Some speculation: 1. Okay, so for the room of requirements, the students in their uniforms are a given. I’m thinking Harry will have the mutt williams hair mold, Luna will most likely reuse her CMF hair, as for Hermione, I’m kind of hoping they make a new mold that finally suits her and reuse for the rest of the movies. 2. The grawp set will have new torsos for Umbridge and Harry, but Hermione wears an outfit which is almost identical to the version in the hogwarts express... mhmm. As for the centaurs, I don’t know if the CW padme hair would be a good fit. 3. I initially thought Ron and Harry wore the same clothes from the whomping willow scene in privet drive, but they will surely get new prints. The shaggy - fred - mr incredible hair molds are somewhat decent options for Vernon. The lupin hair could work for Dudley, and the current Umbridge hairpiece for Petunia. 4. I’m the most curious about the tower. As some mentioned here, it could be based on the slug club party thing. However, Ron and Lavender weren’t present, so they could sport different outfits from another scene. Slughorn wears the same bricktober pack outfit doesn’t he? An updated hairpiece or grad cap would be nice; Neville wears a white waiter outfit which would be fantastic getting; hair looks generic. It would be awesome for Luna to have her strange silver dress. Harry could get a new torso print. Lupin’s hair for Draco would fit nicely, as this time it isn’t swept back as usual. I’m thinking Lavender will probably get a new hairpiece unless they choose to recolor Dorothy’s braids. But being a biiit more realistic, they will probably all come in their student uniforms and the room of requirements will be a cheap way to get 3 of those figures ;) Well this was fun.
-
Oh, the small pleasures in life such as seeing the orange tag in an Eurobricks topic. I’m very happy with the rumors so far. The astronomy tower sounds heavenly. It seems strange to me that the room of requirements supposedly includes 3 figures only. And as I said, I hope we get a 2nd wave consisting of more than 2 sets! Heh.
-
Well this is weird, not a fan of getting the dursley’s house right now. I really want the burrow, but let’s hope we get more than 4-5 sets.
-
Mm, makes sense. I guess I’m not too crazy for anything yule ball anymore hah. By the way, loving the predictions so far guys! I hope it goes something like that, except I’m not a fan of a big set being WWW, I just don’t see it happening for some reason (in that size).
-
5 sets sounds pretty good, but hopefully that’s just one wave Apart from the CMFs, of course. If that’s the case, I wonder if it’ll be one wave per movie, or if they’ll be mixed. Either way we can start guessing? As for the possible yule ball themed calendar, I would rather have a Weasley or Hogsmeade themed one as Huigberts suggested. The remaining Cho, Neville, Ginny, etc would be much more detailed in a CMF, otherwise we’d get lazy re uses.

Hadn’t the Lepin rats gotten their HQ savaged some time ago by the police? Anyway, such a shame that they’re the reason why leaks are over, it was pure magic. And personally, it doesn’t make me want to avoid getting the ones currently being sold to save up, quite the contrary, the hype makes me want to buy the ones I’m missing, but anyway... I hope this year’s characters don’t reuse face prints from other themes. And I certainly hope for another version of McGonagall (either this year or the next), because like Hagrid, she was always portrayed in the same outfit and abandoned, like wham there’s your character, NEXT. So considering how they’re really showing love for variants, my hopes are up. Do you guys think that given the love for this theme, we’ll get superior quality/higher budget this year? (not that it was bad before!!) Characters I’m excited about are Lockhart, variant of Sirius, Bellatrix and Tonks.
-
Right? I don't know if there are big chances, but they threw in Prisoner of azkaban in last year's hogwarts express, and in this year's wave of sets as well, so... Also, if they do the durmstrang ship I hope it won't be a huge expensive set due to the small role it had, but looking at the beauxbatons carriage and its price makes it seem very difficult.
-
Finally got to build the hungarian horntail. I must say that I really really like it, I love its poseability (now I want more articulated HP creatures) However, I hate the fact that its horntail comes off very easily as it's just held together by a stud, not good for playability. Also, the horns on the head stuck on studs with holes pop off easily as well, so I stuck the horns directly onto the head and it's muuh much better that way and they don't come off at all. I really need a 2nd task set and a Karkaroff minifigure.

Have you guys seen the new commercials of the expecto patronum set and the arrival of the beauxbaton carriage? They're funny :) I want to add, one of them has a spoiler XD
