  1. This is extremely magnificent! I love everything about it!
  2. The pieces are really cool! And the hairpieces will probably be compatible with regular minifigs. Too bad I'm going to look odd buying these, among the people in stores, and among my parents :s EDIT: Look what I found!!! EDIT Bonaparte: Link removed on request of LEGO. It looks like a mannequin head (regular minifig head)with one of those hairstyles! The bad thing is that the plastic used for some of the hairpieces looks weird (and by weird I mean, probably cheaper), and some of them actually look like if they have two mixed colors.. I hope they are still protos.
  3. Wow haha! good observation there! If these are right, then there are 4 more figures to go.
  4. Thanks for the clarification! When I saw them I was kind of confused, cause they look old indeed.
  5. "..There’s talk that The Lego Company is planning to release about 23 sets that are themed to target girls. The sets, currently being known as the “Friends” sets is believed to be a sum-theme of Lego City and will include houses, cafes, a vet clinic, beauty shop, stables, and more. Other details of the Lego Friends line include special horses, porcupines, and other animal minifigs, pastel colored bricks with colors to include pinks, purples, tans, and turquoise. Story themes wrapped around 5 girls (animal lover, smart girl, beautician, singer, social girl), and a new design called “mini dolls,” which will be actually smaller than the regular minifig. The sets are scheduled to be launched in 2012, with around 23 sets total. Images were seen on a Chinese auction site (you gotta love the Internet) and when they showed up on Lego fan blogs, the lawyers descended with cease and desist letters and take down notices (which, if you think about it is about as good a confirmation as you need that this is much more than a typical Lego rumor)..." Okay, we already know they aren't smaller than the actual minifigs. And these are the pc games for the line:
  6. These were made for the royal wedding, and they're rare figures.. is there a possibility of seeing these pieces in the future CMF's series? I do think so about the bride and the man's hair and head. Source: Matt the LEGO designer from Flickr
  7. I almost forget about the Paradisa line! Can't really tell how successful these were on THEIR years of release. These sets are very pricey nowadays, but the thing is.. which line would sell more: a girly system theme like this one, or a line with these new sort of figures (forget if the buyers are kids/AFOLS) and then, which two of these lines would sell more to little girls. And what about some kind of program to decide this, would it be useful to decide? Curious, not affirming it though, cause maybe I forgot considering other facts. And yeah, I know maybe this is useless cause LEGO is already planning the release of the new line, but this is just like some sort of "analysis"
  8. Hmm since these figures are actually just a bit taller than the normal sized minifigures then I do think they will be successful, at least on sales for little girls. Still, I'm hoping for another city sub theme based on leisure :) We still don't know all the surprises LEGO has for us!
  9. I'm pretty certain they are. That blond girl has the pop star's hairpiece.
  10. Uhm if you can change their hairstyles then it's not so bad at all. They can bring some good hairstyles for our system minifigs though these look really opaque. I remember some years ago when lego pieces were super shiny ;( An example of an opaque hairpiece could be Bellatrix's hair. Compare that hairpiece with a black ponytail from the 1990's-2008. Sorry for going off-topic
  11. Bonaparte: Pics removed on request of LEGO Despite all the discussion made, and all the cons and pros, they're still pretty lame to me, but that's ME. Who knows what little girls will think of these, and if they get huge success, then there will be no reason for complaining I guess. Couldn't find the other image of the handbags the chinese store had.
  12. Talking about the LEGO theme replacing belville this chinese store was selling. And that we all know LEGO system is better than those things, so why create themes for girls with doll shapes ¬¬
  13. Ahh this is one lovely set, I want it for Christmas. It isn't an exclusive, is it? Hope not. My LEGO set wants are growing and growing by the years. Right now I have so many wants! I remember back in the 2006-2007 when I just had a want list of like 1-2 "fine" sets per year. Now it's like 8+ "Super" sets per year ! Good job TLG!
  14. So those little clickits type dolls are the upcoming ones. How dissapointing, Everyone prefers them "system"
  15. Hmm since this chinese store has some of these lego pictures, and is selling collectible minifigures, are these parts probably upcoming lego pieces or just generic cheap plastic toys? Curious. My link My link it says it's LEGO
  16. These look really good, the only thing I don't like is the alien's body and the skater's face, she doesn't look that "gothic", and her eye shadows/lips are kind of phospho pink, which I don't like. I don't mind this plastic being used, but I do mind the quality of the printings on these latest minifigs: They are peeling off/fading with any minor scratch (the old printing was really strong and durable), that really bothers me.
