Wuuut! A new bricktober pack?!? I hope we see Lockhart!
-
Excited to see what they'll do for the updated Sirius!!! Hopefully they'll realize moodys hairpiece suits him better? I liked his luke hair but accuracy is accuracy!! I also wonder if they will use the same 2010 hairpiece for Bellatrix (Assuming she'll be included seeing how she is relevant from this point forward) I would love to see a new hard plastic one :D Or at least they should print her white hair streaks.

I told myself that I would buy a set per month, but I've been buying like 5 this month Lmao! I just can't resist. I also just purchased the bricktober set and I'm looking at 4 other sets right now #ResponsibleAdult I lowkey want the theme to end next year or in 2021 ? As someone said, I wouldn't be able to keep up with the rhythm of Star Wars.

I live in Mexico so I don't think it matters ?

Found all summer sets in a toy store near me :D Wooh!

I put the Clock tower and great hall together and they look huge and amazing!! I re arranged the sections though, and it looks much better than LEGO's recommended playset. Now I really want to buy the whomping willow and get creative arranging the other sections!

Damn! The face prints are also very smudgy thick and opaque, and I've noticed that several torsos have dents at the bottom. Overall the quality has downgraded, but at least the detail on the sets and minifigs make up for it.

I'm building the clock tower right now and I noticed that the clear "icy decorations" are yellowish asf, I put them on the table and I was like, ummm, something's not right. And indeed, they look yellowed next to the clear goblets. Am I the only one? I mean, I bought it sealed from the lego store..

I didn't initially like the advent calendar, but seeing how it includes some useful furniture to add some "faux depth" to the 3 sets combined, then I think I'll get it. It can give the illusion of the great Hall being bigger even. The figures are pretty much recycled though, but it doesn't come as a surprise since Marcos Bessa said in an interview that it was a late request for this year since the theme was doing really well.

Hopefully they'll have fixed Krum's face by then.

The new sets flew off the shelves at my local lego store and the only one left was Hagrid's Hut so I picked it up. Good thing is they're restocking this coming tuesday, but I sooo wanted to get my hands over the clock tower so I could build it tomorrow morning, I looove building in the mornings! It's extremely calming and enjoyable.

There's a 360° video on youtube of the carriage and the beauxbaton hat indeed has a ponytail.

I'm looking for a picture of all the 2018 and 2019 sets put together, if someone has a picture I would love to see it. Can't find anything on youtube or ig.

2020: the risky year for LEGO. Repetitive, but it just seems they are trying to get the most out of the dreamworks/illumination license so this theme makes sense. And as someone pointed out earlier, illumination will be in charge of the new Shrek reboot supposedly coming out this year (or at this point next year maybe) so Shrek must be a given, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Shrek > minions > trolls

Ok so after years of waiting for discounts they're finally here, don't know if to get the express, Quidditch match or whomping willow though. I don't want to get all of them right now, so out of those 3 which one is your favorite guys?

I went to my local lego store and they told me the sets would be arriving anywhere between June-July. Oh well, why even try to rush time :P I will finish reading the books instead of calling the store again ha ha, I guess I'll take a casual walk around the store in the coming weeks and let myself be surprised! Btw I scored 18/20 on the test! Having read one of the books actually got me one right without even owning the set haha. You guys probably know which one :D

Yule ball maxime's dress appears to have that metallic pink color Elsa got for her eyeshadow, which really adds to the elegance.
-
Oh, for some reason I thought the clock tower would be much taller/bigger than the great hall ? Once I get the WW too i will find a way to arrange its sections to make it look less plain.

I don't think it's hate at all, but rather lack of interest. I personally think it's very sleek and accurate like never before, but I see no fun in the vehicle itself. Perhaps if it had a feature that made it contract and expand it would call my attention, but that's asking for the moon and the stars. Either way I don't discard the possibility of getting it but I will get it last.

1. Clock Tower. Love the exterior, interior and the unique minifigs. 2. Hungarian Horntail. Yes it looks like a bird but I'm a sucker for poseability. 3. Hagrid's Hut. My first one ever and what a terrific revamp. 4. Expecto Patronum. Honestly I feel like the horntail, hut and this one are at the same level for me. 5. Beauxbatons carriage. As others said, odd choice for a set but a welcome surprise just like the yule ball although I would've preferred more PoA or a 2nd task set. 6. Rise of Voldy. Awesome minifigs, but the set itself just doesn't do it for me. GLAD I have the previous one ?? 7 & 8. Knight bus and Advent Calendar, since I don't know the contents of the latter they're as equally unappealing to me at the moment. All in all, these new waves kick kardashian butt. They're giving us new characters, plus several minifigs in just one set. So many that we went from having zero Fleurs to 3 variants in one year! That, plus the details of the sets. Take my money already! PS: I wouldn't mind getting a 2nd task set still ?

Does anyone have a link to what someone from LEGO said about wanting this theme to be evergreen? Or was it just a supposition/rumour? (note: I'm aware of the posts commenting about the sales and all that) If this theme is soon to go back to the grave, I feel obliged to get every single one of them. However if this will be like SW I don't see myself drowning in lego pieces, just picking up my favorites. To be honest the 2010-2011 sets weren't that appealing to me, but this time around the color schemes, details and minifigures are everything a lego fan could hope for.

Pleeease share that when you do it! Would love to see it!

What a freaking pleasant surprise I love you TLG <333333

Hopefully they get released June 1st in Mexico. I will give the lego store a call on the 20th of this month. I hope they keep the sets from last year on the shelves so I go crazy with such variety.
