  1. With CMFs I don’t usually go to the lego store because it can get very cramped and crowded, so I go to a toy store nearby where I can comfortably feel the bags. I must say I will miss that exciting treasure hunting sensation lol, feeling for the pieces and such. I always got the ones I wanted. I really hope Lockhart and Tonks are in the CMF by the way. This series has the potential to be my favorite ever.
  2. I had looked up the masked singer thing but only articles hinting at emma watson possibly being the anonymous kitty contestant came up, which only reinforces the possibility of cat Hermione. Lupin could be possible, but a hermione figure is pretty much confirmed by kingnono and we’d have to leave out the rumoured tonks OR lockhart, leaving us either without a hufflepuff or ravenclaw to meet the 2 per house minimum... Lupin is another gryffindor.
  3. I wonder if Hermione will have a regular head and a cat headgear with molded hair, or if her entire head will be a mold. I prefer the former, but I do hope she comes with the hair bit because CMF Luna was missing that (they probably left it out because they knew it would be a good reusable piece and putting blonde hair in it would annoy many lego collectors?) With CMF I’ll take accuracy over reusability anytime anyway. Also, I don’t think we will have Lucius in this CMF, his variants don’t scream for an extra effort in detailing. He could have a death eater variant in a ministry set and the regular outfit in DA, reusing the hairpiece, legs and head (alternate expressions, one with a death eater mask) Lockhart will likely come in his blue robes in DA, we can get him in the mauve robes in a chamber of secrets set and there’s the dueling club outfit. Whether we get a future CoS set in the future or not, we have 2 possible variants for the CMF here. I think Tonks and Lockhart are the remaining slots. Tonks is easily CMF material with her changeable hair colors alone, perhaps they are pulling a Bellatrix with her as well (one simple version in a set/one more detailed in the CMF?)
  4. A minifigure pack? Wait no, this is too surreal already. I wonder if they would be completely generic students or actual characters like Parvati, Ernie/Justin Finch, Padma and Pansy?
  5. What is everyone’s favorite year of LEGO Harry Potter so far? There’s still some stuff left to reveal but I think we’ve been shown a lot already. For me, it’s been in chronological order: from least favorite to most favorite. 2018’s awe for me was mainly because of the nostalgia of the theme coming back, but for some reason the sets themselves didn’t make me want to get them day one. 2019 was a lot more exciting since I love GoF and we finally got characters never designed before. And this year just seems surreal for Harry Potter! The details and character variants, woah.
  6. Yes! I had almost forgotten about it. I wonder what the final price would’ve been if they left those features in? I think even the ceiling was a biiit taller. Damn, today’s posts are really inspiring me to mod these sets
  7. I want more clues regarding the unknown set
  8. Yeah, but among the existing pieces I think it’s the most accurate one. I used to think poopy’s skirt would be a neat option, but it’s incredibly short on regular legs. Tutu definitely not, and the cloth is too long and tight. I think batgirl’s skirt captures the 90’s feel to it, anyway.
  9. Isn’t this the same color as 2002 Mary Jane’s hair? If so, her hair will do the trick I guess. I’m going to try it right now haha. Also, batgirl’s pink skirt from the CMF will probably work for Lavender.
  10. I really hope we don’t get Lily or James in the CMF, they would be wasted spots to me So the most probable minifigures, minus the ones that could appear in Diagon Alley are: Pomfrey, Crabbe, Goyle, Rita, Tonks? There’s 2 left. We could probably get Karkaroff too. I was thinking, maybe we could have 2 variants for Lucius and Lockhart each. One in the CMF and one in Diagon Alley, but I don’t know if that would be too much? In the CMF, Lucius in his Ootp death eater costume and Lockhart in his grey duel uniform. In Diagon Alley, Lucius in his regular elegant robes and Lockhart in his blue robes? EDIT: I totally forgot about the 2 per house thing AccioLego mentioned above, nevermind. Though I would loove a duel Lockhart! Maybe in a future set?
  11. Guys, LEGO uploaded a story on instagram where you can submit a question for the LIVE designer Q&A tomorrow. I’m sure some of you are curious about one thing or another regarding Harry Potter? Anyway just wanted to let you all know. The prices here are expensive as always but they’ve been consistent with last year’s. Love the displays from you all by the way. Maybe in the near future I’ll find the motivation to mod the sets and add to them. I wanna know, is it possible to keep built sets in like new condition? I want to keep them from yellowing, scratching, losing luster, etc. Many of my minifigs that were already a biit yellowed and have been stored in a very dark place, keep discoloring even more. I don’t know if humidity plays a part here? Also, my 2010 HP minifigures are pretty much intact but their articulation has become very rigid, I don’t know why.
  12. Same! I feel free to arrange the sections however I please, even if they don’t connect. Weird coming from me since I don’t dare modify one bit of the castle or even minifigures lol.
  13. I had commented exactly that, it looks even flatter when you compare it to the clock tower, but I don’t hate it either. True, I just hope they focus more on the builds and not on giving us more minifigures. The water ball and the fire snake some suggested would be rad!
  14. Ooh, it would probably come with just Voldy, Harry and Dumbledore? I wonder how Dumbledore would look since we already got that variant in the first CMF. I think all 3 figures are bound to look repetitive, unless we get Percy and/or Fudge as well.
  15. Didn’t Marcos Bessa design the Disney Castle? I swear I can sense a bit of his “signature” in the astronomy tower interior! It actually reminds me of the Disney Castle’s interior. To be fair, absolutely everything unrelated to LEGO HP and only LEGO HP, is supposed to not go here lol. Even the COVID discussion. Anywaaay where were we? Oh yeah, Claire Dearing supplanted Ginny Weasley Jk
  16. I must say this section of Hogwarts is my favorite so far, it’s full of details and rooms I personally liked the inclusion of the sand green, it makes it look more vibrant. The tower facade definitely looks a lot flatter when you compare it to the clock tower, but the side build, the turret, the green house and interiors make up for it. The burrow, man... I have no words, it puts the 2010 one to shame, and that one was stunning when it came out. It’s perfect!! The room of requirements surprised me in the sense that I didn’t expect it to have an “exterior” and I’m very very pleased with the interior. I might have to get a second one to use it as a common room or something, or maybe to just add some more depth. The forbidden forest is okay, I mean the main focus are the characters. I think Grawp is well done. I don’t care about privet drive however, and honestly I wouldn’t even be willing to pay half the price for it (Still too expensive in pesos) Now to the minifigs. Honestly 95% of my excitement comes from the sets themselves, the figs are the least exciting aspect to me; they’re okay, but I specially despise the ones from the burrow. That Ginny is horrendous IMO, and looks straight out of Jurassic World. As her first appearance since the reboot, this is unfair to her lol. Absolutely hate that face print and its second cringe expression, they both look a lot like Fleur’s gestures (daring smile/cringe) I see they made her christmas outfit instead of the bathrobe; that’s a very plain outfit and the bathrobe would’ve been more interesting. Arthur and Fenrir are a slight improvement, specially their torso prints; Tonks looks pretty boring; they literally had the possibility of making Hermione’s hair in orange yet they chose an inaccurate one to recolor. Bellatrix is a downgrade and Harry is okay.
  17. Privet Drive, Burrow, AT, FF, RoR, Hedwig, Diagon Alley, unknown set, CMF, advent calendar, that’s 10. Plus the polybag, GWP and two (?) brickheadz, that’s a total of 14.
  18. Ahh, woke up in a good mood today and thought... these pictures WILL come out sooner than expected. *proceeds to check the ig* What can I say? The sets look fantastic! The detail is aaamazing. Kind of disappointed with the figures, but I don’t really care... I understand this reboot has been giving us a lot more detail in the sets and more characters.
  19. ‘Tis gone. Now that I’m at my parents’ home thanks to covid, I will get to build some 2002, 2005 and 2010 harry potter sets, I’m excited!
  20. Exactly this. Plus the lines are way too thin and some details are incredibly small and fine. Looks like the pics have been taken down btw.
  21. Well, we still have to see what the remaining 17 figures look like, excluding Grawp. (3 from the AT, 2 from the RoR, 1 from the FF, 5 from PV and 6 from the burrow) Not to mention the rumoured extra set? (Not getting my hopes up) Some of these are super predictable and seemingly uninteresting such as Harry and Hermione from the RoR, but still...
  22. I hope the wait for the reveals/leaks is reeeally worth it and they don’t end up suprising us with several boring figures Not worried about the builds, I know they’ll be amazing (unless they give us rooms in the style of the great hall tower)
  23. Where are yewww? and I’m so sorry, I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight
