  1. My recent orders have been to complete builds or MOCs, so it's a fairly standard part list. Not done an order just for interesting parts for a while, although a could sneak in here and there, doesn't feel special enough to show off specifically.
  2. I'd love either, ideally both. The mouse is so cute, but you could make a nice scene with a flock of flamingos.
  3. They look good. I wonder if the clown fish will be in a future set, and if so, will it cost less than $5 on Pick a Brick...
  4. TMP or TOS versions of the Enterprise would be good. I wonder if they'd do it at the same scale, so that the model would be half the size. The SkyFox2K ones I've been doing are about that size and were really fun to put together. I think they were so fun because they had all the structural techniques and clever use of the parts to create the shapes, but things came together more quickly. At the end of the day, I'm quibbling over small things (by which I mean large, but a small negative). As I look behind me at it, it really does bring a smile!
  5. Over the last year I've been rewatching TNG from the beginning, often while building the midi scale sets from Skyfox2K on Rebrickable, awaiting the official Enterprise D. Well, I managed to time it pretty perfectly, finishing the build with 90 seconds of the final episode remaining. It looks great. A really fabulous model that I never would have thought possible in LEGO at this scale. It's also incredibly solid in a way that's totally unexpected. I'm so pleased they did it and I hope that more come in the future. Having said that, I think the build suffered from it being too large. Building the midi scale MOCs was terrific as lots of clever connections were used to achieve the shapes and you got to experience them very quickly. With this, the shape creation took that much longer that the experience was a little too diluted. The principles were very clever, but having to create such large repeating sections also felt a little slow. It's still very good, but there wasn't the same delight in techniques that you get in a modular, for example. The only thing that really seems odd is the deflector dish and why they don't have the concentric pattern. Fortunately, RDE260 on Rebrickable has a great looking MOC which I've ordered the parts for, so hope to update it (along with a lighting kit) soon. Oh, and the shuttle should have been a standard set, because it's just not right locking that behind such a limited release. Here's hoping to more sets in the future.
  6. I ordered WALT after watching Racing Brick's review. It's small and cheap enough to consider it just for the build experience, which looked really good, and I liked the well thought out internals and face storage options. I agree that it doesn't fill one of the popular niches, but it's delightfully whimsical.
  7. Curious. Very impressive to achieve this and suggests they will keep going for a while. I didn't get the General Store from series 1, but with the later train decided to get it. Found it for only $20 over RRP, so hopefully that continues, although at the same time, it feels like these are becoming more widely known about and bought to build with fewer being bought for resale as there isn't much in it.
  8. Oh wow, yes. They're sold out in the US too. StoneWars is showing that only 37,000 of the Fortuna and Sushi Restaurant are sold and 40,000 of the Alchemist's Shop, so they're not getting up to the 50,000 limit originally thought. Total sales across series 7 are 143,500 so far with a few hours left. https://www.stonewars.de/news/bdp-series-7-finale-designs/
  9. My series 6 sets are arriving today apparently. Outlaw Forest Den is probably the first I'll build, although I still have Castle in the Forest on my 'to build next' pile, but it always gets bumped by something else! I really need to do both of them and the Lion Knights Castle before the end of winter.
  10. I've just had an order shipped but they cancelled one part in it, which is a shame. Hope it comes back in stock for a future order.
  11. And now all of them say funded. I wonder how successful this round will be compared to previous ones.
  12. Direct links for purchasing if anyone is having trouble with Bricklink. Privateer Frigate Fortuna - https://www.lego.com/en-us/cart?product=910059 Sushi Restaurant - https://www.lego.com/en-us/cart?product=910060 Antique Collection - https://www.lego.com/en-us/cart?product=910061 Alchemist's Shop - https://www.lego.com/en-us/cart?product=910062 W.A.L.T. - https://www.lego.com/en-us/cart?product=910063
  13. Agreed, it's very neat to have the stary night fold up inside the dog house. It looks good overall too. Better shaping and style than the original. But kind of a shame that it's three times as many pieces. I suppose it makes a lot of sense as the dog house is so iconic for Snoopy, but it's a shame that we've gone from what might have been a $30 set to a $90 one, when a $30 one would probably have worked pretty well.
  14. Agreed. The monkey looks really odd being dual moulded, but with no printing. I wonder if they've been able to get special permission to take these elements out of the production process before printing, or whether they will appear in other official sets at some point?
  15. There are so many that I like (but still less than 10%). Some are repeats/variations, and I've tried to give more weight to the ones with smaller piece counts (or discounted ones that were just going to be too expensive. As other have said, the Training Ground is pretty awesome and a great looking model. I hope this is the castle set that's chosen - [The Training Ground] [BrickLink] Followed closely by this, which is so charming - [Moonlight Flight] [BrickLink] Medieval civilians | [Medieval Stonemasons Guild v2.0] [BrickLink] I bought the original Stonemasons Guild from the MOC pop-up store and loved it, so hope this can make it. Or the full thing - [Medieval Cathedral] [BrickLink]. [Deep Forest Headquarters] [BrickLink] is possibly a bit too fantasy for many, but I love the chaos of it. Wizard Tower | [Dark Wizards Keep] [BrickLink] - Not as tall as others, but the floating effect is great. [Wizard's Tower] [BrickLink] has a lovely shape. Kraken Knights | [Hydra Shipyard] [BrickLink] - Probably my favourite of the Kraken Knight options. [Tentacles in Raft] [BrickLink] - But I rather like this small little build with a fun function too. [Watchers of the Midnight Sea] [BrickLink] - And this is pretty ominous too. It's hard to choose. Griffin Knights | [Crimson Isle] [BrickLink] | [Crimson Isle] [BrickLink] I cut down all but one of the Griffin Knights options due to repetition, lackluster interior, or size. And although this is huge, it seems to have enough presence to warrant it. Wild West | [Fort Huck] [BrickLink] - It's large, but a nice looking fort with variety of content and styles. [Wild West Train Station] [BrickLink] - This would be great to add to the other buildings and for the trains in previous series. [Sunset in San Gelo - Western Scene] [BrickLink] - The many secret parts of this tipped me over the edge. [The Barber & the Photographer] [BrickLink] - I liked the range of things in this one and the brick-built vultures are great. Monster Fighters | [The Dark Village] [BrickLink] I liked this last time, although I'd worry about the cost of it. Space | Who doesn't love space pirates?! [Yellow Bee - A Space Pirate Adventure] [BrickLink] and [Black Beacon and Yellow Bee - A Space Pirate Castle Story] [BrickLink]. I also rather liked the 50s space vibe of this - [The HELMET - a 50's space diner] [BrickLink]. And this - [The Space Café] [BrickLink]. Steampunk | [Steampunk city] [BrickLink] looks pretty cool and the attention to detail on the base makes me think the rest will be great. [The Cloudbreaker] [BrickLink] is a cool machine to go with it. [Sky Pirates] [BrickLink] is just fabulous, but it didn't make it las time. Cyberpunk | [Cyberpunk City] [BrickLink] The rendering lighting may be doing some of the work here, but it feels really good. As does this - [Jungle Planet Islanders] [BrickLink] Trains | [Signal Box - Brickingham] [BrickLink] is a lovely, small-ish addition. [Steam Locomotive] [BrickLink] mostly I like the dark green colour, but bonus points for planned motorization. Christmas | [Family gathering at the Winter Cottage] [BrickLink] - The roofline is great and I voted for it last time. Buildings | I always like Bricky_Bricks designs and think they will be a fun build - [The Old Garage] [BrickLink] and [Coastal Base] [BrickLink]. [Firehouse] [BrickLink] - love the colours of this and the engine. [Grand Victorian] [BrickLink] and [Queen Anne Victorian] [BrickLink] are great houses but would likely be very expensive. Miscellaneous that caught my attention | [Silverwood] [BrickLink] - I suspect it won't get chosen, but it feels elegant. [Anatomy of The Human Heart] [BrickLink] - Likewise, won't get chosen, but I think it's great. [Art of Japan] [BrickLink] - And this is another really elegant design. [The Moon: One Giant Leap for Mankind] [BrickLink] - And this.
  16. There are so many entries! I'm going to try and look through, but it's somewhat overwhelming.
  17. Oh, I though the butterflies were white from the blurry leaks, so aqua is a new colour for them.
  18. Agree with you on this. All three of those have active media aimed at children, so both playsets and an 18+ set would make sense.
  19. A lot of the vending machine and 3 in 1 Creator castle minifigure parts are now restocked and labelled as Bestsellers in the US, so hopefully easier to get hold of.
  20. After spending quite a while doing large orders manually, I found a browser extension called BrickHunter that makes it so easy - BrickHunter - Chrome Web Store You can get a parts list from Rebrickable or Bricklink, paste it into BrickHunter, and it will then allow you to create LEGO PAB carts. I've found it to be more reliable than Bricklink's Easy Buy option, although it's worth noting that LEGO PAB has cart limits of no more than 200 unique elements in each of Bestseller or Standard, which has sometimes thrown it. There is a 'Split' function built into BrickHunter to try and resolve this and create two separate orders, but I feel like I've lost parts in the process before as I miss pieces during the build. What I don't know is whether it's the split function, the parts list conversion, or the original inventory that was inaccurate as I've not thoroughly investigated. But in general it's been really good and it's fabulously quick. I started using it before you could upload a parts list to PAB. I've also tried doing that, but find that errors (wrong part number, out of stock, not available) are more troublesome to deal with.
  21. Thanks! I loved the two BDP sets and someone told me about his third (failed) submission bring made as instructions. So I hopped onto it and got the parts. Really fun and whimsical, along with some very clever building.
  22. It's closer to the original Ideas design than the Tuxedo cat, so the cut should definitely be shared with the fan designer!
  23. It very much is. I'm looking forward to use some of them in this (Jonas Kramm's creations).
  24. JANG did a video suggesting adding an additional clear backed sticker, which sounds like a good idea. Shame there isn't a blue Minifigure in the set either.
