How else do you expect me to gain XP. You already took away the merman from us. Besides, it wasn't my fault.

Heroica RPG - Quest #42: The Meaning Of It All

"Sarge! What are you trying to do? Seriously! Okay, everyone, I suggest that we leave the skeleton untargetted. He will only end up healing the others, and either my or Adam's sheild can easily eat up the free hit from him. I suggest Sarge takes on Almite Bob, since he's the one who got us into this mess in the first place. But because I'm nice, I'll forgive him this time around. Besides, he's new. Erdy, what do you think we should do? You could target Almite Bob, but it would be sad if you were sealed, so I don't know if you want to risk it. Otherwise, Adam could. I don't know if we should try our hardest to keep Albert in the fight or not. If we want to, then you should probably target him, but if not we can leave him for Sarge or myself. An important thing to remember though is that once Adam starts fighting one person, he seems to have a hard time changing targets, so...- 892 replies

Speaking of Quest #53: Zepher, why is it that it takes so long to read your quests? It's better started and I already can't keep up with what's been said. Way to go! Now to figure out a way to schedule a slot of my day which I can use to read it. What the hell! WBD, did you really have to sell all of that for cheap. I'm sure some hero somewhere would've bought that stuff. Such a shame to see Leojagd go.

Um...didn't he invite her to join them for dinner? So you need permission to comfort people nowadays? What has Eubric come to!

I don't know if you can say that. Many of these "instincts" are not born into us as many may think, but are developed as we move on in life, but I guess there's no use arguing about this point. I guess one of the problems that I see with Game of Thrones is the way that a lot of their attitudes don't match up with the timing (if related to the world) when the story takes place. It seems that modern and medieval way of thinking, etc are kind of forced together in an attempt to make a mixed world, but I don't think it's worth me going on about. I'll just keep quiet about this. ...Until I feel led to start again.

"Not too sure at present. We were on our way to Shelbric, but with the goods that we bought from you, I'm not sure if we need to continue on our way. I have been looking for a sapphire for some time, you know." I turn to Bob and whisper so that Adam can't hear. "You say you have a quarrel to settle with a certain Dr. Trice, eh? I do a lot of travelling, as I'm sort of a wandering hermit, so there's a chance, albeit a very small one, that I may run into him on one of my travels. Can you describe his appearance for me? Furthermore, what would you give if I could bring him to you? You know, there's always more motivation for finding a criminal if one knows what the reward will be first."- 892 replies

What? That we make dumb choices to achieve procreation?

"Thank you, Erdy! Mr. 'Bob,' was it? I'd like to purchase an amethyst and a sapphire from you, if I may. That would be 180 gold together. I would also like to sell this old cross and purchase that broomstick. I see great potential in it. I'd also like to purchase 2 remedies and 4 smoke bombs please. 273-180=93-60=33+25=58-16=42-12=30 gold remaining. Many thanks!- 892 replies

And, yes, Dyric goes assassin! I knew it! Same here.

Okay, I made a mistake in saying that it could have been great without it, I don't think it could have been with or without it. Honestly, I'm somewhat disappointed that they took a perfectly fascinating concept and made a, somewhat lame series from it. But that's just my opinion and in all honesty, I didn't see the whole thing, as it got rather tiresome. I don't know what I disliked about it though, and it certainly can't only be tied down to the sex, but I think it was just used a bit too much. ...nevermind.

This must be a mistake. Shamens are supposed to bare-chested.

I'll probably buy two gems now. I have a diamond in my staff and then I'll probably purchase the WP: 6 broomstick which I'll embue with an amethyst, but which other gem would you recommend for me to purchase and for which weapon?
-
Oh, no! Game of Throne's biggest screw-up. It could have been great without all that.

"Erdy," I cough. "You may want to purchase a couple of smelling salts, since they're rather cheap here." A lucky and hastened druid would be very useful for battles with multiple enemies. I will purchase some stuff now, but I need a bit more time to look over each of the gems so I will know which ones to purchase, and I don't have that time now. Maybe when I finish work. Hope it's not a bother.- 892 replies

And on apocalypse day! This can't be a good omen. By the way, has the end of the world happened yet? I couldn't log on this morning.

"Oh, oops, I just realized that I don't have 200 gold available. How's 150? I turn to Erdy and whisper, "Erdy, I'm sure Dr. Trice will repay us once we get back, otherwise, we can refuse to turn the shard over, but would you mind paying for it this time around. You have more gold than I, and I want to make some purchases myself. But I don't know if you want to make any purchases yourself. Just let me know."- 892 replies

Yes, Etzel, superb quest! No words really, but I found this one every more interesting than your last one, and I loved that one too!

"Alright, maybe 600 was an incredible bargain, but it has been done before, so Mythril really can't be that expensive. It's just over-rated in my opinion. Nowhere, ever have I seen a full Mythril cost over 1,000 gold. Ever! I'll offer 200 gold, but you are practically robbing me to accept such a price. Oh, and on the receipt could you just write that you sold it to us for 150? It would encourage future sellers to sell to us for a better price as well. "- 892 replies

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Palathadric replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This house is too brilliant (or rather the creator is ) Just wondering, what pieces did you use for the wall? They aren't regular plates, are they? I love the stairs and the vines on the wall. The little round "tower" also looks great! -
Tried it out and got this: So I think it could just be the colour of the top plate that looks bad. I think it's very_light_trans_blue or something. I'm thinking though that since the transparency hardly gets through the second layer, much less the third, I'll just settle for three layers. Let me see how that works out. By the way, this took approximately 12 hours to render, so not great either. Though I have to say that this render does look a lot better than the last one.

No, I need the money now. But I shouldn't have bothered asking you. With that kind of money you could buy up Guts and he could give you the full amount after just one quest. Well, he couldn't very well say, "I read about a hero in one quest in a faraway land..." How believable is that? Please, don't ask how believable the first one is though.

"Just how powerful is this staff? If it's as powerful as you're making it sound, then killing this Dr. Trice may be a lot more difficult than you're making it sound. Now, that hardly seems an option, so let's get down to business. I know a friend who bought mythril, not just a shard mind you, for 600 pieces of gold. Yup, that's right. 600 pieces. Now since it takes around four shards to create a full one, I will place an offer of 150 pieces of gold for that shard. We're not that rich as I'm sure you can see. Heck, I even had to sell my gold bars because I've completely run out of coin. We would be 70 gold the better if my companion wouldn't have such a love for fancy shields that he wasted his gold on one that he won't even be able to use. So what do you say? You need the gold we could use the shard. 150 seems reasonable, no?"- 892 replies

I suppose so. They are different. I guess as an outside observer, it's always more tiresome to read quests with lengthy battles and huge enemy descriptions, but for those actually participating it is quite a challenge and part of the fun. I somehow have the feeling that whenever I host a quest my battles are going to get out of hand and become more confusing then anything else. Will have to watch out for that. Again I'll say that I find it amusing how the enemies in some of the battles in the old days were astoundingly weak. Power: 2 HP: 15/15 Six heroes have to take this monster down.
