"Makes other members' internet speeds seem ridiculously fast" For saying that my internet runs at 20kbps on a good day. Given by Brickdoctor.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

I take on Bugbear Caster A and B from the Front Row with my Dual Staff. JimB, not sure if this is what you want me to do or not. If I land a hit I'd kill both of them, but alternatively, I could take on the remaining Driad to deal 100 damage from the back row or 128 from the front. -
BD, I blame you! Anything is better than being a bumbling breathing apparatus.
-
Wireless? What's that? I think mine advertised 1 mbps, but we all knew that if we got 10kbps we were lucky. Yeah, the infrastructure is not setup well for all of those things here, but we make do with what we have.

So apparently Dreyrugr and Pretzel have even more in common than I thought.
-
Yes of course.

"Thank you," I say, accepting the Medal of Glory and Equip it and loan Stegveladi my Ethereal Cloak and my Diamond. "In case you can use it," I say, referring to the Diamond. "Anyone else want to borrow one of my weapons? If not, I'm good to go." -
Yep, but it was very short.

Too much joy would be lost in having the pictures removed. I will wait and then save the page tonight when I can load it all. I have it saved as an mhtml right now, but it still doesn't load well. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. I rejoice when our connection runs at 20kbps. 10kbps is pretty usual, but sometimes it's far less.

"If it's all the same to you, would you mind if I use it for the first fight? That would enable me to equip three artifacts from the next fight on." -
Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

Does somebody else want to borrow one of Pretzel's weapons? He'll probably be mainly using the Dual-Staff as most of the enemies we will be encountering will probably be Beasts and Vermin and suchlike? -
Thanks.

The first post of the Training Room is a nightmare to load for me with all the pictures. Just wondering if either Battle Mages or Evokers can Meditate.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Palathadric replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I enter the Fields of Glory, gazing in awe at the unusual scene around me. "Fascinating place," I mumble. I am a little less fascinated when I see the party I'm questing with. A demon, a weird brown fellow, the odd dwarf, another massive beast, and...well...Sylph, the druid. How did I manage to get myself into this, I wonder, looking around somewhat frantically. Then the dwarf begins to speak... "I should like to borrow that medal, dwarf. If you want I have this Ethereal Cloak which would probably suit you much more than it does me...or these Soothing Slippers, but I'm not sure if you're one for meditation." I say my piece and then keep quiet, still feeling uncomfortable. I imbued my Topaz and Opal into my Dual Staff. Wow, I'm the lowest-leveled hero here. How'd that happen? I lean over to Sylph and whisper. "I know you may not use it much and all, due to your need for healing us, but do you want to hold onto the Heavy Flail for now? I can't see myself using it whilst in these Fields, and besides, you're more apt to hit than I am." "Perhaps we should try the Apple Orchard," I venture to say more loudly, but still timidly. Perhaps I should try to blend in. Wouldn't want one of these magic wielders or the whole lot of them turning on me. -
"Well, I'll be...I almost forgot." I dart out of the hall.
-
No! Just after I placed a bet that you would pass 42 for length of quest.
-
I rush over to Anwyl's and have him imbue my newly acquired Topaz and Opal into my slightly less newly acquired Dual-Staff, handing him 100 gold for his efforts.
-
Apple Orchard for me. Corn Maze has 0 in the way of loot.
-
"Seem? You're not sure?"
-
"A witch, taming God! I applaud the effort it must have taken, while mocking the idea. 'Asinine' a worthy expression to be sure. Never trust those witches, I say. They only spell trouble. About this one, I assume by your use of past tenses that your chase ended successfully?"
-
I cast a glance at the list myself. Hmm...the druid is there again. I look around the hall to see if I can spy him somewhere. The other names are unfamiliar to me and rather strange-sounding to. Stigveladi must be the dwarf. I turn to Hoke again. "So, Ablesword, fine name by the way, have you been a hero from some time? It would certainly seem so, if that shield were anything to go by. Where have your quests taken you so far?"
-
"Of course," I say knowledgeably, before second-looking. What the devil? I then see the massive beast discussing with a wrapped up human. Don't tell me that they're accepting ogres as heroes now! What is the world coming to?
-
Not sure yet. I'm still not sure if I have all my equipment together the way I want it.
-
No worries. By Level 50 you'll be able to get real prophecies. I fought long and hard, but I've arrived. Now I die that there are no more worlds to conquer.
-
"Thank you, lad! Take." I hand Tarn 75 Gold and accept his Opal. "I can't say I've seen you around. Are you a newcomer to the hall? ...Hmm...the armour that you wear would suggest otherwise though." "I can only imagine. I would ask if I could borrow it for our short stint in the Fields, but I know if I had such a shield I would have a hard time letting it out of my sight," I chuckle.
