  1. I wriggle away quickly. Know and love? It's rare that I'm in such an awkward state. "You are a were-reptile!" I exclaim loudly, jumping back. "Don't get any funny ideas. The world would be well, rid of your kind. I knew you always had a strange look to you, demon. I cannot believe I once considered you party leader." I draw Conspirator. "I suggest you remove yourself from my way, lest I pierce you through. It would be no more than you deserve. Why don't you disturb someone else. Oh, look, there's a demon...bloodsucker...there, why not prey on his pale flesh." My hand feels in the cart the Heavy Flail...
  2. "Benji! Went and turned a monster on me? May God watch over your calloused soul. What has gotten into you...so to speak." I edge a bit further away, preferring not to be touched by the scaly arm.
  3. "Ack! Who...what the devil are you?" I cry, dismayed. "Step away or I will have your head." I reach for Conspirator. What the devil does he mean by "long time, no see?" Trying to tell me we've met before? This beast? I should think not. I quickly scan through my brain whom among the heroes I quested with it could be, settling finally on just three: the vampire, the druid, or Benji. I keep my sword drawn slightly. "Um...do I know you?"
  4. The Guardian Knights are especially awesome! Great job, Sandy!
  5. "I say, how much?" Did Guts buy the grating stone?
  6. Don't worry about it, Endgame! You can use the bosses I've made thus far without contacting me.
  7. UsernameMDM, I would imagine your Cultist hat would go for the same price as the Pseudos Hood was sold for, which was 75, but I guess it may not be because it's not actually one of Fabian's items. Darn! Hybros is going to go and live with the gnomes. No fair, CMP!
  8. Great quest, CMP. I wish Pretzel could have been on it to help Maurice beat some Paladin sense into Thalion, and perhaps a Cross of Light into Hybros.
  9. I am somewhat startled as the big, bald raider is suddenly at my table demanding gold from me, but then... He wants to buy this stone for 250 gold? What kind of...? My first thoughts are to smack the man across the face with my steak for his insolence. What was he talking about the sword for anyone, but suddenly I realize what he's offering me... "250 for the stone? Done!" I exclaim, handing the stone to him quickly lest he remove his offer whilst the stone was still in my possession.
  10. "I have to say, I dislike shopping immensely, which is one reason why I did not want to sell it, because it will force me to go to the marketplace and look for something else to replace it with. Furthermore, I would really have liked to try this robe out in a quest, as it's a comfortable fit and has a certain vitality to it, but you clearly have more need of it than I. I dislike speaking on money issues as well. It tiresome at best and, in some circles, has the tendency to turn friends into enemies, but it is unfortunately necessary sometimes. May this robe serve you well, druid. 240 gold it is." I hand Sylph the Robe of the Archmagi in exchange for 240 gold. A bald barbarian looking fellow with a crafty eye enters the hall. I tend to recall him being an unpleasant chap. Fresh from a quest, possibly with a coin or two to spend, I muse. I remove Conspirator from its sheath and prepare to sharpen its surface with the grating stone. Where did that grating stone get to? I dig through my cart, before pulling it out proudly.
  11. Don't forget a very artistic one.
  12. "Ack! You can't complain. There was little suitable for you and I gave you what I could. The demon stole all the best loot. It was also not really your place to question me over my distribution of the loot..." I stare long and hard at the druid. Friend? What an unusual character. I don't even know his face and yet he calls me a friend. I sigh. Why did my conscience always burn a hole in my heart whenever I overcharge someone. "Look, I can't operate on my expenses surpassing my sales, but I will do what I can. You have served well and are deserving of this cloak. How would..." my mind travels quickly, trying to recall how much I originally bought the robe for, "...250 gold sound?"
  13. It's funny how Pretzel now has reputation with three houses/factions that I would never have considered giving him reputation for. I mean, seriously, the Guild of Invision is full of vampires, Count Shadeaux may as well be a vampire and the Shadeaux are pretty sinister and bat-like in general , and then he got reputation with the Wolfgang of all things. The only houses I would have thought to give him reputation for would have been the Bonapartes, the Town Watch, and, possibly, the Hinckwells, but it's awesome the way it is. I wasn't too thrilled about it at first, but I actually think it's pretty awesome that Pretzel got Wolfgang reputation in this last quest against his and my wishes.
  14. "Sister? No, no, you must be mistaken. I was speaking to the dwarf there." I point out Stigveladi. "As far as the Robe is concerned, I bought it for 300 coin and have not even had a chance to use it as you hoarded it the whole quest. To sell it for a price under that would be unthinkable. However, as a Cleric to a Cleric and Party Leader to Senior Adviser, I will let it go for 270." Bet you didn't see that coming.
  15. Just thinking about it now, for Hoke I would almost think that he should go for more Ether-boosting artifacts, since he's a Mystic Knight. Mystic Knights always need a ton of ether, and if you have the ether than upgrading you shield to meet whatever lacks you had shouldn't be too much of a problem. Of course, I imagine Hoke won't be staying on as a Mystic Knight for too long especially with that Medal of Glory, so in that case armour probably is better.
  16. "Hmmm...umm...okay?" I wonder at the rude behaviour. Hardly seems like a brother, I muse.
  17. Where can I download the pdfs of the old LEGO catalogues? Need to get some nostalgia back.
  18. I have to say, I don't think Pretzel was extremely diplomatic. In fact, everyone else, besides Nessa was probably more diplomatic than he was.
  19. Spying Sylph entering the hall, I call over to him. "Druid, there's a strange creature on your shoulder. I would suggest removing him quickly, or would you like me to do it for you..." I once again clutch the steak. It gives me a feeling of power. "You still interested in these robes? I bought them off of the chap before our quest, but you ended up using them the whole time. Not sure if they're quite for me. I may go for some armour instead. What do you say?"
  20. Was there any situation where Diplomacy was critical?
  21. Yeah, I was pretty surprised myself. I guess Erdathcath helped Pretzel see the good in Druids or something. CMP, why did she want a knight in the party?
  22. "It preserves its potency for the consummation of the evil. It is very handy. I suppose I shall accept your 150 gold, though I think the weapon is worth more than that. It is always nice to meet a brother who recognizes evil and can be a help in conquering it. Any chance you'd throw a Phoenix Incense in as well, as I saw you carrying a number? It would greatly help me in my struggle."
  23. So you'd have x4 against Beasts, Plants, Flying, Vermin, and Fiery/x 2 against: Aquatic, Humanoid, Holy, Electric, Icy, Rock, Demons, and Undead/rendering your weapons only getting a neutral response from Mechanic enemies. Of course, if you were to remove the Sapphire from the first weapon, then you would gain a x2 multiplier against Mechanic, but sacrifice the x 4 against Flying and Vermin, so whatever suits you. The only creature immune to lightning are Electric Monsters (oddly enough), so you should be fine with it, and only de-equip it should you face a fight with Electric monsters, who are not altogether common. If you are using Weapon 2, you'd still deal neutral damage to them. Using the Electro-gear would prevent you from needing to imbue a Topaz, though I'm not sure if it's worth the artifact slot.
  24. With the new ruling on the Counterstrike Gloves (which I believe is a thing now?) Having a lot of SP renders the Counterstrike Gloves somewhat useless, in my opinion, so I don't think it would be a terrible idea to sell them off. For a 2-weapon-system I believe Flipz advocated the: Weapon 1: Amethyst, Sapphire, Ruby, Topaz, and Opal Weapon 2: Diamond, Garnet, Emerald, and Aquamarine, I believe. Not sure if I'm right about the Sapphire, you could probably almost leave it out, but this plan should give you: Weapon 1: x4 Beasts, Plants, Flying, Vermin/x2 Aquatic, Humanoid, Holy/Neutral: Icy, Mechanic, Undead/Immune: Fiery, Rock, Electric, Demon Weapon 2: x4 Fiery/x2 Electric, Icy, Rock, Demon, Undead/Neutral: Aquatic, Beasts, Mechanic, Humanoid/Immune: Plants, Flying, Vermin, Holy Correct me if I'm wrong.
  25. "My good man, this is no food!" I chuckle. "I can't say it didn't have me confused at the time of my seizing upon it, but it is a highly effective weapon. See that demon over there?" I point out Dreyrugr. "One hit from this, and he's finished. Dead meat! That's the power of this..." I hoist the steak from the cart and hold it high in case Dreyrugr should be looking our way.
