For you people who can't read swedish: I got contacted through my blog by a productioncompany that makes a kids program on SVT (Swedish national TV) called Philofix. They are now searching for a "LEGO-expert", preferably in the Stockholm-region, that can build something cool on the show.
  2. It seems like they changed their minds regarding Atlantik. The first prelim was discovered a week ago. And on it's box it's Atlantis with an "s".
  3. Well I think it's wery likely that we'll see a SP HQ or jail next year.
  4. ...you do not consider stepping on a LEGO piece to be the most painful thing in the world. ...horses or male pornstars aren't the first thing you think of when hearing "stud". ...you always sweep the floors before your wife/girlfriend gets around to do it. Because god knows what pieces will be lost otherwise!
  5. I rarly put any of my sets on Display. Besides my Cafe Corner and UCS Batmobile sets can be taken apart, either completly or partially, just hours after it was built. Sets lasting for more than a week is quite rare.
  6. Hehe if you got a lot of cash you can probably buy it from it's creator.
  7. I must admit that the BT I fig is my favourite of all minifigs, even over the Classic-Space figs. I try to buy figs/torsos in every bricklink-store I order from that has them. I so wish that LEGO had revived Blacktron together with Space Police instead of that "Black hole gang". :(
  8. There's a small app by Anders Nolberger that can export a XML-wanted list from your LDD-project. http://www.nolberger.se/Lego/Wantedbricks/Default.htm I haven't tried this myself though as I never use LDD.
  9. Considering the vast amount of licensed themes next year I suspect will see quite alot of inhouse themes/lines butchered. Is suspect that Belville is over. Agents is likely to go away. Pirates will probably get a few more sets. But the biggest slaughter will most likely be in city. Police will surely take a break and be back in 2011. Firefighters may do the same. Coastguard is gone. At the end of next year we'll probably see the end of Pirates, Power Miners and maybe even Space Police. I kind'a think that Racers are ending too. Sure the sets are great partspacks but it seems like they're really struggling to keep the interest alive. It's starting to feel like the sets are in their third, fourh or even higher iteration.
  10. I'm sorry but I have no info about any other sets. The dates above were given to me whilst being indecisive about what set to buy. And I must say that they made me make up my mind. But 10184 Town Plan was released just last year so I think it should be available for at least one more year.
  11. Duh! Managed to make a fool of myself again... :(
  12. So I just noticed that the Golden minifig Keychain turned up on S@H. It's a campaign in July. Spend $75 (US) or 70€ on S@H or in a LEGO brand retailer store and you'll get one for free. You'll have to enter a certain four letter code at S@H checkout. I first got a shock when I saw the specified amount on the Swedish page. There it says 700€ (!!). I just thought to myself: "Where the h*ll am I going to get that kind of money? I need to rob a bank!!". But after looking at other countries offers I'm assuming they mean 700 SEK which is about 70€. A little less actually. :)
  13. If you want to buy 10182 Cafe Corner to retailer price you got six months to save up before prices will increase significantly. Because the info I have specifies that it will be cancelled at 31/12 2009. According to the same source 10185 Green Grocer will last until the same date but in 2011. I also have an ending date for 10193 Medieval Market Village which is end of 2012. Don't have anything on 10190 Market Street but I assume it'll end either this year or in the end of 2010. So I guess you can expect that the LEGO exclusiveswill have a lifespan of about 2 - 3 years. And It's likely that
  14. I missed a lot of thoose space themes as they were released during my dark age. But my favourite amongst the themes I have had Blacktron I is definitely my all time favourite. I just love the colorscheme of black with a touch of yellow and trans-red and trans-yellow windows/canopies. And the black minifigs are just supercool. Second and third places goes to Classic Space and Futuron.
  15. They have had theese blocks for a while now. AFAIK they are 100% compatible with LEGO. But you can easily tell them apart as all the K'nex pieces have rounded corners.
  16. I do prefer the classic yellows over "fleshies". Because Lando Calrissian looked wierd in yellow!
  17. I did realise this soon after seeing it for the first time. I was wondering a lot about how he made that part. And it was a little disapointing to realize that it was made by modifying the bricks. I can appreciate modded minifigs for what they are: modified. But here is something claimed to be made out of LEGO that can't be made with LEGO. It's kind of cheating and that takes away all the greatness of it.
  18. Maybe I'm a being extremly pessimistic but I think that the license heavy 2010 may prove to be a bad timing. Specially if they will be attracting kids away from the inhouse themes rather than attract new customers combined with a probable decline in sales. The recession is still in works and I'm not sure we've seen the bottom of it yet. Me personally aren't too thrilled about any of the licenses. I always find them way too expensive per parts included. The only good thing is that they may spawn some useful parts we're unlikely to get otherwise. Like that Speed Racer windshield for example. Anyhow It's going to be pretty interesting to see how many of the licenses that'll survive to 2011.
  19. Yes I align the tiles/plates. And I usually use the brickseparator to do it.
  20. I think Ferrari is a going away. It seems like there isn't much left to do. It seems like every set has bee nreleased in at least two versions. Lamborgini is a follow up on the 10187 Volkswagen Beetle set. We might se more of Lamborgini if this one sells well but I wouldn't bet on it. I think we will see Indy for a couple of years more. I think it's popularity has been proven enough just in this thread. And I bet it has sold pretty well to. And I think it's going to be interesting to see how many of next years licensed themes will make it to a second year. The only concern I have is that the sheer volume of new licenses next year will truncate the non-licensed themes. The biggest toy store in my area has had Speed Racer sets of most sizes at up to 50% clearance since before christmas and they are still not getting rid of them. I guess that since the movie sucked it hasn't created any intrest in the sets. And all the new exciting stuff LEGO has been releasing this year isn't helping either.
  21. Had a feeling they'd go with the Max Speed Transport with 5980 rather than the more armoured look of this prelim design.
  22. Actually it's both june and august news has turned up on swedish S@H. The June releases did become available today 2 june. Don't know if they're planning to release the august sets early or why they're on S@H already.
  23. Nope! There's still the blue one left. Most likely included in a volume 4...
  24. If LEGO really is into reviving old themes I guess we may get cowboys. *hint*
  25. If this has been posted somewere else around here already I guess I suck att searching but anyhow... Volume three of the Vintage minifig Collection has turned up on bricklink. The most spectacular thing about it I guess is that blue Cowboy hat that opens for a comeback of the Cowboys theme.
