From what I've heard 10185 Green Grocer will last all the way to the end of 2011.

Thanks for all the comments. You've really given me some things to think about and maybe develop further. Well, I know that currenly they're dressing up the display for christmas and I don't really have any pieces to spare for that kind of thing. So I'm currently planning on adding it early next year. Besides I need to save up for the shipping of this thing.

This is a tan and bley CC-styled building I've built for the same display as this house made by Etzel. It's the first time I've attempted to build a house in the Café Corner style. And it bears almost no resemblance to my original plan. Which at the time I considered to be a bit too piece-demanding as it needed to be at least 8-studs wider (this building is 16-wide). However this turned out to require a lot of pieces too and therefore it's completion has been delayed for almost two months due to the need of several bricklink orders. As the display is placed on the top of a shelf and can only be viewed from a few meters away there is no interior made for it. Front side. Back side. Balcony closeup A small "trash-shed". Where the trashcans are stored. Inspiration for this shed comes from one just like it at a appartmentcomplex in a town I used to work in. And the reason it's there is that I needed to spare my 1x2 bley bricks. I didn't have enough of 'em to finish the house. Or at least I didn't when the shed was built. A few more pics can be found on flickr.

Wouldn't call trans-black a minor color. Sure, it's pretty much a "windscreens only" color. But I think it's the most common color on windscreens today. And it seems like they're making a major change on that color as well. Considering they're talking in terms of "replacing" rather than "modifying".

You'll have to figure that out for yourselves. ;) You can always send me a lot of cash! Nope!

With my "mental powers" I see a building that is tan and grey rather than yellow and grey. I also see windows that are more dark green than black. And of the 5 minifigs there is one window washer in a typical external windowwasher lift. ;)

As soon as the PaB selection is updated. But who knows when that is...

Thanks for your comments guys. I went with 6-wide as the original plan was to make the car two-seated. Unfortunatly the idea I had turned out to not work as well in reality as I thought. Atleast not until LEGO comes up with 1x2x4 panels. :/

Weren't there supposed to be some new type of "building experience" involved? As theese fig looks it seems almost like they meant to say "No building experience involved". ;) I just hope that they contain more pieces than it looks like. I'd say they contain about 20-ish pieces max. However I doubt it will be Galidor all over as this series at least has a quite larger fanbase.

Welcome to the insanely stressful, headache-causing and fun world of legoblogging!

So I had a couple of ideas before I startedout building a sportscar. Unfortunatly I weren't able to use most of them. Atleast not in this first version. Anyhow here' are some pictures of my first attempt as an AFOL to build a sportscar.

It means that the set will be off the stores shelves by summer. And I doubt that LEGO releases a wave with a life expectancy of only six months.

Im guessing that Pirates will be back in 2011... But then as a license theme...
-
Well, in my "enhanced" picture you can see that the visor is way to transparent to be a chrome color. And a trans-color would make more sense in a diving theme.
-
Maybe I have poor eyesight but I had a hard time seeing anything on that dark picture with the diver so I brought it into photoshop and added some brightness to it. Here's the result That headgear looks new. Both it and the airtanks seem to be a single piece. Oh and the large-size visor is back. In a trans-color this time. Probably in some neon color though...

The only UCS for indy I can really think of is a model of the ark. Or mayby an Indy statue. Kind of like this yoda figure

Well, I guess it's almost beyond doubt that we'll se a comeback of Harry Potter next year. But thats just about all we know. The question is in what form and where they'll be released. From what I've been hearing about this I'm thinking that the sets mentioned are either "just" promos or won't be released world wide.

How many studs is the 10" by 10" baseplate?
Mirandir replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, a baseplate is much more flexible than regular bricks. When holding it on one of it's sides will make it bend under it's own weight. And you can't really stack 'em since they don't have any "antistuds". -
Classic Space is the sets that had the classic space men with that old helmet. After that came futuron. Futuron had some inheritance from Classic Space but aren't really part of it. If you ask me.

I've missed that lawsuit too. However the impulse sets are pretty much just a fig and some utensils. So it can be argued that a Star Wars impulse is a "action figure" rather than an "constructible toy". Even though the fig's gear are made from a number of LEGO bricks. So I'm assuming that this was what that lawsuit was all about. So, to make sure it is considered a constructable toy LEGO adds a small vechile of about 60 - 90 pieces to the battlepacks.

They won't stop Indiana Jones for a year. They're canceling the theme. :( I think the only hope for more Indy-sets is a fift movie...
-
For all I know the answer to the question of this topic is: no. I dont expect any new Indy sets next year.

I did a sort a whileback where all, or so I thought, broken and miscolored bricks were sorted out. But as I build I've found that there are plenty of 'em left. So I guess I wasn't as harsh as I thought I was. All the bricks I sorted out I gave to the kids.

I'm sorry. I were just to lazy to translate it and after all it's pretty much meant for the swedes frequenting this forum. Oh, and it's like Etzel says. The "expert" they're looking for is an AFOL who can build something cool. The show is a kind of crafting show for kids. It's only about 12 minutes long and it probably needs to be something the kids could do with their own collection. So it's most likely not going anywhere near big. And I guess anyone who's speaking swedish can apply for it. But I doubt they'll pay any travel expenses as they're specifically asking for someone in Stockholm.
