As I stated before so according to Fredrik Pettersson on LEGO MR. Chromie-Vader will also make an apearance in Germany next year. Don't know in what form though.
-
Technically it does come with a set as you must buy the anniversary Tie Fighter to get it. I'm assuming that the US and Germany campaigns won't be simple "handouts" either.
-
According to a post by LEGO-employee Fredrik Pettersson on swelug forums over at lugnet campaigns with this chrome-black Darth Vader minifig will run in, at least, Germany and US next year.
-
So the terrorist and Nazi minifigs made by Brickarms has been targeted in this article on The Sun's website. It seems like they've missed the point that, as far as I know, theese minifigs aren't really sold to children...
-
If you are living in or near Skellefteå I just wanted to give a heads up! 5 of the Tie fighter sets with this figure _may_ be heading your way next week. Or rather four as one of them will be mine! ;) I'll let you know more as soon as I know.

There are two editions of the set. One Limited and one "Regular". As I understand it Lego does make a deal from time to time with chains of toystores in the US to give them exclusive rights to release a certain set before everyone else. I guess they're also only produced in small numbers. Theese sets are marked with a "Limited Edition"-splash on the box. And after the sets sell out it can take quite some time( if ever?) before the regular version is released on that market. And in the case of the Dwarve's Mine I think the price of the Limited Edition was lower than for the regular version.

I just realized that it's kind of funny that one of the stores around here that don't have this offer is owned by a guy who has one of Swedens largest Lego Star Wars collection. He does have the largest collection that's available for public display.
-
Just to bad it only seems to be at certain select toystores in larger cities. It doen't seem to be available in my "state" (län) at all... :(
-
Aaaargh!!! Don't you guys ever move to the north parts of sweden if you ever want to take advantage of any of theese kinds of campaigns. Because to no suprise there is no store in my area that has this offer. Is there anyone in the north of Sweden that has found this offer in their local stores? If so where?
-
Is this in *any* toystore or is it a certain one?
-
There is this as well. Unfortunatly it seems like they dropped blacktron. I guess since it's Space police the risk of having a kind of funky colorscheme is at high risk. At least I have always felt that the space police Colorschemes are a bit funky. At least with the trans-parts. (Trans-green for SP I and trans-red for SP II.). Since TLC seem to really be in love with trans-orange canopies we are likely to see that in the colorscheme.
-
Neither! It's Space Police III.
-
Yes. They're about 30 cm (11,8 inch) longer. So the package doesn't seem to include all exclusive items from the set. But since they're not visible they can easily be replaced with this one. You just have to use more of them.

I'm in too. /Johan

I read about this on the bricklink forum: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=eventdetailed You get to meet LEGO's designers as well as a guided tour of the Billund factory and the set Archive (Where LEGO has saved a MISB version of "all" sets released) and much more. All for a "neat" cost of about $1,700 USD.

Lego collectors with children in the house
Mirandir replied to Barbaros's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've got three kids. A 9 years old daughter and two 10 year old boys (Twins). Of them it's mainly my daughter that's interested in LEGO (Spongebob Squarepants LEGO to be specific). Of course the boys are also somewhat into LEGO but not as much as my daughter. I do let them use my LEGO to build their own MOC's. Therefore I've only got a very basic sorting. There are some rules they have to follow: I have to be present, no friends allowed, boxes/polybags that are unopened stays unopened, my WIPs are off limits, etc. And get your kids their own LEGO. It's so much easier to keep them of yours then. -
This is probably another "minifig" by Ego Leonard. Just like that previous one was...
-
they can be found on Bricklink. Not inventoried in any sets but there are 4 of them up for sale by two UK sellers.

In Agenda, a news debate on Swedish public television (SVT), took up the economic crisis in the world and in a clip about houseloans the loans are ilustrated using houses built in LEGO. If anyone is intrested the show can be seen online here: http://svt.se/svt/play/video.jsp?a=1283283 (The clip with LEGO are at about 25:30)

Hints and Tips needed: Where to get specific parts?
Mirandir replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Right now I'm spending 100% of my "LEGO-money" on Bricklink. It really is the best place when you are looking for specific pieces. However there are some things you need to remember: 1.) Always read a store's Term of Service page. If not you can be up for an unplesant suprise. E.g: Amongst European sellers it's popular to use a fixed exchange rate, Some charge you a small fee if you don't shop for a certain amount, some use a minimum shipping cost, If you're a European buyer some European shops will add VAT to the invoice, there are even sellers that add the fee from bricklink on top of your invoice. So a piece that seams cheap can actually turn out to be one of the most expensive ones on Bricklink. 2.) Always check up the sellers feedback. This is common sense I guess but itis always good to remember that. The only real way to get banned from selling on bricklink by missbehaving aginst buyers is by getting three NSS(Non-shipping Seller) and/or NRS(Non-Responsive Seller) events filed against you. And of course don't let a few negatives/neutrals on a high feedback seller scare you off ( Or make you feel that the seller is safe for that matter!). Read the feedback comments as well as check up the user leaving that negative/neutral. 3.) Check the "problem order" forum regularly. Usually any issues with a problematic seller will show up there quicker than in that sellers feedback. 4.) If there's some problem with your order(Missing pieces, wrong colors, poor quality or the package just isn't showing up) do contact the seller about this. Most of them are willing to work with you to resolve the issue. In the end turning a negative experience into a positive one. And finally I hope you'll find shopping on bricklink as fun and satisfying as I do. :) -
When it comes to prices of Lego sets the best way to convert prices is simplo to make an exchange of 1:1. The pricetag in Euro's are identical to the pricetag in USD. So a €79.99 price in Europe will be $79.99 in the US. With Star Wars sets the USD pricetag is less than the EURO (E.g. The rebel speeder is €12.95 but only $9.99 in the US) . I guess that's because the license fee is a percentage of the price and is applied after the 1:1 exchange.

in this episode of NCIS McGee uses a LEGO model of a warehouse to show how the bad guys could sneak out with the radar system whitout being caught on the cameras. Edit: It's not quite the whole model thats built out of lego it's just a forklift with driver. Here's that scene on youtube (it's at the end of the clip). Also Gibbs can be seen playing with the LEGO-forklift in this clip.

LEGO has been around for as long as I can remember. Some of my first memories do involve LEGO.
