What they actual are planning is to increase the impulse shopping of Lego Star Wars and lure over more kids that aren't already into Lego Star Wars. So all in all they wan't kids to spend less on the battlepacks but in the end more kids/parents buying Lego Star Wars...

I must say that I wasn't sure myself at first as I'm really suprised that there is so little EP I sets. With the new 3D release of EP1 I was sure that a mayority of the sets would be EP1 and not OT. However many of the OT sets are pretty iconic sets that hasn't been out for a while so it is due time. But considering the source and the fact that they did uncover the Tie Fighter at comic con I'm pretty convinced that the whole list is true.

I'll sum up what I've presented here as facts. Unfortunatly I cannot, or at this point rather don't want to, prove them with pictures or by naming sources. So I guess you'll have to take my word for it. 1.) Lego will change the battlepacks to include both sides. The reason behind this is that they want "conflict in a box". The kids should be able to spend they're allowance on a small set and be able to do battles with just that set. As it is now they need to buy both battle packs to do that. One battle pack is an Endor Battle pack with 2 rebel troopers, 1 scout trooper with a speeder and a storm trooper as well as a tree with a flickfire launcher. The other Battle pack is a CW battlepack featuring 2 Commando Droids, 1 ARC Trooper and one ARF Trooper. The Structure is a small republic artillery Cannon. 2.) There will be a total of 11 Lego Star Wars sets in stores in 1st half year of 2012. This includes 2 Special Edition (Store exclusives) sets and 3 sets from a new concept but excludes any UCS sets, polybags or any other promos. Of theese sets 6 will be OT, 2 CW, 1 EP III and 2 EP I sets 3.) The new concept is a sort of collectible that are standalone but may expand on each other. The set includes a display stand a minifigure and buildable parts of which one can be displayed either standing or hanging. The price of theese sets will be $9.99/€9.99. There will be three of theese sets released per half year. In the first wave one is clearly OT and the other two could be said is Episode I. But the concept is more Star Wars in general than related to a specific movie. 4.) The Queen Amidala fig will not be released in the first half year. But I guess that's no suprise as the fig shown at comic con was a pretty rough prototype.

The collectibles are standalone. But can also be expand on each other in a way. Did I mention that besides a display stand there's also a possibility to hang a portion of the set from the roof? There will be three of theese sets in each wave. The sets will include 1 minifig. BTW of the jan sets 6 is OT, 2 is Clone Wars, 1 is episode III. Only two sets could be said is linked to episode 1 and both of theese are from the new concept.

It's a new concept and isn't included in those "6 system sets". BTW that number doesn't include two Exclusive/special edition sets either. So there's a total of 11 sets in first half year of 2012

Yes I'm pretty sure as I've seen preliminary pics of both battlepacks. And it seems like LEGO is really up to doing things they haven't done before in next year when it comes to Star Wars. E.g. a whole new type of collectible sets. Not randomly packed stuff like the collectible minifigures but rather things thats supposed to be put on a shelf. The crome color itself is expensive. It can't be molded into the brick so it'll have to be printed and it scratches real easily so I assume there's a high volume of replacement parts.

Hate to disapoint but to my knowledge there's only one Endor Battle Pack coming containing: 2 Endor Rebel Troops, 1 Storm Trooper, 1 Scout trooper a speeder bike and a small tree with a flick fire missile. The other Battle pack contains: 1 ARC Trooper, 1 ARF Trooper, 2 Commando Droids and a republic Artillery canon.

It's not a dragon's face it's the face of one of the snakeman foes of next year...

I predict that both Police and Fire will be thrown out the woods next year... Remember where you read that first!

I doubt that there will be a The Hobbit license or a Lord of the Rings license for that matter. It's to late for LotR (It's eight years since Return of the King came out!!) and has kids of today even heard of "The Hobbit"? If they have, how eager are they to buy Lego sets based on it? So all in all I think that a theme based on Tolkein has a really low potential of being successful

Dunno if it's really a policy of any sort but if it was, it was changed well before Brandenburger Tor: 21008 Burj Khalifa

Brandenburger Tor!

Looking at a picture of Cole ZX minifigure and just realized something... It won't take long before someone has assembled Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles as a minifigure. Cole ZX's headgear looks a lot like what Shredder wears...
-
Kind of, They're snakemen to be exact...
-
The design is quite similar but actually a bit simpler. The color scheme is as follows: ground and statues on the roof is light bley, roof is sand green and all the rest is in tan.
-
Not more than it's from whitin Lego. Brandenburger Tor has 362 pieces and a lot of sand green cheese wedges.
-
Yeah that's a genuine Lego Architecture set. The setnumber is 21010. BTW don't know if this is known already but there's also a Brandenburg Tor coming out with setnumber 21011...

In 2012 We'll see: A big release of a girls theme. NinjaGo will not only continue it will feature a whole new faction and the spinjitzu game will evolve with new types of cards... Probably some more PotC.

Uploaded two new pictures to my flickr. The first is a topdown view over the ground floor. The other one is this view of the second floor looking down onto the ground floor.

Thanks. No not yet as I don't own any train stuff yet. Not even a single train track piece...

Finally, after 3 years in the making my watertower MOC is finnished. It's based on an old watertower that located near the railroad in the town where I live. It was built in 1911 and was used to keep water for the station's waterhorses. Pictures on both exterior and the interior of the original tower can be found here. And now pictures of the MOC. There's also a few more pictures here The exterior. Unfortunatly the windows used on the second floor isn't available in either sand green (preferable) or reddish brown. So they've dictated the white windows and door. :( I have been thinking about using stickers on trans clear panels instead but I haven't had the time or money to actualy go through with that. :/ I guess white works but sand green would have been so much nicer and is real close to the original color... Here's a closer look on the third floor windows. The have the same arches above them as all oter windows as well as the fron door has. There's also a larger decorative arc above the windows. Underneath the roof the trusses are sticking out with decorative ends. The original has 6 trusses but it wasn't doable in this scale so I had to bring the number down to four. :/ A piece of the southern roof can be taken of. Revealing a small platform from which the hatch in the nothern side of the roof can be accessed. A big watertank takes up most of the third floor. The tank is divided into two compartments. Each being fed water through separate pipes. This is a ventilation from the office/lab on the second floor. tools... Trapdoor leading down to second floor. And speaking of the second floor... ... here it is. This pipe leads the water from the tank above to the waterhorses on the railyard. The alcony on floor two. The small grey pipe is the chimney from the heater on ground floor. The left white pipe is watersupply for one of the compartments in the tank above. The other white piper is sevege. Besides the balcony there is this small office/lab. Amongst other things it was used to recharge batteries for the train lanterns. A dangerous task as the process could cause explosive gasses. And the room is poorly ventilated. Also notice that the windows are located almost at the height of the floor. This is the staircase between ground floor and second floor. It's sticking up quite a bit and has a habit of being bumped loos as one puts on the second floor module. I was trying to get it splitable but couldn't come up with a workable solution so it'll probably stay the way it is now. The pump that is used to bring water to the tower is electric and is driven by athe red generator. The generator is in it's turn driven by a hot bulb engine. A heater for hot water. Besides the engine room with the hot bulb engine driven generator and heater there's this bath room on the ground floor. It was used by the railroad employees to clean themselves. This was before the breakthrough of showers. Also I just have to mention that the dark red tiling on the bathroom floor is generously sponsored by Eurobricks own ambassador Copmike. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Now it's just a question of where to put it while I build the old train station to acompany it... Since the station is "just" 6 times as big I guess it'll just take me the next 18 years...

As prateek said, there aren't a whole lot of things that isn't known about the upcoming release. If you haven't seen the pictures yet go see them over at brickset.

Unfortunatly I don't have a list of what shops participated. I was told that it was the top 100 stores that sells most LEGO in Sweden that had this campaign. So larger toystores had it. Some shops may have cards left, I don't know. I know that my favourite store, "HB Adventure", had some left when I was there a week ago. But it's located in Skellefteå far north in Sweden.

The piece, actually pieces, isn't really new. But this is the first time it comes in a different color than trans clear. -

In Whitecap Bay there are not only two buckets but also two bottles in trans black (they can be seen through the window in the black door).
