TECHNIC SMALL CAR CONTEST - VOTING TOPIC Voting will consist of two stages! You are eligible to vote when you have at least 50 posts. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. You are eligible to vote if you have AT LEAST 50 POSTS. You may NOT vote for your own entry. You can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected). In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Discussion Topic. For example (entries randomly chosen): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please don't type #1:10, 1 = 10 or 1) 10 or other notations. Stick to the example format shown above. Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Discussion Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING Voting scheme will consist of 100% member voting, but there will be two stage voting! The Top-10 will continue to the finals for a second (and final) round of voting. Voting criteria are (in no particular order): Originality. Looks (shape, color scheme etc). Quality of the build. Functionality. ENTRIES All entries can be found in the entry thread: Please visit the entry topic to see all entries. 1. H&C F6 by osterum 2. Look ma, no beams! by Jurss 3. Formula 1 by juGSI16V 4. [TC18] Porsche 911/964 AWD
Jim replied to Limga's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks like a proper convertible To bad you weren't able to finish it before the deadline. Please, do finish it regardless of the contest. -
I think I know what caused this. We had some email issues, which we solved....a bit too well I will look into it.
-
@TheFunnyMan I am sure you had good intentions, so no worries. Others have made clear what the main problem with your request is. I think we need to leave it at that and close this topic. Agreed?
-
PS I will leave the entry topic open. If someone is interested in going through the posts and see if all entries do have a chassis pic, be my guest. There is still time to correct. I will close the topic by the end of the day and I won't be sending messages to contestants about missing pics. I will simply disqualify.\ So please check your entry! Or check other people's entries and inform them.

Hi. Welcome to EB. EB is for adult (18+) members only. We tend to look the other way if you are mature enough. However, please don't advertise that you are under-aged. Can you edit your post and remove the part about your age. And as others have stated, images should not be hosted on EB. I recommend creating a Bricksafe account. You can upload your images there and link them here. Have fun! -

There's a dedicated topic for the Lamborghini. There's plenty of talk about this -

Dark tan would be cool, but that will probably be another single use color. -

Could simply be a matter of lighting. I still think it's defender green. Doesn't make sense to release yet another color which is almost the same as defender green. -

Those will combine nicely with the Olive Green of the Land Rover. -
The bottom one will repeat, the top one doesn't. The top one can be transparent, but it doesn't need to be.
-
The most simple approach is to create two images of 1800 x 200 pixels. One for the left 1800 pixels and one that will repeat over the x-axis. Be my guest to come up with more fancy stuff, but I recommend starting simple and go from there.

I know for a fact that the Technic designers at TLG are perfectly able to compete with MOCers. But making a MOC is different than making an official model. It makes me sad to hear people say things like "they keep on failing". While you are entitled to your opinion, there are a handful of AFOLs who think the Porsche and Bugatti are failures. Millions of people think otherwise and the sales numbers are there to prove it. The Porsche was in TLG's Top 10 a couple of years ago. Nuff said. And the funny thing is; most of the people who think it's a failure take pride in owning one. Or they can't afford one and that's why they say it's a failure. So the Porsche and Bugatti are perfect sets?! No, of course they are not. But let's be happy that TLG releases these kind of sets. And if you really don't like them, simply fork out 500-1500 euro for a MOC on Rebrickable and start complaining directly to the designer. Amen -
