[HELP] LEGO Digital Designer 4.3.12
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Version 4.3.11 works like a charm. I do get a license error, but the 42082 loads without missing parts. Interesting! Good to know. -

Yes I have. Let me download it on my work laptop. Maybe it's firewall related. I have read about that in older topics as well. To no avail... -
[HELP] LEGO Digital Designer 4.3.12

Perhaps I need to give in too. But I love LDD so much. I can do things quickly. And I was also asking for a friend. So I do hope there's a solution. Why offer a non working 4.3.12 version?! -
Hey guys, I know I'm in the wrong forum, but here are more active users (I reckon). I'm having issues installing the latest version (4.3.12) on my new laptop. It has the know "can't connect to internet blabla" message. So I don't have all the parts. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Or does anyone still have the 4.3.11 installer somewhere? 4.3.11 is working just fine on my other computer? I can also try to copy some files from there, but I'm not sure that will work. Any help is appreciated.

I will allow it for this contest, since I don't want to be as strict as usual. However, please bear in mind that this is an example of something that would NOT be allowed in future contests. Contests are about building something new, and not getting something of the shelf which you have been working on for a while. I know it's hard to enforce, but that's why I added the rule (if you have shown it somewhere before the start of the contest, it's not allowed). I know you model is not exactly the same, but it's clearly based on something you have been working on. So go ahead, have fun, but be aware that I will not allow this in a future contest. -
I don't like it either. On the one hand, I am getting tired of these questions. On the other hand, we started the contest to have fun during the quarantaine. And as a wise man once said "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few", so I'd rather have more people building. By the way; 49.5 is not the diameter, right? It's the circumference? Another comment regarding using existings builds. In a future contest I will disqualify this build, since pictures of more or less the same chassis have been posted on Flickr before the start of the contest. I will be lenient this time, but next contest will be more strict.
-
Okay guys, I'll tell you what.....you can use ANY tire with a max diameter or 49.5! Go nuts. Please stick to a max of 49.5. This is because of Corona and I like to see as many people as possible building. There will be a contest with very limited scope and tire options next time. When I start such a contest, I don't want ANY comments about it. Deal? Please remember; the car needs to fit the box dimensions. PS; I'm sorry if you ordered tires, especially for this contest.

Hi @sirslayer, I absolutely love your MOC!! However, I am concerned that this is not a new MOC. The rules dictate that we all build something new and never shown before. Are you sure this meets the regulations? Edit: I see your pics have been posted on Flickr before the start of the contest. -

For those of you who haven't seen the new topic, let's continue the 42111 conversation here. -
Nope. I am making the changes as we speak. This is what I am aiming at. I have altered the rules. Let me know if I missed a tire. I can't include Tire 49.5 x 20, since they are way bigger than the others, sorry. But I will probabably do a contest like "Build any vehicle with 49.5 x 20 tires" in the future

With a bit of a delay... HispaBrick Magazine 034 is here! It took longer than usual because we have a new member on the team. She is a BFOD (Baby Fan Of Duplo) who prefers her father plays with her rather than allowing him to prepare the magazine for the whole AFOL community :) The cover of this issue is very special. It is a tribute to the mother of Luigi Priori, one of our contributors, who passed away recently. This cover is a heartfelt tribute and a show of support to our friend. During this time of confinement, we're delighted to show you Antha's models, and you can see how the Star Wars Boost Droid Orchestra was made. Although we can't travel, we will do a virtual tour of the LEGO Store in Shanghai and relive the emotional moments of Christmas with a proposal by StuckInPlastic. We also have our EV3 Programming tutorial, we'll see another analysis of the Friends minidolls, and we'll analyze a lot of sets from 2019, but providing extra information about the apps that control them. And of course, the number 034 of our comic strip "Desmontados". And as we are in the time of being at home, we have a special offer for you: All issues of HispaBrick Magazine FREE! Of course, they always are, but it's a good excuse to sail through 12 years of LEGO hobby if you haven't done it yet. Enjoy! Click on the image or here to download the magazine!

The mirrors have been explicitly mentioned in the rules. And I am cool with an protruding bush on a tire axle as well. That's the spirit! The height was not set in stone before I started the contest, so I was looking for suggestions. Regarding the tires; I like to narrow down the options and avoid people constantly asking if they can use this or that tire instead. I'm sorry you won't be able to join because of this. On the other hand...four tires/rims won't break the bank. Other than that; the tire you mentioned is too big for the contest. However, let me see if I can find a compromise. Do you own these tires? The ones Jurss mentioned.
